My widowed grandmother supported her three kids by running a tavern during the Depression. Her late husband helped her to set one up before he died. He told her that no matter how bad times get, people always have money for booze and cigs, and he was right.

Neighborhood bars were popular during the depression because people doubled up in living quarters and needed getaways for a little bit. This was true of barber shops and beauty parlors. I'm sure your grandmother enjoyed the beauty parlor.... try to be understanding. People need their little pleasures.
I've been noticing and saying this for 30 years about tattoos, cigarettes, alcohol, eating at restaurants, Starbucks, bars, and the need for name-brand food and soda vs generics; and more-recently about new cell phones and food delivery / takeout. Also, paying 2x normal price for convenience store items or paying 2x for soda at Home Depot vs a grocery store (basically, not even trying to save vs. the convenience of now).
It's so annoying when they ask you for money that you'd never spend on such things for yourself, and when you bring that up they get mad. It's just insulting.
People who are poor, will always be poor it’s like most professional athletes and musicians, especially rappers. They make millions of dollars but 75% of them are bankrupt and forgotten five years later and it’s because they come from poor families and want to look rich if you listen to any modern rap video it’s always about getting your paycheck going to the club Poppin bottles, smoking cigarette, smoking lots of weed drive, the flashy sports cars, get big booty, wiggling at your face ball flashing money etc. but you will notice that many of these Rapstar’s will be bankrupt and forgotten in less than 10 years for example Lil Wayne he was a hit back in 2008 but today I can guarantee he’s probably on the edge of bankruptcy and most people forgot about him.

You forgot strip clubs. I’m a pharmacist and was once scheduled to a store in a “ghetto”/poor part of the city. The pharmacy I worked at was next to a liquor store and a strip club with a sign that said “97 pretty girls and 3 ugly ones”. The pharmacy was empty but they weren’t.

#16: Child support- why keep putting yourself in a situation to create a family you have no intention on taking care of? Why keep reproducing to end up having the courts taking money out of your check? Why put your driving (license) and traveling privileges at risk (passport) for financially abandoning your kid(s)? Don't have kids until your sure about the person and have the financial means to sustain a household and raise the child adequately

Everybody's situations are different. Marriages end; one or the other partner (perhaps both) is cheating/abusive/addicted. People grow apart. Life happens.
As a man who (proudly) paid his support obligations, I can't express enough how much I resent the insinuation that men who pay [court-ordered] child support are inherently deadbeats. I wish it had worked out with my daughter's mother, but it didn't. But even when I faced multiple deployments to the Middle East, even during those moments when I was eating baby food in the barracks, even when any stimulus check I might have been eligible for went to the system first, I made sure that my child had the financial support she needed. (And before you ask: YES, I was present and involved, at least as much as the Army could allow, during her upbringing.)
It was rough, it was hard, but I still did it--of course because I love my child, but mostly out of love and respect for my own father, who paid his. I mean, you could have easily said "not all fathers," and we'd get that. But you could have just as easily said 'childbearing,' under the same admonishments mentioned above. But that would place responsibility on both parent, I guess, so why bother.

Walmart is high end now? They don't sell lottery tickets. I only see them sold at every gas station I've ever been to.
We have what I would say is a higher end supermarket. It has a sushi chef and rather more expensive things and prices. But this supermarket has two lottery machines because not everyone drives up in a BMW or a Mercedes. And there are cheaper places to go. They just will not go there.
It shapes me every day, the cynicism of being modest.
My daughter in law will text my wife begging for $100 for food and diapers, but God forbid you tell them to use their cigarette money!!
My dad's 3rd x wife was like this, she drained his inheritance before my grandparents died.

My older sister was a pathetic broke deadbeat. Married 4 or 5 times. She was ALWAYS begging my dad for cash and he was happy to hand it over. I knew exactly what was gonna happen when he died and I was right. About 2 days later, she was calling me when I had not seen her in 10 years trying to bum $20 bucks. I said "absolutely NOT, no way". There was no way I was gonna be her new bank account. She never called again. That was like 12 years ago and I have never heard from her again. In fact I have not really seen her for 35 years, she always had really shady men around her. Her last man was on "Canada's 10 most Wanted List". There was always collection agencies calling my house looking for her, she would rent tv's and vcr's and then take them to the pawn shop, lol, what an asshat...

Pets they can’t afford to take care of is one I’ve noticed a lot, especially lately. So many people I see have dogs that they bought during lockdowns, and now these large dogs they have, that need room to run around daily, don’t get outside of small apartments more than 2x a day. Then they don’t understand why the dogs get depressed. It’s not just financially irresponsible, it’s sad to see the animals deteriorate.
That is why I do not keep pets.

When I lived in San Diego in 2019/85% of the people that live there were wealthy I was doing deliveries at the time and I was ranging up to $25 an hour as the people were wealthy and thankful for the service and I have delivered to some houses that were over $25 million and all of these people look like your every day people with holes in jeans button shirts long hair call me back surfboards your standard 2002 Toyota Camry and some of them will just live in a standard $600,000 house but they actually have a net worth of millions. And it’s like people saying the cheapest are the richest.

@europec2082 thats a very common tactic. They collect money tax free and make 50,000 per year or more doing it. They stake a corner for a while, jump in their nice car, move to another corner and make more money.
There are areas that have free wifi. I am sure a subscription to Apple is less expensive than renting an apartment.
My tablet is pay as you go creadit, its reduced because I got a special offer, and the tablet was long paid off contract. If I was homeless with no money I'd charge the tablet at the library for free, and use free wifi all over the place to download stuff I can watch later. It's not impossible for homeless to have a phone or tablet however if they are smart enough to do what I just said then the question would be, why they are not smart enough to use that tablet to get a job?

This hits my childhood square in the face. My mom loved her nails, fancy perfume, cigarettes, booze, pets, and fast car. My dad was tatted up, drinking, smoking, on drugs, shooting fireworks, living on takeout, multiple animals, always on holidays in rented houses, buying lottery tickets. We lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with 5 people and had barely any money for food and nothing for us in terms of school activities. We were literally quoted if it cost money you can't do it. It still echoes in my head as an adult. I have to remind myself that i can do anything i want with my own money now. And none of this list is on it.

my brother i will give you some advice you will decline first but do it even if it sounds not good. I know this from experience and many other rich people did this when they were poor.
Get a loan and invest it. Or go study and take a student loan. Take the maximum of loan you can get. Live with low fix costs and invest the money.
This is the only chance poor people got. You have to leverage.
Even gambling like sports bet could get you a bit leverage money by beting 10$ and turning it into 500 or 2k so you can have a puffer for buying better food and investing more or buy important stuff.
But you need a big loan. I dont know how you get it in the USA. But in my countrey students from university can get up to 90k loan over a period of 5 years.
Maybe in the USA its more. But if stay focused and study while nearby saving money and living only by cooking your own food and drinking water you can spend the rest you got.
Invest in stocks and only american shares and the good ones. Stay away from loser shares like consumer ingredients companies like procter gamble, coca cola or mcdonalds or american express bla bla
Go for the big tech companies nvidia and co.

And a few little credit cards with low loan should be your backup in case you need little money for little spendings to eat as an emergency because you run off money before the month ends.

I learned more but its too long to type and I am not feeling anymore because I did all the testing and experimenting from morning to evening outside in the streets only doing human interactions. I became redpill/blackpill even tho i didnt know this words. I became it on my own way without internet form my personal experience and leasons and by suffering and accepting the truth and pain.
In short: all failures in life or miserabl poor life are due to women. Reject women and live isolated. Otherwise you will have big troules in life leading to misery.
I don't have a single tattoo on my body, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke, I play sports and I don't spend money on any nonsense. And feel great!

This video is spot on. I love how blunt and brutally honest this channel is. I used to work with a guy who would always have the newest Jordan shoes, yet complained about having to take the bus and how no one would give him a free ride to work and home. I used to order delivery or hit a drive through during or after work. Its insane how much money you save by making your own lunches and making food at home.
I was that way with Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. It is ABSOLUTELY insane how much you spend on it. It's nice to actually have money in my account now. I invested in a Nespresso. I will treat myself once a week or so but I dont spend $40 a week drinking coffee out

I lost everyhting in life and I am now 35. I had no chance to start again and broke and running in circles.
I dont drink, dont smoke or take drugs. Only drinking water. Since I have no way out I started gambling sport bets but only sport bets. But not to become rich just to leverage my little money into a few thousand. Then I spend it on lottery playing big.
I hit a few times 5 numbers and got over 10k Then i spend it until zero and right after i was broke again my numbers came and I missed 34 milions... So after I started I would be finished within 2 month.
Well I didnt give up an after 2 years I hit in the end and have over 60 milions. In the road to that goal i hit a few times 10k,50k,100k.
I eliminated fear and spend it always to zero and then started again with 100 to make it into a few thousands by sports betting and then lottery to hit again 10-100k. When i hit it i would spend all 10k or 100k into one single day of loterry.
If there is no way out you have to gamble. Or invest in stock market if you have a job. Since I had no job i couldnt invest in stock market, because the government wouldnt allow it since you get payments.
Jewelry, drugs, payday loans, pawn shops, bars, strip clubs, hosting parties, gold rims, selling stolen items on eBay & Craigslist, having more kids than they can afford, selling their food stamps for cash, etc...
Don’t forget 24 inch wheels for their car

One thing I see a lot of is poor people buying designer bags to try to act like they're rich, and they also want to use the actual shopping bag later on for their errands so they can walk around acting like they shop at that Designer Place often.

Honestly You may never know the value of that €1 you have until you go bankrupt, the bad experience I had last year really made me feel that our school curricula should contain more financial knowledge and education. Never. I cried the last time I was overdraw. I was so freaking tired of watching my money go away and had nothing to show for it. I promised myself that day I would never be overdrawn again. It’s been two years to the day today.

I quit smoking in Sept 1996, when cigarettes were $8AUD a pack. $60AUD was the cost of a carton (10 packets). For the best part of the last 20years, the price of smokes has gone thru the roof, with $60AUD being the average price, yet people still smoke.........
All the taxation pays for the entire medical system. In Canada in 1996 smokes were under 2 bucks.

I remember in 2021 during a virtual team meeting/event, at one point everyone was talking about their tattoos. When my manager asked me what kind of tattoo I have and I said I have no tattoo everyone was like shocked and some said “how come you don’t have a tattoo?” as if having a tattoo is a must.
I don't have any tattoos either. I just tell people that while I don't have any tattoos I do have several scars and chronic joint pains from various misadventures of my youth. I get that shocked response all the time too
I did 20 years in the Navy and never got a tattoo, which is very rare! I'm 53 now and I worked with a lot of much younger people who all have tattoos. When I was younger, having a tattoo was unique. Now, not having one is unique. Having one now is just being like everyone else, you're not special or edgy at all. Just a boring clone trying to fit in.
Tell them you have a tattoo but it’s in the place you can’t show to them.

Whoa! So true! Every broke single mother I've known in the last few years always had money for new tattoos and nails. One even refused to take her daughter to the dentist because she had to spend 1.5k on a new back tattoo. I'm talking about Kansas City, MO single mothers to be specific, worthless. All of them made sure they didn't get a better-paying job because they would lose their government handout money. And they were all loud feminists who talk about the patriarchy won't let them get ahead. Stay away from single mothers, most, not all, have a history of bad decisions. But they don't need a man as long as the government keeps giving them handouts to afford those tattos.

What has always vexed me is how people living on the street with no food or shelter or income can be resourceful enough and manage to still find enough money to feed there vices. Often there drug, alcohol and tobacco habits manage to exceed the costs of paying for rent, food and a car combined. And that haunting remark a poor child once said when asked by a CZcamsr in Venezuela “Where would you live in the World if you had a choice to go anywhere”, and he replied; “I would want to live in the USA, because I want to live where the poor people are fat”. Think about that. We have no perspective in this country, how much does the average person in this country make compared to the billions of other people around the World making an average wage of $2.00 a day. Why are we so over medicated and miserable, it makes no sense!

Having worked for a personal loan company, this is accurate. There is a certain breed of people that will always have money for this stuff, but can't pay their bills. Among our preset reasons on our application were car repair (makes sense in a pinch), weddings, Christmas, graduation, Easter, vacation.

Where I worked the staff were not paid on time. I was management so had my pay on Monday. I offered each staff member $200 loan on Friday to get them to work on Monday. 1 man went across the road & bought 5 packets of cigarettes (being a 7-11 he paid alot more). Another man asked to borrow the spare fuel can from my car - he walked to get it filled with fuel stop then topped his fuel tank up to drive to the fuel station. He thanked me as he was unable to drive home. He had $120 in his wallet to get him through until he was paid. Others went to the pub after work & boozed up before needing to sober up to drive home.
I always make sure I have money, and the money I waste on personal enjoyment or to collect stuff is the money I saved by buying end of life food from supermarkets.
@@legobrickabrac I used to work my own hours in 1 contract. I would do grocery shopping at 2.00pm just before the brats left school & the shops were not busy. Whilst the school mums were busy I was grabbing the discounted meat. I would save $200-$300 a week for a family of 5. Sometimes I could bulk by but that $200+ savings was $10K - $15K a year -
I worked at an "Indian" Casino many years ago. A majority of the employees were Native Americans. We were all paid on Mondays too. Can you guess why none of us were paid on Thursdays, or Fridays? The Casino knew what to expect if they had done so. Namely, many no-shows on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays......

Woman who are broke often buy cheap accessories that everyone can tell is cheap, and they go to a nail salon to have even cheaper looking fake nails done. That's such a silly expense that doesn't provide you anything. Guys often buy games or sports gadgets that aren't really required for anything but your ego.
I think people not making their own food, and buying expensive coffee every day, is such a giant waste of money, I'm not sure if these people even understand how much more money they would have if they'd make coffee at home and cook their own meals. People spend hundreds on coffee on the go, what is wrong with them? A coffee made at home costs less than a dollar...
Sweats and snacks are also something that not only lightens your purse, but also screw with your health, so it's a double loss. The trick is, to not completely try to avoid it, but to have just bits every now and than in order to not have a craving build up that ends in a slaughter of several packages of gummy bears. And yes, speaking of experience, as do you, admit it!

I have an old style flip phone, they are about 60 bucks. I was shocked to be at a charity meeting and several of the wealthy men on the committee also have them- it's a privacy thing as well as a frugal thing. And it's always the poor folks who make fun of me for it, as well as my 20 year old truck I bought new at 0% financing and wrote off as a business expense. We know what we're doing.

My phone is over 3 years old and the battery was crap. I just spent 20 bucks on a new one and installed it myself. The phone should last another 2 or 3 years now. No reason to replace something that is serving it's purpose. Good on you!

I’m gonna add fast food because if u have food at home then eat that instead. I added this because whenever I get paid, then atleast $10-15 is allocated towards a low nutrient calorie dense food. I’m not saying don’t ever get takeout but should be less common.
Honestly, the Covid lockdowns forced me to learn that ANYTHING the restaurants make, I can do it better AND cheaper! Now I make sushi & so much more in the kitchen that I make the 'no-freaking-way!' face whenever I dare to think about eating at restaurant or fast food.

Cigar, drinks and lottery is the most common here in our place and yet they ramble on how they don't have money. A previous employee of ours even blame us for not paying him enough when he always spends his money on cigarettes and drinks and was even boastful of these expenditures. These kinds of individuals are truly pitiful. I feel sorry for his partner who was also forced to leave due to his influence.

I only wear cheap sunglasses because I scratch them all the time, I just don't care to have one of my 5 pairs of 15$ sunglasses on my nose and I always feel a bit embarassed when I go get a drink at my friends bar and I see some 40 years old loser flexing with his sunglasses or sneakers, embarassed for him of course ! I own two houses and I boat, and run my own business so I'm am more trying not to rise people's envy ! Beeing simple is one of the keys of financial freedom.

Two things: 1) The Krapdashians got rich not just because of top level marketing. I have a friend of mine on "disability". He has a "mental condition" that prevents him from working a regular job, but he can still sit at a poker table or play online 50-60 hours a week...and playing poorly, I might add. The guy never has more than a couple hundred bucks to his name, is nearly 50, hasn't worked a regular job in 20 years and is living at home with his parents, but damn if he can't find the cash to play the lottery a couple times a week.

Well as a guy working on getting my residency at a hospital in America rents too expensive here, and getting around is tough as well. I experienced 10 years of homelessness in this country, I'm out now but many of my good friends are still either homeless or one paycheck away from it. They often work two or more jobs to barely stay afloat some can't even afford housing. My heart goes out to all those who struggle, it's not an issue of poor work ethic, it's an issue with the systems in place to continuously oppress them.

People often willingly contribute to those systems when they don't have to. People don't have to have tattoos, takeout, etc. Sometimes you're forced into making the rich richer. You don't have much choice. But that IS NOT TRUE 100% OF THE TIME. Those seemingly small things people blow money on that a lot of people write off as nothing absolutely do make a difference.

Great video. LIke Tony Robbins says, "People become addicted to their story." I think subconciously most people like saying things like "I would do X or Y but I can't because I'm broke," then they hang around like minded people who are the same and they collectively fall into the same trap and it is easier to procrastinate and be lazy that way. If you try to get out of that lazy group they will try to pull you back in like lobsters pulling another lobster back in who is trying to escape a boiling pot of water.
I agree with most of the things listed except for things relating to hygiene and clothing. Everyone will eventually need new clothes and taking care of your appearance is important and can help you make more money.

Yes, you need them, but people WAY overdo it. I work at a medium/low end retail store and the amount of money people spend on clothes is insane. Like the QUANTITY they buy is crazy. Piles of clothes on the conveyor belt for their kids that they will outgrow in a year. I get it. Not every poor person does this, but more than a few do.
I look like a bum every day unless I am going out, which is only a few times a year. I can afford to dress better but I don't care

I had a laborer that even if he only had $20 he would rather buy soda that he would never finish than pay his phone bill to get more work.
I had a man unwashed & stinking 1 shift. He told me had no water. I told him to take a quick shower then get back here. He told me he had NO power so I was at first sad but saw the new packets of cigarettes he had. I needed someone to work Sunday so volunteered him as I paid his power bill & wrote an IOU for him to sign. The $200 was 1/2 of his pay for Sunday's shift.

I'm a substitute public school teacher who brings my own lunch to whatever school I'm at everyday. I bring leftovers from cooking at home, fruits, veggies, etc. I am amazed how many young teachers use food delivery services for lunch several times a week. Some every day! It blows my mind the amount of money spent on a meal, delivery service and tip every time. I have never used one of these services and my husband and I go out to dinner on nights when we have theatre shows or special events. That's it. I will say it keeps "going out for dinner" special. Your video covered some great points. Speaking of schools, I have had kids in my sub teaching gigs, ask me about my phone. They know it's an older version and most can often say what version it is. It's quite sickening as I don't even know what version it is.....I don't care though because it still works.
Been poor during childhood till about 26 years old and around poor people my whole life. Something in common I hear a lot is the phrase, "I deserve". As though being deserving on some frivolous item won't put them deeper into debt or it makes the debt ok.

In my estimation, the only thing that separates the haves and the have nots, is asking the right questions. When you make a decision, it involves asking someone, or yourself, the right question. A good question will yield a good answer, and visa versa. Wealthy people always seem to ask questions that get to the heart of the matter. The resulting action will always be based on an informative answer. Rich people ask a lot of excellent questions which leads to excellent choices which leads to money in the bank. Poor questions yield poor answers and, therefore, poor decisions are made which can be very costly.
That's my two cents! Ask excellent questions to live an excellent life.

There's nothing funny about that. There are good debts and there are bad debts... Basically, the value you produce from your spendings determines if that's an asset or liability, their app is the latter for whoever values knowledge and action.
Student loans for college degrees that have few or no job prospects when the student completes them. These people took the bad advice to only follow their hearts rather than following the fields that have good job prospects. Work can't always be fun and games. Many times we must take the jobs that pay our bills.

A few years ago, I bought a ~25MW generator for 2500$, thinking I could sell it for great profit. The thing was, I knew nothing about generators so it never got sold. Moral: focus on your specific niche and hand out these deals to someone else.

Ugh. I know so many people who do these things and are always broke. Another one poor people spend money on is cable. Not just basic cable, but every channel offered by their cable company, and they watch it on their big screen TV.
And yes, cigarettes. Former smoker (and poor person) here. I always had money for cigarettes. I'm glad I quit when they were around $2.50 a pack. Now they cost four times that amount in my state. One of the reasons is that cigarettes are heavily marketed (and available) in lower-income areas. That is entirely by design.

I think this video is a little harsh and has many generalizations. Not all broke people partake in things described in the video. I am the opposite of broke right now. I was, however, broke in my twenties. I was a single mother and a college student. I never smoked. I never drank…still to this day. I never had tattoos or pets I couldn’t afford. I didn’t get hair extensions or my nails done. I lived off of student loans. I would pay my tuition and housing in advance with my loan check. I’d also prepay my childcare bill in full for the semester when I got my loan check. I used the rest for formula, baby food and diapers. I would often go hungry and had a hard time staying above one hundred pounds. I would go to Wendy’s and order a soda. Back in those days, the crackers for the chili was kept out on a counter with the plastic eating utensils. I would sneak and eat the crackers for a meal. I’d also go on a date just to get a restaurant meal. Those days are gone now. I graduated, paid off my student loans in full within three years and now enjoy a comfortable life with beautiful houses, cars and an experience at humility that made me a better person.

You are an exception because this video is accurate in the impoverished area I live in in South Africa.. Everyone has a beer in their hand and parties every weekend, spends money on fake hair, nails, expensive sneakers, clothes, gambles lives on gorvenment grant support and drive cars above their means and can barely afford a place to stay. Order take out all the time and have no savings or plan for the future and under skilled and unemployable. I'm proud of you for the hard work you put in toget where you are.
Addiction is very serious, so I don't consider the drugs, like cigarettes or booze as a "choice," per se (this includes gambling addiction). I do judge them on the other choices though, like tattoos and lashes.

This is one big dig at people still trying to have some pleasure in their lives whilst living a humdrum existence Since money isn't a fair system, you are punching down on people who don't find it easy to make large amounts of money by attacking the things they try to enjoy about their life despite being financially restricted. As someone with Autism I do things just as "stupid" with almost no money, only they are mostly different to these things, eg getting CDs. Attacking people for using credit by saying condescendingly "just because you can afford the downpayment doesn't mean you can afford the item" why do you think we have to use credit, Einstein! Just because we're poor we shouldn't even have a TV, a car, a PS4, a newer phone, if it's going to take nearly a decade to save up then credit means you get it sooner, life's too short for that. New phone? get an Android model, less controlling, more features, camera likely better and higher resolution than premium IPhone, doesn't cost over a grand.

You’re missing the point: you can’t get out of poverty while continuing these spending habits. If you love poverty, by all means, feel free to waste your money. But if you seek financial stability and freedom, you have to make changes. Read books that can teach you wealth building habits and thinking, like Millionaire Next Door, Rich Dad Poor Dad, etc. Learn about compounding interest, and how much saving $5-$10 a day turns into over time. Or, like you seem to be advising, accept your fate as being broke, and bathe yourself in bad financial choices and debt. You have the freedom to decide where you end up.

No nails, no tattoos, no new phone, no bottles of perfume, hell no tv, cable or computer. Dont gamble and what is a vacation?. No designer products and if they are. It was because I found it at the thrift store and liked it not the lable, which is where 90% of what I buy comes from.
Oh and I do eat out occasionally and there is no way that I can possibly cook if for less. Being a small eater in America where portions are large, I easily get 2- 3 meals out of a meal.

16. ANYTHING from rent-to-own places. Those shysters sell schlock intended to be useless when it is finally paid for. It will either be broken or utterly obsolete when you finally get title. This is where planned obsolescence meets maximal pricing and loan-shark interest. You can usually get better stuff at a thrift or even (when it comes to furniture) an antique store. As with lottery tickets they appeal to people bad at math.
17. Supermarket tabloids. Nothing that you read in it is worth remembering, and if you tell it to someone you will embarass yourself.
18. Junk food. It's overpriced and unhealthy.
Financially irresponsible people like that should be avoided, when you have a friend like that, it is only a matter of time before they ask to borrow money from you (which they will take their sweet time to pay back) or to move in with you until they get back on their feet

Two other things that the poor spend tons of money on are piercings and fancy clothes. Bear in mind that, while a small non-dangling earring may appear OK, having all kinds of bizarre facial piercings is a turn-off for most employers--especially those who look for quality people to fill important jobs. If you look like a freak, then you'll probably be stuck in minimum-wage jobs for the rest of your life, if you can find one. Also, while you need a good business suit for interviews, you do NOT need to buy a whole ton of new, trendy clothes every week just to "keep up with the Joneses." I have a number of T-shirts which I've worn for over a decade.
Strangers often ask me for cigarettes when I'm walking. When I tell them I don't smoke because I can't afford to waste my money like that and apparently neither can they, they always look so butthurt.
