This bubblegum pop-ish instrumentals is actually needed to accentuate Jojo’s so-so vocals. Because the music has so much flavour to substitute what her vocals are lacking of.
yeah and i just listened to it but brit’s version SLAYED for me more than jojo’s. If jojo used the same sound from brit’s it would be more awesome. Overall its just the matter of the production
Thats crazy that this sounds soooooo much better. I thought it was Jojo's voice that was the issue 😭😭 I knew I much preferred the production on Brit's version, sounds way better.
Her voice sounds good because of all the autotune and effects put on her voice. But this version gives the impression that it sounds better because it highlights her vocals, while the original instrumental just had too much going on.
I think these versions work better for their voices because jojo's voice works better with the minimalist beat because her voice is too much combined with the original but brit has a softer voice so it works well with jojo's beat
She actually sounds so good here. Brit Smith sounds amazing with both arrangements, JoJo's arrangement isn't bad, it's just the mix of the two. The newer arrangement leaves so much room to focus directly on JoJo's voice which falls flat. This arrangement makes up for that. It's wild
Omg... HOW is this THEE same tune and SO much less cringy???? It's like not EVEN cringy it's a freaking BOP! But when JoJo does it, it's painfully uncomfortable?!?
Oh wow. The whole ‘lore’ of this JoJo/Britt Karma becomes so much more complex every time we delve further. The more I watch more of these fan mixes, the more I actually grow to be a bit sympathetic. Whoever was the music producer behind JoJo’s Karma didn’t do her any good favors. If we got better people to remix the whole thing, can you imagine how much more respectable 2024 Karma could be? They should’ve tried to get in contact with Timbaland, or even an aspiring music producer who has a style and inspiration similar to that. For instance, we need people like YOU. This was a sweet rendition! I knew it that adding little Ad libs and vocal sfx would do the trick! This is how I thought it could have been!
To be fair, that's how this kind of pop sound in the early 2010s was. Heavy autotune. Just listen to Whos that chick by Rihanna or any David Guetta song during that time lmao
Jojo's voice is definitely on the lower side. She really needs songs on that range which help highlight her voice instead of straining her voice or getting it autotuned
for me, I'd say that it is neither Jojo's voice nor the instrumental that bothers me, it's Jojo's clip, like- I understand that she's a ''grown-up'' now but it didn't have to be so unnecessarily suggestive
Honestly, without the bad autotune, different intrumental, and if she changed the story to be her cheating herself and who she wants to be but not being able to go back then this would be a great song
thank u sm 4 making this, i was wondering how jojo sounds with the brit smith instrumental version, & it’s just perfect, idk why i prefer this version, & jojo should have released karma with this instrumental.
I could hear her voice break at the "knife twist" part, but I think she has potential. She has the rasp like demi and miley, but lacking in power and control.
@@cheriefaerieI honestly think she should debut with another song because she has a good vocal tone for another song because this song doesn’t suit her. She could have gotten another song
JoJo Siwa's vocals are weaker and more processed than Brit Smith's. I've heard both songs with instrumentals switched. Clearly Brit is the stronger vocalist with a better inflection and intonation. Brit sounds good on both instrumentation/production while Siwa makes the song sound like karaoke or "KidsBop". Siwa should work on improving her vocals coz her voice sounds like a placeholder for a real singer to sing the song.
I think the song was originally written/produced in 2010, so that’s why this says 2010- it’s using the original instrumentals, which are probably from 2010, though Brit Smith recorded it in 2012.
If you go with minimal instrumentals then you will have to add the flavor with your voice, she isn’t a great vocalist so the song sounded so bland and empty, with the old instrumental it’s good enough to make you not notice her horrible vocals that much
So she doesn’t sound bad here, but I think she sounds kind of flat still? At least compared to Brit, who had more emotion/maturity and control to her voice. Like Jojo actual sounds decently good here but her voice still feels lacking in a sense

@@calm_brosame😭
@@calm_bro There's times she starts screaming, that's why, but parts that aren't the chorus slayed

@@sweetheartmashupsbabethat how she sounds I her cover, it doesn’t seem like there’s any added auto tune.

Plus, it gives that boomerang vibe
I think this instrumental really emphasises how much JoJo's vocals were lacking, mostly because I'm expecting Brit's voice 😅
Brit's already slapped, but both of these alts work so much better?
They just needed each other's instrumentals 🤣
Seriously. It’s wild.
Lol literally
So the problem isn't Jojo, and the problem isn't the new instrumental... it's both together. Either on their own is fine.
THANK YOU😭 people say JoJo is the problem and she's not a good singer
