Carrie, here's a little update for you on Buzz's development with his signing. I'm gutted that he didn't play along much, BUT I know you'll have lots of fun with this when we get back!
For those who feel like they've no idea what's going on in these 'Dear...' videos - Carrie is my sister in law (Tom's sister) and we post videos to each other on CZcams - it's a way to keep each other informed on our going ons. Carrie posts on Wednesdays (without fail), I post on Fridays (I'm late this week) and Tom is meant to post on Sundays (he does his best).

I just wanted to say thank you so much for taking time to watch my videos - and thank you for all the comments, likes and subscriptions. I really do read them all, even if I don't manage to reply. It's brilliant to know we have a supportive bunch of great folk behind us, and makes creating videos a fun thing to do. It's never a chore. Sorry they aren't more frequent - damn those books I need to write. ;-)

Seems like I comment it on every video, but Buzz is precious! So cool to see that you and Tom do signs with him! I took ASL in high school and will definitely teach my babies to sign when the time comes for me to have kids. It's so awesome that they can communicate through signs before learning to speak and I'm sure it makes things loads easier on you as a mom! Safe travels home!! xoxo

I love baby signing - so useful for them to be able to communicate some of what they want pre-speech! If I ever become and aunt or a mum I'll try to make sure the baby learns that.

I have never heard of baby sign classes before. I wish I had known about them my daughter will be two in April and can only say a couple of words and can get very angry when I don't know what she wants. We have some of our own signs but luckily she started walking at 11 months so if she wanted juice she just brought me her cup and grunts! Buzz is such a cutie love watching your videos :).

This is interesting for me, because, being Canadian, I've use ASL sign for signing with children in childcare, and for use with my own little girl. The signs are different. For example, "more" is pinching your fingers and thumb together, like when you do duck), on both hands and then tapping the tips of your fingers together twice. All done is holding your hands palms up and rotating your wrists a couple of time(hard to explain! lol).It's just really interesting to see the differences! i think baby sign is awesome and so clever. Nice work! He looks like fun, that Buzz! Buzz should get his own meet and greet with all the viewers with children, lol, it would be a fun playdate! ha ha! Have a good one!
