    This video is from a new area further north where the soil was extremely red due to a high iron content, it held some nice gold nuggets, hope you enjoy.

    This is becoming my favorite gold channel. I love the content with the wildlife and how he takes his time looking for gold. He truly makes it a relaxing watch. How many people would really take the time to film their adventure with the amount of gold this fella is finding? He's not greedy and I like that.

    Plan on my wife and I coming over to WA next year (2019 - Winter). I plan on taking 6 weeks Long Service leave and 1 week of the 2 week school holidays, one week to get there and one week to get back should give us a good 4 to 5 weeks of detecting. I love watching you in these videos and the work you go to to get the gold. I know it's not easy, but I'd love to try, just finding the right place to start is the big issue. The whole trip will more than likely be learning more than finding gold.

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  Před 6 lety

      Gidday Stuart, everything seems daunting first time around but soon becomes the norm, you might find Tengraph very helpful as it will show you where you can go detecting, WA is full of gold bearing areas and even though its getting harder to find people are still finding gold, hope this helps get you started, cheers NM.

Minelab claims the GPZ detects up to 40% deeper than the GPX series. I know the GPZ has a hefty price tag $10,000 Canadian near par with the Aussie dollar. Cheers!

      @@oliviazhang4675 Gidday, first you will need a miners right, $25 from the dept of mines, when you visit their site you can also download a citrix receiver(free) so you can access their Tengraph system which will show you where you can go prospecting legally, there are prospecting supply stores in Kalgoorlie and probably one closer to Perth but l am not sure, you will need a GPS device for your own safety because it is easy to get lost in the bush going prospecting during summer will be extremely hot so plenty of water and a reliable vehicle, you could also look online for a used detector and l would be happy to advise you on type of detector necessary for WA fields, this will get you started and you can contact me anytime for more help, all the best and feel free to contact me anytime, cheers NM.

      Hi Olivia, there are several prospecting stores around Perth, REEDS and THE PROSPECTORS PATCH, you can google for their address, maybe you could hire a detector first before you buy one, these shops should hire or you can hire from Kalgoorlie which is closer to the goldfields, ring them first to make sure one is available, l am here to help you find gold so keep those questions coming, cheers NM.

      Like l have always said its patience, perseverence and persistence, okay there is a lot of luck in it as well but the more you try the better the odds get, you cant rule out any ground because its just one huge gold field containing patches and scattered targets so its time spent finding them and time is what you need, my best tip would be when you hit a faint target spend the time tuning your detector in on it, that will make future targets easier to detect and stay positive, enjoy the experience because the gold is just a bonus, make sure you check out UDO and BILL their channel is packed with great info as well, cheers for now and thanks for watching, NM.

      I was going to ask you that question a while back but i also have seen better results using the GPX 5000 over the GPZ 7000 and its half the price. I'm heading over around March, April for a few weeks to a month with a GPX 5000 and me mum on my old x-terra 705 {does the job up to about a foot deep but she will most likely be taking photos like you do lol} anyway would you suggest just going the crown / public land path or trying to get permission to detect on a lease before heading over. I'm from SA, so if you know what we have here you know i am shooting in the dark when it comes to the size of the the goldfields WA has and last thing i want to do is make camp on a grumpy land owners property lol.

    • @TheNuggetMagnet
      @TheNuggetMagnet  Před 6 lety

      I would subscribe to "UDO and BILL" easy to find online and full of tutorials, apply for a 40e permit, they cost $25 for about 11 weeks of detecting on any Exploration lease, there is a tutorial on their website and do some research first on likely areas, the rest is persistence and luck, most targets are in that first foot l find, upload a citrix reciever and get onto Tengraph for all available areas that you can legally detect, you have plenty of time before next season and feel free to ask advice, good luck, cheers NM.
