I’m Russian, too, but I majored in linguistics, so I understand what you’re both saying regarding kyettle and khow. I know it’s hard to believe for you, but you are wrong. For example, Russians have a different h-like sound in their language, x, so they pronounce the h in English differently, and the best way for English speakers to conceptualize of the sound without learning the International Phonetic Alphabet is by combining a k with an h, but when he said it, he barely pronounced the h at all, so it sounded like cow. It’s not actually 2 sounds, one followed by the other; it’s just one sound, and this guy is not very good at producing it because, instead of having a type of between k and h, he just follows the k with the h.

I think it is difficult for a English speaker, to learn Russian. You make yourself understood, Alex.

I need to learn Russian... I NEEED ._. ❤ PS. : I prefer the Russian thick accent in you, but the "proper" English accent is fine too, you will be understood in both ways (I shouldn't be saying that because my mother language is Spanish...). Love ya, bro

The hard sound of the Russian letter «х» can sounds like «k» to those who aren't used to it, the word «хорошо» sound like «kharasho», but the not that hard as this "k-how" example lol

❤ Cool, I'm starting to learn the Russian language, I hope to be successful and be able to speak enough to go on a tourist trip to Russia and Belarus ❤

You don’t need to learn the language if you wanna go like a tourist, just money 😄

@@alexliusik6896 That's true, but I don't just want to see buildings and landscapes, I want to be able to build bonds, friendships and maybe love 😊, money is important, but it's superficial, the important thing is the value you give to people, I'm interested in the people of Eastern Europe, like the Slavs, so learning the language and getting to know the culture is important, people only want to learn something to make money and they're right, because you can't live like a hippie and I'm interested in living vulgarly in expensive hotels and places made to make you feel superior to others, but I also want to take advantage of my time to invest in good relationships with people that I think have some value, like the Slavic people, obviously I know that every place has problems and as a Westerner I understand the stereotypes that people make of Eastern Europe, I know that some have real ones, like socioeconomic problems, but I evaluate this without the tone of mockery and contempt that these jokes want to convey, I have faith and at the same time a strong intuition that tells me this is the right path to follow. ❤

The sound of R in Russian is similar to the sound of R in Spanish. As a Brazilian, I speak Portuguese and the sound of our R (at least in Brazilian Portuguese) has several sounds depending on the word 😎😂

Dutch R is the same, at least in most of the Netherlands (not in the south and not in Belgium either).

It might be better to attempt learning the accent from you.
Some actors can be taught accents for roles.
Dick Van Dyke’s accent in Mary Poppins, is commonly said to be bad.
Some actors sound the same, doesn’t matter what movie they are in.
We have enough movies, where Russians are the bad guys. You could do a ranking, how well the non-natives speak russian.

9:50 I wonder if the “advice” to slow down is because people who are picking this up for the first time can’t implement it all quickly... (but if that’s the case, let’s not try to pass that off as a Russian thing)

В слове " How" буква Н мягкая, не шипящая как в русском. Поэтому это выдает акцент.

its a little cringe how the guy teaching the accent doesnt even know it himself, only the dumb and flawed version
