Today I brought an idea to fruition by hiding some "unsightly" magnets on my 3D prints. This is just one possible use, but it works, and it works well. So, I thought I would share with you all.

A couple of my printers don't respond to the pause at layer height script in Cura but I was able to get around it by adding M300 to the G-code before pause and G4 S120 to the G-code after pause. Works perfectly in my case. M300 is a beep command to let you know you're at the desired layer and G4 is a dwell command which will just wait for the desired S time (ie 120 seconds). I actually use G4 S60 now as most times that's enough to insert nuts or change filament.
And a little tip for inserting magnets...and I learned this the hard way...don't use a hardened steel nozzle if you're using strong neodymium magnets. At least test the nozzle against a magnet first to be sure it isn't attracted to it. I've had prints pulled off the bed because of this.
Whoa, I appreciate all the info and tips! Thank you!
I use Prusa Slicer and pause to enclose magnets, nuts, screws, anything I wish to.
I was using that up until I switched to the Klipper screen. I'll eventually go back when I get more time to set up a profile. I feel like my prints turned out nicer with Prusaslicer.
Cool trick! I've also bought an SV06 recently so going through all videos of our channel lol
You can put your weed in there
