Curious, the claims are based off observational studies however double blind studies done on pantrazole shows a strong safety profile even in long term use

4th trip to an ER tonight in the last 6 months. PPIs usage is apart of the reason Why.
I can describe it as errosive esophagitis near LES and the PPi burns that area after taking it. Then I get rebound abdominal pressure on my vagus nerves and other nerves. I experience alot of adrenaline; heart rate increase dramatically. I honestly fear I'm gonna have a heart attack.

@@TempmailLost Not a Dr but I am currently trying apple cider vinegar. You can add some cinnamon some ACV some honey a touch of salt (himalayan pink) to some water and drink it twice a day before meals. They say after 30 days it gets rid of the reflux. I was on PPI's for almost 20 years. I do have some problems when I lay down at night. But no longer need PPI's after only a week. I also cut all sugar out of my diet. Sugar creates the wrong kind of acid. On top of that I drink green tea with fresh ginger and honey every day. And last but not least I started taking just a quarter of a teaspoon of kelp an hour before bed. The kelp increases the iodine which I'm guessing will treat any ulcers or help heal any problems down there? All I know is sometimes the kelp makes my stomach do the happy dance. I also bought some slippery elm bark bc I did have other problems from all this aka leaky gut. But I haven't really used it much. It didn't really seem to do much? Hope some of this helps.

If Pantoprazole works for you, then perhaps you should continue taking it.
In order to curb the side effects, try to take Vitamin B-12 & Calcium supplements if necessary (after seeking medical advice from your GI doctor). Don't risk your esophagus getting damaged from puking acid regularly.

Hi, I hope you have found a solution since writing your comment. If not, here is what I did to come off Lansoprazole.
I read somewhere that drinking acidic liquids like orange juice would have a fairly immediate impact on the acid production of your stomach. As well as taking the medication every other day to start with it is what I’ve done. As soon as I felt acid coming up I drank some orange juice or kefir and I was soon able to drop the tablets altogether.
      Good luck

But even while watching what I eat I STILL have horrible reflux if I don’t take it. What’s the other option!?
