There will also be a 3rd game of HQ, the infamous "25th Anniversary Edition", which was canceled back then, but Hasbro gave their blessing now, it just has to be renamed. Now it's called "Tseu Quest" (!?), release could be February 2022. This version looks quite different, visualy, but it's still the same game, I guess. It has some completely different enemies, like Vampires & Giant Spiders, also more 3D stuff, like Traps. Honestly, this one seems more interesting, but both are probably good.
Well, for a first time setup, that wasn't too bad. ^^ Soloman the Barbarian, nice idea ;) I guess you are using the logitech 920? That soom can be somewhat erratic. Unfortunately it also doesn't save settings on system reboot. What did you use to stream the app? Or did you use Windows 11, which afaik can actually play android apps natively? I intended to do something similar in the future. But I didn't even know the app existed and wanted to use the Computer game from the 90s, using my old Board Game as a "Map", as you only get a tiny snipped presented in the game at any time.
Thanks for the comment. Yep, running 920s, I do wish the one over the table focussed better. I use OBS to gather and record the camera inputs and the Ipad feed. I'm using Mac's Monterey OS.
On the Google Play store, the app's showing as not available for any of my android devices. Got a Samsung Galaxy phone and a Lenovo tablet, so you'd think they'd be able to run it. Maybe it's cos I'm in the UK. Gutted I haven't been able to play this solo, as covid's making it much harder to meet with friends :(
The reason you did only have 2 dice is that you took the shortsword (2D) not the Broadsword 3D) yes, the sword card you took was short and that becomes the Primary, Next time leave it. If you have another hero you could give it to them.
I didn't ever play the old HeroQuest but I believe the new edition does have some minor rule changes. I suspect the answer is yes but expect some oddities.
Five attacks would sure make the barbarian more effective. Would that mean the Dwarf and Elf would get 4 each (2+2)? Seems the game would get too easy. I have been playing three attacks for the barbarian since this video.

It's compatible with Samsung Galaxy 9 and higher.

The app allows you to play without a gamemaster. But I learned its very difficult unless play more than one character.
You definitely need to use 4 hero's.

Yes. The American and UK editions had different maps and rules though, so the original UK version is not compatible with the app.

That’s got to be a typo in the app. Even the broadsword card says 3 dice.
So this app can be used with and without the board game?
You would still need the cards from the game for treasure, equipment, spells, artifacts, etc.

I run on a Iphone or Ipad, so the app is in the App store. But I understand it is also available for Android related products.

HeroQuest the companion app for the game is available. Just checked and it still works on my Apple devices.

It's supposed to be creepy. The game is about exploring dungeons filled with monsters and traps.
