Yeah, not too bad at all, thankyou. I do/would like to hear the detector more, but I know it drives some people nuts... Like you say, if you have to hear it all day long, so should we. :)
Now l use headphones all the time and has cut most of the detector noise from my vid,s, you hear the faint signals better with the headphones, there the ones l like because it indicates depth, glad you enjoyed, cheers NM.

You must be digging in old ancient river bends...are these old riverbed mapped out some where ar do you just do an onsite survey with maps to locate these beds....? I know this is an older video but thought to ask....maybe I can locate somewhere I live by using same search parameters. Good vid thanks
By the way...because of silt and flat land here in the Red River basin. These old river paths are 10-20 meters deep...not practical..
Gidday Carl, most of the gold comes from Quartz and lronstone reefs scattered throughout the area, most where found in the early 1900,s by the first miners, there are many old shafts also as they chased it down, fortunately they left some scattered pieces for me, so its the old records l do my research on, glad you enjoyed the vid, cheers NM.
Great job Russell...always enjoy watching your adventures! Just wondering why you have changed to headphones over the last season? I found it beneficial for me when you used the speaker.When you picked up targets, it was just like being there for us at home! Did the speaker make you miss faint targets?
Thanks Jarrod, glad you enjoy the vid,s, the speakers kept playing up and l was forever buying new ones so l was forced one trip to use the headphones which l found were more sensitive to those faint signals and l never went back, it is also more covert in the bush and allows me a better chance of filming animals, l am determined to get an Eagle on tape, l still cant get anywhere near one or the wild Brumbies, l will keep your comment in mind see what l can do, thanks again for watching and merry Christmas, cheers NM.

40e,s, pending leases and vcl,s, as long as its legal l will have a look around, but the 40e,s are the go, cheers NM.

Can anyone tell me why they are not deep at all ? Gold is heavy right ? And not much rain or rivers to wash it away right ? Yet ... there not deep at all So im going to guse that the place wear you are was once ocean floor ? thanks for shareing
Is the sdc worth taking over to wa or is it better just to take bigger coils
For sure, its a killer so l have heard for the smaller gold and it wont miss bigger shallow targets either, cheers NM.
The SDC would have screamed if it had gone over that one ouncer, you would do well, cheers NM.
The start of your 2017 season looks promising.. What kind of handle do you have on the detector?
The handle l bought through Clermont Detectors in QLD, a guy was selling them through their shop, not sure if he still makes them but worth a shot, cheers NM.
Was this found on virgin ground or do you only prospect places that have been prospected before?
That was found on undug ground but probably detected before, without thorough gridding targets will be missed, l am always looking for true virgin ground, a good example was in 2013 where l found the gold laying on the surface, while out detecting you can easily cover ground that has been detected before but still classed as virgin because it has never been mined, cheers NM.

great to see ya back, quick question are you on a lease or just public ground?
It varies but mainly pending leases and if l want to detect a live lease l get a 40e permit which gives me about 11 weeks of hunting, the 40e,s only cover exploration leases though, live "p" and "m" leases are off bounds unless permission is granted by the lease holder, cheers NM.
Is this just on crown land or on a private lease would love to go fossicking the fields

That was a beauty, l walked out of the bush into a huge clearing and took the perfect path as l crossed it, must of had my name on it and after zero signals in hours l would have put money on it being a bullet, glad you enjoyed and hope you get a kick out of part 2, cheers NM.

@@dingydateYeah that would be a tough ask, l kinda don't blame her either especially when you hear the pick make impact, you can always use a lead sinker, bury it at various depths in the side of an embankment so you are testing over undug ground, you can just use a screwdriver and rod and leave the nugget in a bag tied with string for easy extraction, happy swinging, NM.

yeah, l kept breaking the plastic ones so l picked this one up thru the detector shop in Cleremont QLD, a fair time ago but you might be lucky, cheers NM.

You could show the design to a wood carver and probably get one made if you cant get one thru Cleremont Detectors anymore, l wish now l had bought 2, cheers NM.

Thanks, its my old faithful 4500 with no mods, l think the settings are what help me find those deep quiet targets, l uploaded a settings video if you want to try them, cheers NM. ps you just caught me as l was about to go back offline for 3 weeks, no ceppy out there.

lts a 17 x 11, those settings run my detector real quiet so as to pick up them faint signals, hope they work just as well for you, good luck and cheers NM.

Mate l would probably say a GPZ 7000 in this day and age for your best chances, a GPX 5000 would be my second choice, the 5 would be heaps cheaper, glad you enjoyed mate, cheers NM.

lt will never be all gone, look at those 2 monsters found last week, 21 ounces and 10 ounces from the same spot along with plenty more smaller nugs, you just have to keep searching, cheers NM.

Do you need a hat with one in the screen mesh that hangs down off of it to protect you from the flies they can be very annoying when you’re trying to find gold .
They can, it really interferes with concentration, l do wear a flynet when they get thick in the warmer months, cheers mate, NM.

hey mate, we have done a fair bit of detecting over the years in comfort and now we are putting our Commander up for
