You Aussies have such good fishing good on you for keeping it that way by releasing so many back, great session, great vid as always
Thanks 👍 really appreciate it.
Hi Alan, I love your vids, I've always been a turtle back fan, I wanted to try something similar so I got some Munroe's curtail worms in the Caramel Eclair and motor oil colour, they are awesome, definitely my fave at the moment
Yep the Munroe's range of soft plastics are excellent !! More durable too thats for sure.
Epic session Alan. The fishing's really start to come on now
Thanks !! and yeah finally some decent weather and some really good fishing ahead.
@@fishingmadYep scored a day off on Friday so gonna head back down the Bellarine
Such a unique location & nice little session! I visited Compleat Angler in Ringwood the other week and heard a familiar voice. I looked up and guess who’s playing on the screen…a local legend 😉
Thanks so much !! Yeah that's awesome. A mate of mine regularly shops there and always sends me pics of my ugly mug up on the screen in the shop. Thanks for watching !!!
Love the vids Alan. I went to karkarook yesterday and caught trout for a CZcams video. I used some techniques from your channel and I got onto a few. Thanks mate keep it up
Wow thats amazing. Well done. Send us a link when it goes live would love to see it.
Yep it’s up now. czcams.com/video/DqEKqkc-BXQ/video.htmlsi=PdCyZD0kmMQzu5c0 Thanks so much. I really appreciate it Alan it means a lot.
Done, ill check it out shortly.
Thanks so much!
Need to do a rig setup with weight of line, leader tying, everything
All of the how to stuff is covered in the FishingMad members area. It goes into great step by step detail or all the rigs, and much more. Cheers
love the vid
Thanks,, Enjoy !!
Love the advice 👌 love the shameless hey Berkley look after the boss man … 👍
Great work catching / release the same fish 12 times 😂 just taking the piss …. The big boys will show up in the next few weeks ✌️
LOL Thanks. Cant blame me for a little shameless dig. Berkley soft plastics are sold out in every tackle store near me, and several of the major retailers have personally written to me saying that my vids are responsible and that sales of there soft plastics have gone through the roof. Would be nice to see some appreciation from Berkley for all the free advertising they continually get.
You getting excited for snapper season this year Alan, it looks pretty promising with some big fish being caught already
Yep 100%, the water temp is starting to creep over 14 degrees and already were seeing some amazing catches. I have another week of travel and filming and then we will be staying local and going hard on the snapper but early signs look amazing.
Great vid, just give that drag a little more tension👌🏼
There's few bits of gear I regret selling. That Tarantula is one of them 😂 good to see it getting some solid use mate!
LOL 100%. I didn't even like the rod that much at first, but holy crap I've caught a lot of fish with it. Plus several monster size yellas this weekend with it
Few boilermakers I know in that area use the z goat or Berkeley power nymph orange yellow in ins.
Yeah I've been using the baby goat lately and its pretty good. The reddies love em to that i know for sure
@@fishingmad check out NZ NEW SNAPPER JIGS GOOD AT NIGHT LIGHT IN HEADSOON AS IT HITS WATER LIGHT POPS ON WHEN OUT TURNS OFF.
Absouletly Awesome video. Question! Is the fishing just as good from the end of the jety land based and casting eiher in between the poles or off side of the poles?
Thanks, yes the fishing can be very good there land based to. Its just difficult to land a fish of the pier when casting into the poles or next to them. Just the height and position makes it quite arkward. But you also have Webb dock about 200 meters down which can also be very good
Hey mate love the videos been going to karkarook a fair bit and using your techniques and they have worked me and my friend have got 6 trout in the last 2 trips which is better then we have ever done
Please make some more trout fishing videos
Thats awesome, so glad to hear the content is helping you guys catch plenty too. The last 2 vids before this one was for trout and were off to Eildon shortly so should have plenty of trout stuff covered.
@@fishingmad that’s good to hear Ill definelty have to watch those
If you could go to my channel and you can see the trout I caught using your technique
Done, Will do !!
@@fishingmad thanks
Great vid Alan, I’ve got 2 packs of turtle backs. The pumpkin colour in the smaller size and the camo in the 7 inch. Do you think they are as effective as the nuc chicken?
100% they are. I caught many snapper with the camo and pumpkinseed colours. there also great for flathead and whiting and others
Another great video Allan, just wondering if you can put a tinny in there? Thanks
Yep 100% you can launch from the warmies, altona or st kilda ramps and head over
AL have u tried DRONE fishing i do with my phantom 4 love it
Funny you should say that Splash Drone wrote to me a few days asking if I was interesting in working on a project with them. Its something I've wanted to do for ages. So not yet but 100% not to far away and great time of year to get stuck into it. I've been scouring maps online looking for good spots to target some big sharks, snapper and mulloway when we start
Hey Alan I’ve been loving ur work on talking fishing just wanted to know what editing software you use because I’m thinking about starting a fishing utube channel.
Awesome, glad you have been tuning into the radio broadcast. Looks like ill be a regular now. With the vids I use a combination of things, but corel vid studio is prob the easiest to learn and use
Thanks
Have you tried the "Muss" in there Alan?
Not yet, 100% my next trip will be trying the Muss and the new Crush City Imposters in there for sure.
By Any chance could you tell me what size Gomexus double handle you use for you Vanford 2500? Because I'm thinking of getting one but i don't know if i should but the 98mm or 82mm.
I just sold my Squid outfit that had the Gomexus handle on it so I cant remember for certain or measure for you. I do think it was the smaller 82mm. Maybe message Gomexus for good measure before buying just incase.
Hi Alan. I'm brand new to kayak fishing and was wondering if you have a kayak meet up and fish in the members area? As ideally i would like to go kayak fishing with some company at least until i get some confidence up
Great to hear your getting into kayak fishing. Yeah in the FishingMad members area we have a forum in there is a section ( member meetups ) where we encourage members to make contact, share, engage and catch up with other local kayakers. I have caught up with many members over the last year or two. I do my best to catch-up with members when i can Just can be hard with all the travel and filming it does become a bit more challenging, but our members forum is a great area to start this.
Sounds great , i'm keen as thanks@@fishingmad
Another great video! What combo would you recommend for bait fishing for snapper/gummies in a kayak?
It does depend on where your fishing if a spot like PPB non tidal something like a 4-7kg or 5-10kg rod with a 5000, 6000 or 8000 size reel. Again it really depends on the system to how strong the currents are and how big the fish get. We have some gear guides in our members area which covers this in great deal for every species. Hope that helps.
Thursday just gone?
🙋♂️
God bless them who watching this video and I have shared a video catching fish by easy way..
Hi Alan,
How do I contact you in a more private format?
Thanks
Mark
I can always be emailed directly, or jump on the fishingmad website and send us an email that way. Cheers
tighten up your drag if you wanna stay away from the poles mate.. just saying
Adds a bit more fun to it skull dragging fish is boring
Did you loose some weight Alan,?
