This looks absolutely AMAZING! The potential of a program like this is utterly limitless, it's the board game companion we all deserved in the first place. It could easily replace the official app which is an insulting mess of game breaking bugs and basic mistakes.
@@houldenc22 what? Hasbro actually SUPPORT their app?! 🤣 I'm playing (or attempting to) on version 2.0. They can't even get the mind points right for the Rogue who can't move through monsters even with magic or items. Dread magic doesn't work right, there are bugs which end the game completely and Spirit Queen's Torment isn't even on there. Neither is the Dread Moon portrait of the knight; and dead party members can't be replaced by different classes. It's an amateurish mess which is unfit for purpose, I'll help out with hQuestMaster if I can, it looks like just the thing the community needs 😁

I’m instantly thinking of ways to broadcast this to my friends over discord etc so we can play together remotely. This app has so much play engagement potential to it’s wild to me. I’ve never been more motivated to learn a programming language!! (I have zero ability in that area so this could get interesting 😂)
Hi! I contributed to write the QuestDown documentation. I don't think you really need to learn programming. For most uses you just can copy-paste some what's written in other Quests (there are some already provided that can be used as template). And we are happy to support and give help to keep the project grow.😊
Good to see this creator giving props to the other one for building maps. With it being web based, it could be quite useful regardless where you are at. I do wonder with the ability selection option for any of the expansion characters if the developer decided to drop them all into one area while initially creating that code and has yet to make the individual options for each character and move everything. It would be interesting to see if you can have two of the same hero, which I know would be more of a home brew rule, on this site.
There was a fan made PC isometric version of Heroquest which was actually really good graphics wise - I came across it a few years ago but it's been around for a lot longer. I think the creator name was Lurchbrick.
Confirmed! I helped in writing the QuestDown documentation and wrote the Quest displayed by Ash. The behaviour sometimes in the quest shown is suboptimal because it was meant to be a showcase of all the possibilities you have QuestDown. You can have a message displayed just once, repeated many times, or displayed until a condition is met (for example, after all monsters in a room are killed). QuestDown is incredibly flexible for this.
every player could refer to the actions being done on screen, or you could hide the screen as Zargon and place the minis as you wished onto the board. It would seem you can't "be" zargon, so no controlling the monsters or their actions in the app. But then, if you want to be Zargon, you won't need this -- just a copy of the hQuestBuilder (or other app)'s quest.

Yeah the ai is already better the the offioapp as every monster tanks the barbarian lol
