The lyrics is about his life being summed. His past had been very though and sad for him, which is referred as the demons. The winning interview he told how he felt, it was very touching and emotional. In the song he sings how he feel like he doesn't deserve his own girlfriend, how she's way better and deserving someone else. Seems like you didn't really search the lyrics correcty.
The staging was a huge problem. It made the song seem so much less polished. With staging like that it's really hard to take the song seriously :/ I hope it has better staging in Rotterdam

@@ReiPele.Thanks for bringing in more meaning of the song. I re-read the lyrics and it's really him mostly talking about this girl he cannot reach. It's nice to know that there's more meaning behind it but I gotta say I agree with @Ora Solomons. Unfortunately, this deeper meaning is not visible in his staging at all. To my mind, it looks like a MTV rapper boy who tries to show off his gold and the whole budget was used for the staging, rather than the song. I'm feeling sorry for him having a tough past. But for me the song's quality couldn't be saved by more meaning. This song still sounds super generic, bland and include repetitive lyrics. And that's why I rated this song so badly.

Brave to not be like most other reactors and praise every song as a new masterpiece, but instead be really critical!
You'll get a lot of downvotes for that, cause apparently the ESC community can't be mature enough to let someone else have a different opinion, but... yea, just makes me respect you more as a content creator.

Me, a Norwegian who voted for KEiiNO: Well that hurt a lot...
(Listen @ those that are gonna be mean because others and I were not happy with the results; TIX's song wasn't bad (better in Norwegian though), but KEiiNO's song was freaking incredible and it could've won ESC...)
I know TIX's song about something powerful (mental health) but the message gets lost in the staging. I think with a better staging that puts the song and the message in the front seat, we might have a shot at doing at least somewhat well.
But I cry everytime I hear this song. For good reasons 🥺 Since I went through complicated “relationship”, feeling that I dont deserve him, thinking we should not continue in it (“And it wouldnt be fair, if I keep you down here”), feeling not being even good enough or worthy of his time (“And Im still not sure what you’ve ever saw in me”)... fighting my heart and my brain and thinking he’s way too good for me (“She’s so far out of this world, no way I could ever be with her”).
This songs just hits the strings for me. And I think many people will find themselves in it. 🤷🏼♀️ I dont think it’s an utter flop. I think it can be surprising entry.
And the staging fits the song so well. Him holding the demons on chains and later in a performance they break the chains, letting him go, basically... And I dont understand how people dont see the connection between the song and a performance. 🤷🏼♀️ each to their own tho. I really love it. He won my heart, I voted for him and I’ll keep him on my 1st place without a guilt

True we shouldn’t hate on TIX just, because he beat Keiino or, because his song doesn’t click with some of us including me.
It isn’t his fault that he won his fans who don’t care about Eurovision voted for him.
Blame the MGP for only having Juries nominating acts for the final instead of bringing balance to the votes or Blame the fans that aren’t interested in Eurovision and only wanted their favourite artists to win but don’t send TIX death threats or blame him for something that isn’t his fault.
So as for the song itself it has a great meaning and it’s personal and I respect it for that but the actual Song itself isn’t anything special. I do hope that he decides to go with the Norwegian version though.

Es ist cool, wenn man tiefer in die Bedeutung eines Songs reinschnuppert und dieser auch vielleicht mehr zu erzählen hat als man denkt. Aber ein super schlecht klingender Song kann eben nicht nur durch "Meaning & Lyrics" gerettet werden, finde ich.

Yes, the song lyrics are sadly very basic but I know a lot of people that will love this song, I think it will be the next "If I Were Sorry", something most ESC fans hate but a large number of viewers will love, so don't rule this out getting a top 5 public vote in May. The staging in its current state will kill it with the Jury vote, but if they can make it look more classy in May, this could do well. As for keiino, they need to find a new person to work on their staging, their staging only worked in 2019 due to the big group of fans in the back, had they gone to ESC singing to an empty room in 2021 it could have flopped in the 10-20th place. For me the MGP staging they had just did nothing for me but in my head I can think of so many cool ideas that could have lead to this epic moment that would have made me want to keep watching over and over. For now I do love their song but I know I won't go back to watch their MGP performance. As for TIX has staging is bad but it does tell the story of the song at least. In 2021 the lack of a live studio audience means staging will be more important than ever. Song aside this video was 12 points as always. Hope the mamas can save the 2021 NF's for you :)
I liked most of the songs tix was my favourite, it really got me and stucked inside my head. I prefer norwegian version much more. I think he can a) flop hard or b) reach top 10

Tbh. didn't think any of the entries would have the potential to win the ESC, but the show in sum was excellent.
The story behind the gold diceis that music reviewer give him dice roll 1. The reviewer said many negative words about him and said this song will not win the norwegian final. I'll eat the Tix headband, on a bed of broken glass from his glasses, if he wins the MGP final.

Unfortunately yes :( I try to count in as many votes as possible but Norway's winner got announced pretty late
and I recorded the reaction shortly after the show, so there was not enough time to count in all votes, sorry!
