Don't stress about the larger amounts at the end of the challenge. Do this...as you fill-up the smaller amounts in the beginning, repurpose that money to fill in the higher amounts. Then fill up the smaller amounts again. for example, if you have stuffed $3, $23 and $24 those add up to $50. So repurpose that $50 to stuff the $50 envelope. :o) and rinse and repeat for those larger amounts. it won't fill as daunting and you feel accomplished. Just a thought, hope it helps. :o)

Love the idea of starting small. I've been feeling overwhelmed by the thought of the larger denomination envelopes and I think that's what's kept me from starting. I've made my box up with the envelopes and you're right they are a lot of work lol Thank you for sharing.
Am doing two 100 envelope challenges I just have a set amount that I want to put in the envelopes one is 20 the other one 30 and I just keep putting those amounts in you can do it anyway you feel comfortable
Ok, I might be a total nerd about this. But when you said your plan to stuff this $1300 into the traditional 100 envelope challenge, I started playing around with the calculator. If you stuff $1300 backwards from 100- you would get to 87 with 78 left over. You could stuff the 78 envelope OR if you started stuffing the rest of the cash from the bottom up, you would evenly get envelopes 1-12 stuffed. Then you would just have all the middle ones from 13-86 left! So however you decide to slice it, it's going to be pretty cool to have that much accomplished right from the get go.

I hadn't seen Lisa's new tracker. I've seen a lot of CZcamsrs do their 100 envelope challenges in different ways. Start at the low end then at some point unstuff it and move it to the high end, is the way I will do it when I can start it.

I will use method. Was wanting to do this and have my challenge done when I retire in three years but couldn't be able to do the bigger envelopes due to 401k and six month emergency challenge. No other debt. Thanks!

That is a great idea to just adjust it for your budget! That way you get the sense of accomplishment just a little sooner and can roll it into a bigger challenge!

I use 30 white envelopes marked with three dollar amounts on each envelope. $1, $31, $61. Etc. The envelopes are shuffled and I blindly pick. I only stuff with the first $ amount until all are stuffed. Then I reshuffle and blind pick the second dollar amount. I keep track of what was picked by using a dot paper from my printer. I make squares and write the numbers inside the boxes and cross them off. I also printed a music sheet and made quarter notes with hearts. Every $100 (after unstuffing) will be colored in. My goal is to but a newer car and pay some of my son's student loan. I am debt free and live on social security. Anyone can do this.

That's a fun idea but it's more work bcuz to get thru the big numbers you can just take the amounts of the smaller envelopes and add them up to stuff the bigger envelopes and you don't have to go thru all that red tape
Thank you very much! I went to her page and purchased a bunch of items. I'm on a very fixed income so doing the 100 envelope seemed out of my league. But doing it in four 25's I can handle nicely. I don’t know how I happened to see your video I was mentioning how to do the hundred dollar savings Challenge with a twist to a friend of mine and your video came up, I was explaining how (Lisa Grateful for me) savings was doing challenge.. because I am also doing it I had restarted it back in April… exactly like you I am doing 2 envelope challenge the original, and the Lisa grateful me’s challenge… when I finish Liza Grateful for me challenge I will add it to my original 100 envelope challenge…

I just started today n im excited but im not doing it like this im doing this in my bank from checkings to savings….I made a chart in my notes n I randomly just point to a number n transfer that to my savings cuz I don’t carry cash anymore

What is the time frame for 100 envelope challenge how often should it be done I want to start it but I will pick an envelope and add that amount to my savings account so I end up with interest aswell
@@ulandagovender9446 you can do it however fast or slow you would like! I think originally it was meant to be one a day so you would complete it in 100 days. But you could break it up and do it weekly instead of maybe 2 a week and complete it in about a year. It’s really up to you and your budget how you want to tackle it! Good luck 👍🍀😊
