- When we purchased our trailer, we initially thought that we would replace the steps with a solid, fold-in option. However, after seeing some drawbacks to those, we decided to install the Lippert Solid Stance Stabilizer to our factory steps. I bought this but the bolts go through the rubber step tread. I noticed your bolts aren't showing on the step. How did you install it this way?
I ended up removing the rubber strips. Then I drilled the holes in the groove, and reinstalled the rubber strips over the screws.
Does it take the bounce out of the trailer when using the stairs?
Yes, there may still be a little bounce, but it makes a huge difference.
