Mike thinking outside the box on the turtle rock. Great job! That had me smiling ear-to-ear.
H2O for the win
Mike is more than just a pretty face. 😊
Yeah, that transfer of angular momentum from the wheels to the vehicle to tip it forward... Coolest automotive thing I've seen in a long time.
Ha! Post turtle rory
Ha! Post turtle Rory. Dude can drive and that rig ain’t all that. Proof that $200k won’t get you where balls and brains can
Love the highlight of how a local club helped keep a trail open by provided a space for the tadpoles to be safe.
The story is all about accepting limitations and compromise. I am sure many offroaders drove through there for years because it was considered part of the trail and who was going to tell them where they could and couldn't drive. I am sure the environmentalists were saying the whole trail needed to close and no one could drive anywhere because of the toad.
The club said both of those are wrong and we can walk and chew gum at the same time. They accepted closing a small portion of the trail to protect wildlife while simultaneously keeping the rest of the trail open. As the video shows there is still plenty to navigate on the 21 road trail.
It's a perfect view into how to handle a problem like an adult in today's world were so many people see in black and white and refuse to give up anything even if it is relatively small.
You have to remember the turtle move. Turtled on a big rock: "Mike yells: spin the tires fast and step on the brakes sharply." Then Rory's vehicle moves forward and can finish the obstacle. Awesome trail. Thanks
Tyres are full or water moving mass makes movement
I've never seen someone use their tires as 'centrifugal force' like that. The sudden stop throws the weight forward.Great idea Mike!
@@ashleywright1991 water would make it more effective but with tires that big a sudden stop at high rpm would be a lot of momentum on its own.
@coreyhansen8119 yes any rotating mass is which is why brake or accelerate when airborne in a vehcile to level it when it lands ... eg to stop a rally car nose diving
I really like how Mike points out interesting rock formations, flowers, and animals.
Mike's idea of using the tires inertia was pure genius. There's been more than once Mike has left me in awe. Sean too. And then a leader like Rory it's no wonder that group is so good at what they do.
Mike for the win! You really dusted of your P.H.D. in physics for that de-turtle using wheel/tire inertia. Rory usually knows all the tricks, but I could tell that you taught him something on that one!
You can tell how hard some of those trails were by the look of concentration on Rory's face, he's usually smiling and laughing
Rory is an incredible driver. Also smart...smart enough to listen to Mike.
Thank you Rory , Mike and Shawn for the adventure , seeing some beautiful scenery and some laughs !
Rory and his new hat. 😅 Love it!
Your videos are like a window into your world, love the view!
BOT
Mike called it! That was a great way over that rock!
Awesome technique! Spinning the tires fast and slamming on the brakes
21 road is definitely different than Moab, so cool to see you there. Congrats to the Grand Mesa club for keeping it open.
What can a guy say, Rory is simply a Rockstar! The man is amazing behind a wheel!
In Colorado, we have the red tungsten billed rock peckers. The Internet says they contribute 88% of the red material in the Colorado river. Otherwise, we be known as the state of Colobrowno.
Wow another great video from the MOAB team of Rory, Mike and Shawn and the other driver's in this video. Lot's of fun thrown in a little suspense and drama. Good times and fun!
Rory looking good in vacation mode. Mike" 10 seconds in and Rory's already picked a spicy line". Love watching you guys have a good time, take care and keep on doing what you're doing, love to watch it
It would be an absolute privilege to watch a master at his craft (Rory) in person....we all know the camera doesn't do some of the steep angles justice...... awesome stuff ❤️🇺🇲
You guys are having way to much fun...great video Justin..that rear steer buggie was awesome
What an awesome trail! Glad to see you guys out having some fun !
If I hadn’t seen you drive over that boulder at the end I wouldn’t have believed it was possible. No way! Not possible! But cha did it, wow! Skills plus the right rig = success.
Looks like a great time!
Sweet!! Diamond-billed Rock Pecker nests at 10:25 😂
Love the vacation mode gear by Rory. Wonder how many Trail Mater shirts that Mike goes through with welding burns?
All of em!
10 seconds in and Rory is testing the Limits of the Trail ,,, he already knows the limits of the Buggy, but trails change all the time. Love the content 👌
That must be Diamondbill Rockpecker breeding grounds.
Love Seáns reaction to Mike pointing out the tower!
About time Rory and crew

As a long time subscriber & regular watcher I am still amazed at Rory's driving skill. He makes the hard lines look easy. Love seeing the crew go on some recreational wheeling trips!
Epic spotting by Mike!
Great to see The Team out playing 🤩 Thanks for sharing
The ol $12 buggy looks so much better with the new front bars on it..
That was the ultimate RC fix spin the tires then slam on the brakes it'll slide forward see those R c's coming handy for all kinds of learning
Dang Rory you are the bomb off-road!! Loved the turtle and Mikes idea of getting off the rock. You guys all rock!
Freaking awesome! Some well driven , very capable rigs! Impressive
The 00 green lizard is still getting the job done. I knew it would do it. LOL
One of the best shot wheeling videos ive seen.
It seems like you guys vacation days look alot like work days. I m jealous. Knowing its not that simple.
It looks like everyone was having a good time climbing all those rocks!

Crazy ! Thanks for sharing !
Mike's truck is a BEAST!
Great skills by all, one jeeper was running street tires and making it thru and Rory put his rig on a 'trophy rock' doing the Rock a bye baby. Great video of all who was there.
🐢, on the rock. Awesome video. Always nice to see some play time. Rory's crazy lines and driving skills are top tier. Mike's scenery shots and commentary are always a hoot. And Shawn is there to follow up.
Real cool story about the toads!!
You guys are AWESOME!!! What great skills, great crawlers and excellent footage!! That last one, I was trying to help Rory rock the buggy to get it over the hump!! LOL!!
Dang Rory, Assert Your Turtle Dominance!!
Excellent rock crawl video. Nice hat Rory.
That balancing act was super awesome!
We need more video's rock crawling when you guys are on vacation...or not working. Nice wheeling.👍🏻
The save the frog, save the trail story was cool. 😎
Absolutely fricken awesome!!!!!
The smiles say it all. Smiles for miles.
Rory's buggy is so capable now, I can't imagine what it will be like with rear steer!
Rory you are one hell of a driver
Super awesome Turtle maneuver near the end! All three rigs looking good.
Thanks for taking us along.
DC
Thanks for sharing that was amazing
Thanks for taking us along!! When Rory stood next to yhat last rock . Yeah its tall ✓
Awesome wheeling by all !!!!!
Rory redefined the meaning of going "turtle"! Mike had him pull out all the stops and got him to spin the wheels real fast and slam on the brakes. There was just enough energy in the air to carry him over the top for the win.
I didn’t quite understand the energy transfer, but it worked. Stopping forward rotation of the tires imparted forward rotation to the buggy chassis maybe? Causing a few fractions of an inch of forward slide on the turtle pan?
Greetings from OREGON. Thanks for sharing this information with us
The crew had a lot of fun, I'm jelly!
that last rock was NUTS. you guys are legends
FRICKIN AMAZING !!!...... rock crawling at its finest !!!..... great job by all !!
So many relaxed looking people in a pretty wild situation.
Rory doin' the turtle at about 17:00!!!
I see a t shirt there!!🤣
I was signed up for this very run, but I broke my TJ on the last obstacle of the Cutoff after running Billings Canyon the day before. I wish I could have been there!
Rory, so cool when u were "stuck" on that big rock! Cool dude! 😅
Here we go! 🚛⛓️🏜️
Guys, consider light color shirts over the dark ones. They will keep you cooler and they show grease and dirt better so you'll know when to wash them and not have to depend on smell test alone😅. Cool video.
I always enjoy watching you guys wheeling. It is always good to take some time to relax and have fun
Nice,
Rory looks like fun for sure 🎉❤
Keep up with the good work love watching you on CZcams god bless
Awesome trail good Times!👍
I don't think I've ever seen any of my favorite channels tackle this trail before. Look's like a hell of a great ride!
Thanks for sharing. It looks like you all had a blast!
Y'all need another? I'll cameraman for ya! I just want to enjoy that comraderie and scenery with y'all! I'll get dirty!
Rory is off-road king!
Great stuff guys! Tadpoles and a turtle.
Great video all 3 of you did great . Thanks to the Jeep clup for keeping the trails open
Home sweet home Grand Junction Colorado don't live there anymore but still visit. Not sure if still open but as teenagers we would go out Cameo and wheel some good trails and sometimes get lucky enough to see wild horses. Enjoy the videos no matter where you are as the back ground is amazing, what an office to work in too
Loved the 'Holy Rocks' and Roy on Turtle rock...need a T-shirt please. And thank you for the Froggies going courting pond. What a fun day that had to be ! !
That was some serious rock crawling. Much respect for everyone.
I really love that side-note about six minutes in; about the jeep club stepping up to protect endangered species and fragile areas while also keeping the trails open.
I love when you do buggy shenanigans
Good god Rory’s skills and that buggy are insane!
Great to see everyone out wheeling and having some fun.
That last rock was wild
I love watching you guys build stuff and do trail repairs and rescue people, but I like these wheeling trips too. This was a good video.
You're play time videos are even better than the recoveries😅
That was awesome thinking Mike
What can a guy say, Rory is simply a Rockstar! The man is amazing behind a wheel!😀
"You're up...hahaha" 😂 and "I DON'T WANT TO DO IT NOW!" 😂😂
3 most capable drivers and spotters on any trail!
Fun from the get go! Thanks for coming north and getting it!
Way to go Mike!!!!!! Rory you are such a talented driver! that run looked like a lot of fun !!!!!
