What I always loved about this debut was how they strung it out. First you see his boots descend, then you see them land, then you see his torso from the ground up, then we see him sheath the sword, then you see the Capsule Corp insignia on his sleeve, THAT'S how you keep up the anticipation and deliver an iconic entrance. Whoever thought to do that, really sold the idea that Trunks was cool and mysterious even before his character was developed.
The problem is they did this with everything back then, I remember the freiza fight had 8 minutes straight of Goku and Frieza staring at each other with no dialogue for an entire episode.

Trunks in the other hand had seen so much pain in his timeline that he does not hesitate to destroy his enemies. I love it when he returns back to his timeline and destroys Android 17, 18 and imperfect cell.
That anticipation for that next episode was real! Me and my bro were hype af when we saw this because we knew who trunks was but never knew he fought and killed frieza
This scene gives me goose bumps eveytime. Everything trunks went through in his timeline, he's completely comfortable against frieza and king cold. I can imagine he got a huge zenkai boost after his battle with the androids.
Out Of nowhere 0:04 🗡 Trunks didn't waste a single moment like goku playing games around. Straight to the point! You can tell he had a really hard life cuz of his mentally never playing games. You must imagine he was only 17 years old when that happened! This is the most badass entrance I have ever seen and then this calm down moment while the cold wind blows which you can tell on the atmosphere and moment going on. This is totally goosebumps until that day for me!!!
