Good job my jesus bles jou gaas n lot
I’m glad Doug is being careful. This is a dangerous dive.
Dave, I’m a retired army veteran living just outside Glasgow Scotland, I was advised by my wife to get into diving for my mental and physical health which I was skeptical about but went and done some courses and now I’m an assistant diving instructor and absolutely love it.
If I could find a way I’d love to be able to join you and your team in a recovery, sitting watch yourself and the guys whilst going through my rehab for injuries sustained whilst in Iraq definitely helped you have no idea the amount of headspace it gave me to just not worry or panic about the future.
Thank You for your service. Know you time in country was appreciated by many.
I hope they call you. That would be a great time and opportunity. Best wishes and luck. Stay strong bro
I needed to read this today. I’m joyful for you brother. I’m searching for that thing right now.
Give this man a chance!!! All he is asking for is a chance. Heavy d you know what to do.
I hope they see this comment
Being in the towing and recovery business for 20 years and now driving oversized and heavy haul you guys kill it. A inspiration and motivation helping me stay positive. Thank you so much
These guys got recovery vehicles and equipment for land, sea, air practically any scenario
Just don't drink that pond water he endorses 🤮
Great video. Super team effort. How did the boat sink?
Just had my last chemo and tomorrow my last radiation treatment after 8 weeks and a HeavyD or Sparks Motors video always lifts me up. Thank you brother for always showing me what can be done when you point your mind and body towards success.
Best wishes for you ❤️
I'm wishing you the best of Luck ❤❤
Good job hope your doing better good luck
Good health to you! Finished my last chemo & radiation 46 years ago.
As a nurse, former paramedic, and scuba diver, Doug coming up saying he couldn’t breathe really had me concerned. Y’all need better safety/medical folks with you. My personal dive boat has a full first aid kit with pulse ox monitoring, stethoscope, and oxygen tank.
I currently work remotely doing chart reviews and I’d love to come out and lend a TRAINED hand with your recoveries.
Dougs fine. I’d say they knew what as going on. In tops of that, they need some suspense, keep that in mind.
I'm not even an amateur diver and even I was concerned when Dave mentioned the elevation change Doug had gone through in the last 24 hours. I think Doug picked up a few bad habits from rushing between jobs, and everybody with less experience than him just took his word of being okay to do the dive. Hopefully this a wake-up call for him that he needs to slow down and actually adjust to the local elevation first. He's given a lot of people some much needed answers, and it would be a shame to lose him to hubris.
Luv, pretty sure they got this…. Have you watched both dudes channels. 🙁
@@damiencass8156 A little Drama helps keep things entertaining...
His tenders need to be qualified divers or they are going to kill him accidently if you do a more serious job. Having rescued and recovered my share of people, it's important they have an understanding. Great job on pulling up the boat! Right equipment for the job.
Damn Dave, if you’re not careful you are going to end up being the premier go to Heavy Rescue company in the western United States. You guys will get the most daring, dangerous, and complicated rescues in the game.
Deep water horizon type stuff. Agree
It's very impressive what they do already. But when it comes to urban area truck and car recoveries they could learn a lot from Pepe's in LA.
Your cameramen and drone operators are unsung heroes.
Agreed! They're awesome!!
At higher altitudes Doug needs to wait at least 72h for his body to adjust to the elevation. Our bodies produce enough red blood cells according to the altitude / eg. oxygen partial pressure, within a few a few days the body produces more red blood cells to carry that necessary oxygen. Small caveat, more red blood cells means 'thicker' blood. With that comes a whole can of worms of other possible issues.
Its not just all rainbows and daisies when you dive in the mountains.
another issue we had in the past is exhaust fumes from boats etc. The carbon monoxide can block oxygen receptors on the red blood cells, reducing the oxygenation further.
Hydration plays a role too, at higher altitude you need to hydrate more, since the air tends to be dryer.
An idea for the future. To get bags down to the bottom, you can take a pulley and run a rope through it. Then take the pulley down to the thing you are lifting up and connect the pulley to that. Then you can use people or some device to pull the rope on the surface which is a lot easier than pulling things down by the person or persons under the water as they often do not have a good surface to brace against to pull bags down that aren't or can't be fully deflated.
This is 100% how it should be done.
Absolutely love me some Doug!! I was so nervous when Doug came up and said he couldn't breath. Maybe you should consider having an EMT on board if you have another rescue like this one. This is serious business and needs to be treated like that. Thank you for sharing.
" I can't breathe " diesel dave "breathing is nice" lmao
Heavy D, it’s John Burford with SeaTow Central Texas. We do salvage/recoveries weekly and love this content. Boat recoveries is my passion and love my job. I’d love to offer some insight and join you guys for a recovery some day.
I’m sure he doesn’t give a shit about your insight nor wants you to join him on a recovery lol
@MJusten7657 you okay little buddy? Daddy still not back with the milk?
@@MJusten7657 I agree, we do recoveries and commercial diving up in Canada, a few cues and tricks could surely help make the work easier.
Glad to see you working with Doug, that's a fine recovery, glad he was cautious and safe. Fine fella, that, and I appreciate that he explains the process. Pretty cool to see that boat drive out like it never was under water.
Thanks guys ,,feeling kind of low today, until I saw your vedio, keep up the great show PTSD And life ,turned 73 the 20th needed to vent thanks again
Vent anytime you need. Always better to vent and let go then hold it and let it keep building!
That line up for the boat launch would make me sell my boat. That's terrible
At the SLC reservoirs you gotta get on the water by 7am and off by 10:30 am - Take your runs, pull your portable course and get off before all the yahoos arrive with their wake boats
I've never wait for more tan two boats up in the great white north, in central ontario.
That lake has 2 boat launches too
lets be honest, its because these boys slowwed it up getting the sunken boat out
@@rileyhd3473 that time was spent out in the lake, ... not at the launch
I’m so glad your making a difference in the world and for yourself Dave, I admire you.
dude no way a day of recovery with all the boys?! that's sick and whoever gets to go, you will have an absolute blast!!!
Nice work!!! Love seeing Doug Bishop working with you. He's a great man.
I love that you are teaming up with Doug so much! He is great, I always watched the episodes of him with AWP and I'm so glad he keeps doing it after all that happened. Much love to you and him from Germany
I use a vacuum pump to empty my recovery air bags to reduce buoyancy which makes them much easier to work with.
Do you know what type of air compressor they are using. I fill my airbags with just a regular air compressor or air tanks. I have been wanting one just like the one they have. Small and pump a lot of air fast
@@jonoface5136 Seems to be an older Honda Horizontal OHV Engine, But I don't see any air tanks. There's air compressors with the Honda Horizontal OHV Engine that have tanks attached and its called "Pontoon". Northern tool sells some, but if anything a portable gas powered air compressor would help you out. Not sure about using electric out there in the water. Air compressor tank capacity is is what will slow you down cause when it runs out, you have no pressure. If you could just bypass the tank part, it will fill faster. I cant get a good view of it so, don't take my word for it.
@@jonoface5136they’re using a blower inflator not a compressor.
With all the compressed air you have available you should be able to rig a blow vacuum to suck all the air from the airbags. Or just use Hans....😅
Or you need a drunk friend who will jump in and lay on top to push the air out
I owned a wrecker business and did lots of recoveries. My son owns a boiler company and we are very familiar with this sort of operation . 73 now and retired and miss the “action”. Great job and appreciate your ingenuity. That’s the way you do it. Be cleaver and you can figure out any project. Yes sir !
Great teamwork!! 💚💚💚 Doug Bishop!!
Prayers for you and all your teammates! Keep up the phenomenal work guys.
I love that you guys all come together from this community.

Dude this is the coolest recovery ever. Good stuff.
Doug is just amazing 🤗🙏🏼
Thx for the Appreciation, thx for sharing.
Wish I could have helped Doug with the dive, when he came up that first time I thought for sure he had come up to fast and got the bends or had a gear malfunction by the look on his face. He made it out by himself though which is a credit to his knowledge and skill. This was an awesome recovery, as a diver I really enjoyed watching the recovery process y’all go through to recover these boats. You guys rock, keep on keeping
You Guys Rock ! I wish I could experience being with your Whole Kickass crew
Wow!!!!!fantastic recovery!!!!and the idea of having a few of your subs come along!!!!! That's AWESOME!!! Lol hopefully it's me!!!!!

Seeing as they didn't show any damage and towed it back with the pump off tells me it was in fact just the drain plug, despite what the owner said.
Well, that would be embarrassing ... but there appeared to be no particular damage.
I kept waiting for the cause of the sinking it takes a lot of effort or alcohol to get a boat that size to sink
My guess is fresh water line on the engine - they pump water up from below to cool the engine - if the return line from the engine back out the hull popped off or failed it would pump about 30gpm right into the hull, plus water would back feed from the hull fitting, and the more you run the engine trying to get back to shore the faster you sink.
