That was a tough one. I would have been dressed like the Gorton's fisherman before I entered that dungeon! They are going to have one hell of a cleaning job to do upstairs.
😆 🤣
Nice to see something different--great job! Go enjoy the holiday now.
To you as well.
Thanks 👍
I think I would be getting that cleaned out every year. Cleaning up that mess would be scary. Thanks Donald 👍
Definitely recommend Ken 👌
Finally a basement you can stand up. Not the kind of "rain" you want to be caught in lol.
You took the words right out my mouth 😂!
🤢🤣
No shortage of grease in that pipe.
Great job as always Donnie 👏.
Happy memorial day to all those who celebrate it.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks again Bosted, Happy Memorial Day 👍
I use to work for a plumbing company. We would tell customers to keep grease from building up in the pipes, run straight hot water in your pipes for a least 5 minutes or more.
these days nobody uses hot water. We have all these building / safety codes to limit water temp to around 120 degrees, and your shower or sink might further limit that to say 105 degrees.
😉👍
Great job Donald, very messy, but, flowing like a frothy river.
Lol, thanks Rodal 😉👍
In a great House with Cellar, the Drain is Block! And the Block have the Drain to seperate, and is leak, Water and...... Run out. Your clear and repair. Good Work. Greeting from Austria 🇦🇹
Thanks 👍
The plumbing setup is a disaster. So many types of pipes and materials. Great job making it flow again.
Handyman special, thanks 👍
That had to be a restaurant or a commercial kitchen upstairs with all that grease. Nice job Donald getting that greasy mess flowing like a river again!
It sure was, with overflowing grease trap, I bet! Thanks again Fire 👍
That was fun to watch Donald, we don't often see you use the jet.
Glad you enjoyed Nigel, I do quite a few water jets, but not all are that interesting to post 😉
Nice to see you jetting today...great work and enjoy your holidays
Same to you, thanks Patrick 👍
It was cool to see you use a jetter hose to get the job done! Excellent upload as always.
Glad you enjoyed 👍
That was nasty stuff coming out of that pipe, I've heard a lot of plumbers say the grease is worse than poop.
Best wishes from Wales.
Grease by far more disgusting, and it smells worse than poop, much stronger smell, that you go home smelling like it no matter what! 🤢😣
Good morning Donald 🙏 🌄 great job that was a tough one never put grease down the drain but you got it flowing like a river have a happy Memorial day 😀 💪 👍
Sure was Deborah, Happy Memorial Day 👍
Great video! Donald is the first time I've seen you use the pressured water since I've been watching your channel. I didn't know you guys did that anyway. Have a great weekend brother
Yes sir, check out my Playlist Jason you'll see more 🤔👍
@@NYDRAINS I will do that
😎
What is this place, a Jiffy Lube? That's some oil slick. Great video and no crawl space for a change.👍👍👍
Lol thanks 👍
Brilliant video Donald. I love your videos, they are so visceral 🤣 I hope you and your family have a wonderful Memorial Day
To you and yours as well Bobbi, Happy Memorial Day 👍
Great job as usual! That was a tough one! Thanks.
Thanks again John 👍
Great video and love the jet. Keep up the great work and the vids.
Glad you enjoy, thanks 😊 🙏
Excellent job Donald!😊
Thanks Suzanne 👍
Thank you for all these videos
Thanks for watching 😉👍
another day of cleaning and you did awesome !
Thanks 👍
Need one of those mini reels like Drain Addict and Penetrator have if you're gonna do more jetting. Awesome job stading in the "rain" and getting it cleared. Being in Texas I will still never understand the trap being inside the building.
trap inside is a common old school approach here in the northeast. They were originally to prevent rodents from crawling up the line (sewer rats) and also, so you didn't need a trap at every sink.
It would be more practical, but I just deal with what I've been dealt 🤷♂️😉👍
Great job! Your the hardest working man in NY!
Thanks for the comment 💪😎👍
A great but messy project happy memorial day 😊😊😊😊😊
Lol, Happy Memorial Day.
Alright!!🙌🏽 _🇺🇸American Jetter_ 🙌🏽 in full Effect, Boyeeee! See ya in the upcoming _Fantastic Four_ movie!😂😂 Good job, Donald.
Lol thanks Garrett 👍
what a mess. Happy Memorial Day enjoy my guy
Happy Memorial Day 👍
Great one Donald!! You know I love Jetting videos. You and The Drain Unblockers/Mersey Rod in England are the only two I watch. Always entertaining lol. Namaste 🙏!! ✌️🏳️🌈✌️
Check out Drain Addict, you won’t be disappointed, Ollie is man!!! 🐀
Thanks again Bryan 👍 🙏 and what Joe said 😉👍
Boy what a mess! Great job 👍😊
Sure was Tim, thanks 👍
What a great job done, with that amount of grease going through them pipes Donald, i think they need to get you back again in 2.5 years time to give them a flush out 👍👍
Oh definitely Taylor, without a doubt. It's a restaurant with poor maintenance of their grease trap and handyman special plumbing 🫢
Great job man 👍
Thanks 👍
👍👍✅ awesome job as always Don.
Thanks Eddie 👍
This was awesome Donald and once again you had it Flowing like a River 🌊☔🗽🍎🐀🌽🔨✌️
Glad you enjoy Kimberly 👍 😉 ✌️
Great job as always. One question, why do you not have a shut off valve for the water jet? To shut it off you have to run all the way back to the truck?. It just seems like it would be much easier on you to have a spool of hose with a shut off at the trap especially in case of a problem. Just wondering 🤔
It would be more practical, I just work with what I've been dealt 🤷♂️
great vid as always. After seeing all the "rain" My thoughts were 1) how couldn't they know they had a problem & stop the water usage and 2) thank god they don't have a finished basement.
Lol thanks again
Glad there were floor drains, but still...mega cleanup pending.
At least most of the grease chunks came out 🤢 its a commercial property, a little Fabulouso, and bleach with a good hosing down will do. Said the customer 😉👍
Bro., bet you went home woth your skin feeling hella soft!! Hoping all is well Donnie, Dirty Jersey out!!
Went home smelling like a bunch of roses Mike 🤢 🤣👍
Good morning Donald,Happy memorial day ✌️✌️
Good morning Erik, Happy Memorial Day.
@NYDRAINS - The Original 49.95 Any Sewer or Drain thank you donald ✌️
✌️
nice variation from the usual auger style pipe cleaning. I didn't even know you had that jetter.
🤔... check out my Playlist, you'll be surprised 😮 lol 😉 👍 thanks.
Great job!!
Thanks Andrew 👍
Woah, what a messy one! Who knew you had a water jetter? You will pop up with a rubber rat next Donald!!
Lol, check out my Playlist Glenn 😉👍
Imagine what these peoples' arteries look like. Have they ever heard of pouring their grease into an old container and disposing of it in the trash? Or wi[ing out their greasy pots and pans with paper towels? Very poor pipe maintenance. Nice seeing the jet Donald. Happy Memorial Day to you friend.
It was a restaurant, Happy Memorial Day A.s👍
That was a nasty one but you handled it quite well.
Thanks 👍
Love your videos 😊
Thanks again 👍
WOW JUST WOW!! That was some huge chunks of gunk!
We never had this problem growing up because my family always stored grease. As do I.
Flowing like a river would that be the East or Hudson? 😅😅😅😅
😆 🤣 this restaurant does some serious cooking 😳
Wow there’s more!!!
😉
New day new drain
😉👍
Oliver would say "yep, she's blocked."
"Chockers full of grease."
Lol 😉 👍
I was expecting a geyser to the ceiling as the cleanout caps came off, but should have known better, since it was dry and not leaking from 300 places at that end. 🤪
Lol
DOUBLE ERUPTION! That was one of the more back up pipes I think you have done so much. I wonder if this is part of a restuarant or something with how much grease and soap was backed up. Well it looks like you'll be back there again in 2-3 years. :) hehe also with how dry it's been and going to be here in the Northeast this Spring/Summer with El Nino coming in....there was some "rain" where you were. :P
😆 🤣
🌺 I don't think all that water mixes too well with those electrical boxes right there close by! 😳 🌺
😬😵😉👍
i love your vid man im a big sub everytime you post my notfiction goes off
Glad you enjoy, thanks for the support 🙏
great job:]
Thanks 👍
Today I poured a bunch of grease into a jar, so it can be put in the trash. I do believe this is the better option for disposal.
Definitely.
I can't believe how many pipes run into that one trap!! How are you Donald?
Handyman special, I'm good Laura 👍 How are you doing 😀
@@NYDRAINS I'm all good thank you Donald! Still waiting for some sort of summer to arrive here in Southeast UK.
We're starting with the warm/hotter spring weather rounding around to summer soon.
What's easier on your back pulling the hose or other machine?
I would have to say the machine, I always feel my back after a water jet job 😣
Um... 😮 an elevated cleanout in close proximity to the breaker box?!?!
😵😉👍
Damn
😉
What type of jetting hose do you use it looks like a hydraulic hose not thermoplastic jetting hose like most jetting hose I have ever bought
We do use a hydraulic company that replaces the hoses.
11:05 Flowin like a river.. Ha..
Lol
Glad that one could be sorted. Obviously they need more work done, and soon.
Definitely 😉👍
Asian cooking! At least the basement wasn't finished. Glad I'm retired from that ! 😅
It was a restaurant but not Asian 😉
Thanks for the info....I smelled asian
@@davidnajmon7528 What does asian smell like?
(Pardon me if asked/answered but) Why are those PVC joints failing like that? I thought the cement fused them? Do they all need to be replaced now?
And yeah, seems like this dude should have you come down twice a year and save on the cleanup.
It's a handyman special, if you noticed the one pvc trap that the water was pouring out from was was dropped in with nothing securing it 🤦♂️
@@NYDRAINS omg
finally, a water jet machine. Moving on up man. seems to not have very good performance, in terms of line pressure. Seems kind of weak.
Check out my Playlist, water jets been there for a while now, as for pressure, they had a handyman special for the plumbing job, and was running the jet on low to be on the safe side as you can tell by leaking pipes everywhere! 👍
just FYI, youtube like the jet a lot more than the snake
To each their own 🤷♂️😉
Wow😳
they should have used a trap with a bottom cleanout port on installations that are exposed like that
😉👍
It`s plugged and they keep using it. Flooding and rotting the floors. Keeps you busies . Floor repairs 10,000.00
😆 😉👍
Customer, now pay the man.
😉👍
🙂👍
😉👍
THAT PLACE NEEDS A GREASE TRAP!!!
Funny, it does! 🤣
Scummy/ grease Cho chooo 😂 ✌🏻😎
😉👍
WHAT A NASTY GREASY JOB.😮😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢
😉👍
😮😮😮😮wow
Obviously, it’s a commercial job but how come they don’t have a grease trap ?
Funny thing, they do have one! But not being maintained properly by the tenants 🤷♂️
@@NYDRAINS I mean nobody even wants to take any preventive maintenance anymore. They should schedule you once a year to get out the line easy Peezy but now they rather wait until it’s clogged to the fucking Hills.
What it boils down to is, that the guy renting the from the landlord wants him to pay for maintenance and the landlord is blaming him cause he has a restaurant that the majority of the grease is coming from 🤦♂️ that's why they're waiting last minute until its raining before anything happens. I talk to both of them to come to some kinda agreement on regular maintenance so it doesn't get so bad! But I'm sure the next time they'll call is when it starts raining again 🌧 😆 🤣
@@NYDRAINS you know what job security baby
Lol definitely 😉👍
I would hate having a hanging sewer line like that. Horrible!
Not just a lot of pressure, but also very poorly joined connections.
Dam is that a residential or a restaurant
Definitely commercial (restaurant)
I can never understand why plumbers don’t make sure the outlet is clear before hitting the blockage
As I noted in the video, I snaked both lines before jetting, which the out line had a problem spot few feet out, where all the chunks of soap scum floated down the line and got stuck, didn't matter which line was jetted first, same outcome would have happened!
Owned!
😮 beat it smells bad ass hell truly respect from 205 pisces black alpha male Birmingham Alabama home of the Civil rights moment
I went home smelling like a bunch of roses 🤢
Ratty would be proud.
😉👍
how come you didn't do downstream first?
I did snake out both lines before jetting, but the out line felt separated at one point, and had a hard time snaking out, so regardless all the soap scum and grease chunks would definitely get stuck again.
@@NYDRAINS cool -- some of those access holes are pretty freaky - from the look of those metal pipes I reckon you'd get a few repeats after a short time
Oh definitely 😉
A whole lot of grease in the pipes and both parts of the trap were gushing a constant stream of POOPOO!
🤢😉👍
yes wipes and cooking fat,, is cooking fat in the drain illegal ? did you ask the customer to flush a bath tub full hot water at one time
Yes I do recommend, in some cases, it won't even make a dent! Illegal 🤔 I dout it! Lol
Good gosh!
😉👍
Do you work on Memorial Day
Yes 😉👍
That was massive! 💩 👍
😉👍
Auw you have a Kawasaki instead of a Honda like Ollie of DA has😃
😉👍
$50 for that???? Idk man.... your work seems to be worth a heck of a lot more than that.
Certain things do cost more 😉
@@NYDRAINS either way brother. Your work is worth more. Keep it up, plumber here from San Antonio TX
👍👍
I can’t believe they have exposed Pex like that
much of that is PVC (white) and ABS (black) not PEX, which is used for domestic water.
🤔
@@rupe53 it’s blue and red, it’s Pex
@@Tendertroll1 ... I don't recall any code that says PEX needs to be covered, although it does need to be supported.
@@rupe53 don’t uv rays hurt the pex? I heard pex manufacturer doesn’t cover any warranty claims if the pipe has been exposed to uv
They need a plumber to repl.ace all their pipping.
Handyman special!
Why did you do the left one first?? Shouldn't you have you have done the outage? Guess you didn't clean up the mess you could have avoided.🤫
Think I might have jetted the outlet first.. but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, what a rubbish design..
Well actually, I tried snaking out both lines before jetting and didn't work, and the line going out was given me a problem and when all those grease chunks went floating down, it piled up and clogged that end 🤷♂️ even if I jetted the out line first, it would have still clogged up 😉👍
@@NYDRAINS yea, I get that.. Still a 'crap' design..
15😂
😉👍
You make more mess than needed
I don't add everything I do in the videos, I tried snaking out both lines before using the water jet and all the chunks of grease just went flowing down the out line and getting stuck, it didn't matter which line was cleared first, plus with all the rain and waterfalls, equals a lot of pressure. It still would have been a messy situation.
