WOW - WHAT A COMEBACK!!! Slick, precise, tons of energy, terrific musicality... the most delighting performance of the night for me! Straight into the dancing, no fluffing about, technically not really far from flawlessness, such an impressive footwork, incredible partnership with Amy, radiating positivity, lovely knee retraction, it was sharp, it had the slipping of the standing foot, beautiful placement of the arms. I would have given him a 10 if he had pointed his toes and had hip rotation during the chasses - but otherwise it was purely magnificent! It was solely about the dancing, no distracting costumes or unnecessary moves, a big celebration of a high level of proper footwork, joyful emotions. Tom should be soooo proud of himself! Hope to see this dance again in the finals. My score: an 8!

Well someone suits the Jive! The toes were pointed all the way through! His energy was infectious, he got his kicks down in the ground and it felt very agile and clean. It was sharp and precise, lovely finesse in the arms and he kept up with Amy really well. The acting was on the money and the retraction was gorgeous. This is so much better than the Cha Cha, its so nice to have him back. All the chasses on point too. *9/10* really liked this â€
My favourite routine of Tom and Amy, love a bit of Back to the Future even this cool song. If it was me Iâd give it a 9 or 10.

Tom Fletcher welcome back baby!!! And what a return it was! I know this dance was special for Tom because of the link to his band, and he definitely did it justice. The kicks and flicks were great, and I am still loving his and Amyâs partnership (an underrated one I think). Plus I loved the theming how it was just like the film, and Amy was stunning in her dress đ

I saw this performance last night and I was amazed. Tom was very very impressive. It's so nice to see him and Amy out of Isolation, I've missed them. Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry is one of my favourite songs, it's so cool.
This was excellent! Can't believe they only started rehearsing properly on Wednesday and Tom started learning the dance via zoom

Very fun and his kicks are very good. Characterisation is good and energy is perfect. Hips could be a little better but well done Tom plus very good to say he had a week off.

can't be easy when a fellow band member did really well in a previous series, I remember when Max George (Jay McGuiness) and Lee Ryan (Simon Webbe) did their years, hope Tom fairs better than them. This jive was a delight!

As someone who follows the band and has for years, Harry has been jokingly comparing his scores to Tomâs each week (especially if Harry got higher) and itâs just all good fun to them! They donât actually care how the other does, theyâre best friends and support eachother completely, it doesnât matter what happens, but i do hope Tom wins too, thatâll be 3 tv show wins for the band members

Had a feeling this dance would suit him. What a comeback! Amazing timing throughout and I loved how the character came through in all his moves. They reallly brought the scene to life in this dance. It's a shame that some of the kicks and flicks weren't quite crisp enough as mostly the footwork was very good. The guitar and the shoes he was wearing can't have helped with that. He also lost his posture a tiny bit on one occasion but I think that was due to the enthusiasm and he quickly corrected it. Thoroughly enjoyed this dance! He's got serious potential

It's good to have this pair back. Not so good to have awkward guitar dancing back. Someone does it every year and it rarely goes well. Once guitar was gone, this was actually pretty good. Great energy and not bad technique wise either. 7

WELCOME BACK TOM AND AMY!!! Definitely an improvement from week one!!! The kicks and flicks were good (actually was on his toes and not on his heels, however I feel some flcks could have been sharper when in hold with Amy). However, the energy was there by bucketloads. I honestly Amy and Tom came back with fire and I loved it!!!! Well done!!!

Oh, I just now got it. They had the fella from a band called McFly dance to a song played by a guy called McFly.
Tom named the band after Marty McFly because, massive nerd that he is, itâs his favourite film
None of the other members had seen it, and he watched it with Danny Jones after pitching the name and Danny saw D. Jones on a truck in a scene from the movie and just leapt up and yelled âMCFLYâS THE NAMEâ
Tom wanted to do this with his whole heart, it wasnât an attempt to be funny, it was Tom getting to dance as a character from his favourite movie who inspired the name for his band and let him live his dreams âš
He sat out due to covid and comes back with a bang
I have to say this brought back great memories of 1985 with Michael Jackson and Jennifer. Jennifer putting Mike on a pedestal and wondering what the weather is like? The fading away of his brother on the photo unless he can get Lorraine and his dad to be good and fall in love again. It reminded me of happy years dancing with Madonna. Great storytelling. I think this is a great Dance for week 3 and the choreography is exceptional, he has sharp kicks and flicks and impeccable timing. The Guitar just made it awkward

So it wasn't spectacular, but they missed a week of practice. They had to do Zoom practices. I can forgive that standard of their dance. They have done well considering their circumstances.
Man, his kicks! Full of energy! Did the flicks very properly. Very fast and and precise. He isn't the best, but he is a lot less stiff than before. He totally captured the era of the movie with the dance. Good atmosphere. He's having a lot of fun! Coming back with a bang!

This is the one I voted for tonight, but I had two major problems with it: 1) get rid of that guitar!; 2) Amy made a mistake at 1:30. It was worth 8 for me.

Itâs a replica of Marty Mcflys from the movie so probably a little bit of caution/safety with it

I think they were under marked could have been all 9s was as good as AJs and was a proper old style Jive which I love

Genuine question - why was Tom allowed to come back this year after testing positive and Katya and Nicola weren't last year?
The rules about isolation were different last year. They had to isolate for 14 days so they'd have missed two shows whereas Tom and Amy only had to isolate 10 days and they were lucky that the first day of isolation was a Sunday so they only missed one show (if it had been later in the week they probably would've had to withdraw as well)
Last year it was a 14 day isolation, meaning they would have missed two weeks. This time it was a 10 day meaning obviously they missed a week but they still had 3-4 days to practice for week 3
