- Okay, this week has been a horrid one as there's been a lot of puke in our house... Yeah, I caught Buzz's sick bug. Booooo! But I'm chuffed that I haven't failed my mission to make this video! Hurrah! Here's this week's 'Dear...' video - directed at Tom (...and Carrie).

Get well soon Gi! I once had a very bad case of food poisoning that still affects the food I can or cannot eat. If the food is "dirty", I will have the runs. I found out the hard way that I can't eat McDonald breakfast or if I go to other countries, I can only eat food I know that have been prepared with good hygiene. Mum cooked me clams the other day, oh the pain the next day.

Awe, poor Gi, been so sick. =-( Bless Tom's heart, he was trying, just not putting a lot of thought in in perhaps... Some nice hot peppermint tea would be good. Hope you are better Gi, we all love you!
Where I live it's all about ginger ale when you're sick. Specifically a local brand that's made with real ginger. Some say it should be flat or heated up. I'd pour a glass and leave it next to me for an hour before touching it. Also I don't know if they have an equivalent in the UK but there are ice pops in the US that are made with electrolytes to help kids recover from the dehydration that comes from being sick. Stays down better than anything solid or thick because it's just flavored ice. And you get to chew a little.

In palmistry, the little finger represents "communication" (amongst other things), so it would make sense that when you're talking it may stand out as you're trying to communicate :)

Gi, I hope that you feel better! I've also heard that salty foods help sometimes with trying to settle an upset tummy, but I'm not totally sure. Hope that you all feel better soon!! :]

Get better soon Gi! My boyfriend has also been puking his guts up, so thank you for your handy tips. He's not very responsive to anything I ask or say so I shall leave him be and just make sure I'm there when he needs me and provide water and hugs when he's up to it :)

When it comes to how to do the Dear Tom/Carrie/ Gi videos could both you, Gi, and Tom always do Dear Carrie and Carrie can then switch week to week between Dear Tom and Dear Gi. That way Tom and Gi won't have to do them to each other and run out of things to say.

Thanks for the heads up that mcbusted are on strictly :) Hope you feel better soon, also I find that sugar in hot water or on hot milk and sugar really helps when nothing is staying down.... saved me when I had altitude sickness when skiing :) x

People say sprite helps settle a stomach, I think it does. I don't eat at all when I have stomach bugs, and once I've stopped feeling sick I leave it at least a day since I last threw up before I eat again but what I DO do is mix drinks so I'll have a mixture of orange squash, black current squash, orange juice and lemonade or stuff like that. It's really tasty and doesn't make me throw up which is nice.

I'm sure someone has probably already said this but ice cream can help you when you're sick. If you feel like you're going to be sick eat ice cream. It cools and coats your throat so that when you are actually sick the vomit doesnt burn your throat as much.

I think this would be the best solution since you know they are three, no matter what way you try to put it, it will always come back to the same result. Haha!

I was wondering as well how you are finding being vegetarian, and what your reasons were? I've cut out meat in the last month, so I'm beginning! x
I love the Dear... series but maybe this kind of schedule would be a better option:
You and Tom could do Dear Carrie videos together, alternating between two channels, so first week on Tom's channel the next one on yours and so on. And then Carrie could answer to the both of you. This way there would still be two videos each week and it would be easier for all of you as well. This was just an idea that came to my mind. Get well soon!
You could make the videos so that Carrie does a dear g&t and you and tom do a joint dear Carrie and alternate what channel you post it onto. BUT if either you or tom is away or ill.... then the other person does an individual video to post on their chennel. Do you get my thinking?! xx
Ginger biscuits, ginger beer etc.. My mum swears by ginger. That's how she dealt with morning sickness. I also swear by it a bit but also there are anti-emetic tablets. I have a phobia so I have them. Then again I think if you have a bug it wants to get the stuff out of your system so maybe suppressing things isn't that good an idea..
Contrary to popular belief I don't think ice cream is that horrible a thing to consume whilst sick, because unlike real solid food, ice cream tastes largely the same coming up as it does going down. So really what it lacks in nutrition it makes up for in convenience if you think about it.
That's a bit disgusting...
