fun drinking game - take a shot every time he says "the falcon" :)
"With the falcon"
"Compared to the falcon"
"You know, the falcon ____"
F A L C O N
did you mention the falcon lol
I mean, the Mustang and Falcon of this era are essentially the same car under the skin, so it does make sense to compare them
Gone in 60 seconds
@@michaelramsey82 Datsun Z240 sent them both to the crusher!
Don't forget the falcon
Early Mustangs are like first girlfriends.
Neither one of you knew exactly what was going to happen but it was a lot of fun finding out.
wing windows need to come back
Sleepy .Time smoker windows my dude.
I don't smoke i just remember how nice the direct blast of air they channeled was. My 86 Toyota truck was the last car i remember owning that had them.
Sleepy .Time
V A P E W I N D O W S
Sleepy .Time ~ i had those in my 1987 mk1 mitsubishi shogun.
My 92 f150 had them. they are fantastic when you dont have ac
I just want to say that I really like the way you paint a picture with your reviews. As someone who has a very hard time focusing, the way you present it is imaginative and entertaining, and has honestly gotten me more into cars! Keep up the good work
Almost no plastic on the interior. Stunning
Got to be the most beautiful car ever made. This is my halo car right here.
MylesHSG I am sorry.
Ehhh... it's ok
It's alright I guess
I got one but it isn’t my dream car
The original Mustang was based on the Falcon Chassis, it was ok to relate to it
Now drive my shitty car, bring a battery
Mr. Regular: "falcon falcon falcon falcon"
Guy: "yeah. Okay. Okay. Swap? Okay"
The steering wheel has 3 ft of play
That's common on the early Mustangs.
That's a "feature" on the old American cars :D
+Wet Lettuce not really, only ford
No, the Plymouths I've driven are that way too. It's the power steering of the day. Big steering wheels with lots of play and no feedback. I'm getting a 68 Barracuda through family that is that way too.
RCR talks more about it in his review of the 440 Dodge Coronet.
The previous owner of my Mustang had added a large size tach right next to the AC.
My Mustang was the 289 and it surprised me that even at highway speeds, if I floored it, it would spin the back wheels.
he compares everything to his falcon 😑
That's how car guys relate to anything different. If not his, "his buddy has one."
Capt Trdl I thought I was the only one that was annoyed by it lol
Ninja Master yea lol
You are right, I do. I don't have children, so VF took the place of a kid for a "father" to constantly talk about. I will make a real effort to stop mentioning the Falcon.
RegularCars big fan but we have heard about the falcon like every vid but keep up the good work
Wow, so many Mustang memories. I spend a lot of time behind that dash, although I never got to drive it because I was 6 years old. Mom had a 1965 plain jane 6 cylinder and I remember sitting in the gas lines during the oil crisis of 1972. My grandfather, who was a WWII fighter pilot bought my grandmother a 67 fastback GT390, which she drove like a grandma, angering the local youth because they mutually agreed it was such a waste (although my grandfather would take it out on the Mass Turnpike late at night and drive it like a bat out of hell, or so the story goes). She didn't have it very long and a week after he sold the car one of those youths wrapped it around a tree :( My dad (parents were divorced) had a 1972 Mach I, which I remember he drove up the Mt. Washington auto road only to have the thing overheat like crazy. I think he had that for a couple of years but alas it made a poor daily driver and he traded it in on (of all things) a Toyota Corona. So many Mustang memories.
Shared memories like these make people want to keep these cars alive. Thank you for the story.
Not just alignment. Probably needs new bushings. Without 'em, you will never know how it really was to drive
I have a very low milage all original 66 gt the amount of play is hilariously bad and that is normal but its just a part of its character.
@@routeddown66 bushings rot milage doesn't matter
I enjoyed this more than the regular review. Just to hear the car.
My dream car right here...and I drive a friggin' Nissan Leaf (same color though!). I love electric cars, but there's just something about old Mustangs that captivates me. Then again, some say you should never meet your heroes...
needs more TRAINS you should drive one, you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll probably start saving money for one!
I have have a 2006 Honda S2000 and yet nothing puts smile on my face like my 78' Ford F150 with a 351M and loud exhaust!
I got my 66 i6 for about 4 grand doesn’t run but she was still worth it
Oh this is a hero you need to meet... I did an track day experience in one! Fell in love harder and I will own mustang one day
In the process of restoring a 66 mustang, I love it and I’ll never sell it, it was my dads first car
This brings back memories of my '66 Mustang, same interior, Arcadia Blue exterior. It was my first car, bought in 1969 from the Ford dealer on Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa, CA. I got it up to 100mph just before sunrise on the 405 freeway, back when the freeways weren't always jammed.
Brought back memories, my dad and I shared a 66 mustang, blue with auto and 6 cylinder, came out of Army and bought a Shelby GT 350.
The temperature will stay between E and M! EM! EM! But what's this? Fink!
T E M P
Simon Coles the gauge has blue on one side and red on the other, in between it says TEMP.
Pull the steering wheel and rotate it to the next notch on the spline and it should be centered easy fix.
I’ve done 140 is a 66 Mustang with a 289 in it. So I can vouch that speedometer isn’t misrepresenting itself,lol!!
Miss my ‘65 Fastback I sold 3 years ago still. Was a great corner carving car, which was the most unexpected thing about it.
Beautiful car, own a 68' 289 myself (and it's my first car)
Mr Regular didn't knock his shoes before getting in!
*gasp
I have a 65 convertible, same color, but mine has been just sitting for years since I don't have any money to put into it right now
I know it's been 3 years but are you interested in selling it?
@@rexjolles I sold it a few years ago sorry man
@@schmoopDJ thanks
I've owned and dailyed a 66 and a 68 both bone stock. The only time I ever had to drop it in neutral at a stop was when one of the rear drums started going out. The way that thing was struggling might be time for a tune up too. They're not fast cars by any means but you should no problem maintaining speed if tuned properly.
Please do a review on a Deuce and a Half. The commentary you could think of would be comedic CZcams gold.
50 shades of BROWN!!
Amazingly, this came true 11 months later!
i love how you find so much stuff similar to your VF and mentions it all the time, are you a father? cuz im not and i mention my mk1 Escort a lot when driving my friend's cars just like you do, AND I LOVE IT :)
Great video bud! Keep up the great work you've always done, thanks for the video.
Regular guy voice...thank god.
Would love to see a Datsun 240z/260z/280z on RCR!
I've always wanted one of these... Going to look at one soon, it's the most expensive car I've ever considered buying but hell, it's a Mustang!
My '68 indicates 5 under. Like the raw footage.
Mine is 4 over which makes spirited driving a bit off if you're already speeding, he.
TheWeekenderKit oops I mean when it says I'm going 65, I'm actually going 70
Same my 68' reads about 10 over probably because of the tires and the rear end, need to get a speedo gear with more teeth I think.
Phone GPS, will read more accurate than speedo gears. I wouldn't worry about it.
This is the exact car I am looking to buy and own until I die. Such a beautiful combination of colours.
I have the same one just a year younger, (1966) a convertible, and a little brighter blue. I love driving it to school.
Great, now I have to find time to work on my 66 mustang.
I have a 69 i need to work on.
Christine Kutz not sure if making a joke or serious about old iron needing attention
Jason Young '69 mustang, that is.
It needs a "Rally-Pac", then you would have a tach, and a clock ;-).
There we go, normal voice and I own a '66 Mustang!!! Mine isn't an automatic though
I live in the same state as him. lol so proud
I have a 65 mustang and the steering wheel does the same thing from the alignment being off... just in the opposite direction
love it ,would love to ride across the US in it !!!
That is a beautiful car
sound is awesome
What a beauty!
They have the exact same barrel and starter placement on my 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe
I was hoping Nick would do the POV as well.
Awesome!
I have a 66 too, same color, except faded and needs work. It's a straight six with a cruise-o-matic. My steering wheel was the same way.
You have a Falcon. I get it. Anyway very nice Mustang. Good driving too.
I plan on restoring the 1966 Mustang my family owns in a few years. Black exterior and red interior.
This will always be grandma's car to me because grandma had one. I can practically smell the pack a day cigarette habit through the monitor.
Sweet, I got a 1965 with parts from a 1966, and a 1998 Ford mustang GT
wow that steering slop!
Common in older cars
The first 6 seconds looked like something out of a game
The Hardtop is my favorite early Mustang of the 3 available body styles
that looks fun to drive
Let the guy talk
needs an alignment for sure. you don't see many GTs with an auto and air. Mine was a 4 spd and a rally pack instrument cluster. also had Pony interior.
Why is your partner not driving the car? He's the one who did the review
I imagine he did get to drive it and wasn't writing based on someone else's experience
Or he simply did the narration. In earlier episodes they've mentioned that both of them write about 50% of each review
Capt Trdl fuck you
thebigcheese3000 no me
I had a 66 that I bought I think it was in 1971 but it was a "like new" car that came into the dealership my Dad worked in. I was still in my teens and drove the car from NJ to Milwaukee wi, where I parked in front of a multi family home where my friends lived, went up the stairs and within 5 minutes heard somebody yelling, "whose mustang with the new jersey license plates better hurry they'll steal everything" . I ran downstairs, got to the car and saw they smashed the window and stole my stuff from inside the car. I sold it in Milwaukee and thought I found one just like it at mecum a few months ago which I would have bought but the bidding just went crazy. Hopefully will get the next one.
Pretty interior.
Holy shit im early. BROWN
1966 Ford Is a beast
I had a black and silver Mustang with the exact AC and 4 speed.
I had the original power steering hated it. Fixing the lean. Shelby drop upper arms. kick upper control arm shaft back 1/8th inch rearward, 1974 Maverick disc and spindles gives you 3 degees of caster, 1968 Mustang big block springs with 1/3rd coil cut out, Koni shocks, Monte Carl brace, export brace, one inch front sway bar, 11/16th rear Stam bar sway bar all with polyurethane bushings and sway bars with hime joints, extra 1/2 leaf on the leaf springs. 2007 Chevy Equinox electric power steering, adjustable with a reostat. 298 Reed Cam, Tremec 5spd, 3:55 reas. Falcon, it can no longer be mentioned.
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN
Enjoy jus driving that one
Lool at the ammount of steering input you need to put :D
how can u compare the handling of this to the Falcon ? Falcon is modern underneath
I forgot how sloppy the steering was on these; be careful!!!
Come back to the UK I've got a piece of shit Honda CR-V for you
StubbornMule First gen?
time for an alignment.
Does it pull to the right like the FALCON?
Maybe the alignment did it. We got the front end redone on the f100 last month and now IT'S cockeyed.
I gotta remove the wheel and realign it.
Those vent windows...
My dad has this car but sadly its broken down but were fixing it which is good
everyone gets a wave
Is it just me, or does it sound like Topher Grace is driving the car...? :o)
On my car if you took off the cover from the horn, underneath was the cover for the Ford Falcon.
NOT THE ROMAN
Is is just me or the vents in the middle look like what Mercedes S and E Klasse has now?
where's the remote part on the key fob? why is that steering wheel so thin? = it's been too long since I drove a classic
Nice
The FOV is too damn high!
8th gen si for review?
The owner is my kinda guy haha
Youre steeringwheel is not straight but the rest looks real great!
is it normal for the steering to have that much play ?
i thought automatic transmission was a newer thing. never knew 60s cars came with auto
Omg did you center the wheel on this ole girl!?
Cool
MERSEDES G WAGON in the mirror 7:04 lol.
RABBLE RABBLE THE ALIGNMENT IS OFF CAN'T WATCH CAN'T

Did you compare the IS 350 to your falcon?
Was the IS 350 based on the Falcon platform like the Mustangs were?
RegularCars Yo, how do his windows roll up so easy? lol Mine take quite a bit of effort to roll up and down. Perhaps the windows need realigned?
Clean and grease the regulators & the window tracks, also the more often you use them the easier the windows roll up & down.
PhoeniX Angel needs new tracks or they need greased.
Tilly Masterson called; she wants her car back.
Also, why is he tilting the gear forwards and backwards? Is it some sort of neutral?
He kind of explained it in the video, but since the car has manual brakes, when the car is in D at a stop, you have to maintain a lot of pressure on the brake pedal to keep the car from moving. Putting it in neutral makes it easier to maintain enough brake pedal pressure to keep the car from moving.
We have a car like that
You can do that with a string by the way
RegularCars !!!! I have reason to believe you are on a "try not to laugh challenge" just posted on Markiplier's channel??
Control yourselves fellas, lol
