My friends Dad has made such great friends through gaming. His headset broke and a gaming friend from the other side of the world bought him a new one 🙂 it was so sweet.
my generation made some really good friends back then :) we are still connected through facebook, since we live all over the world :)

People can be so toxic in the gaming world but on the flip side, the most wholesome generous people I've ever come across in my life were from the gaming community.
A little over a year ago I was between jobs and a gaming friend sent me 4 controllers, 9 charging cords, and a new Xbox. Months later he fell on some hard times so I sent him a few hundred in cash. Neither of us asked the other for the items.

This episode was cool because it actually showed the real difference between true RPG players and assholes just looking to grind for the next showoff item. This is why most of us true RPG enthusiasts have went to co-op or single player RPGs like Divinity Original Sin 2, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Pillars of Eternity 2, Grim Dawn, etc. I was an avid Guild Wars 1 player and haven't found a good MMORPG since. I used to enjoy multiplayer first person shooters back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but the entire franchise was butchered when CoD and BF became a thing. These days just give me a good single player RPG or a good platformer like Ori and the Will of the Wisps and I'm happy.

lol. A healer and a tank who hate each other but never stop questing and going through dungeons together. They constantly complain, put each other down and mess with each other the whole time, but never care to stop playing together.
Also, they should never think to shut off "Shout" mode, so all the other players actively hate them and neither understands why.

I didn't play classic, but the I was there for the glory days of TBC and Wrath. I have.. mixed feelings regarding LFG. Those times were certainly different, and LFG changed the culture of the game (and the game itself) quite a bit.. but good god I don't miss standing around for hours waiting for people to actually do something.

@@eno2870 I do. I rather wait for people and speak with them first, than just be thrown in with inept randoms. Even if it wasn't always fun, the way it worked pretty much forced communication which was definitely beneficial.

Laying off over a thousand employees (before and after announcing a record breaking profit year), insulting fans, selling out ethics for mobile marketing mechanics. Pissing on the trust of fans for fast easy profit... I like the channel but Id have been happier with the skit if it wasn't tainted by blizzard.

@@mclera8566 Oh sry I didnt see that you typed "NON classic" lol. Well retail wow has a lot of fast travel options now a days in the form of portals, hearthstones ect. In classic/vanilla you always had to walk yourself, use unlocked flightpats or the different types of boats ann zeppelins. Now theres a portal to all the cities everywhere, if you wanna do dungeons u teleport to them with dungeonfinder and same with pvp.
Im used to Alan and Adam being the nice guys. Whenever its Rowan or Ben, they make my heart melt
rowan have a few episodes as a nice guy when he's gaming with a life outside of the game (like when he teach his girlfriend how to play or when he's late for a raid because of his job) and they are realy nice episodes indeed !

I come back to watch this everyone in awhile. It just feels so magical. The moment they realize they know each other and the music starts, the sunlight shimmering through the tree's behind them, the other people walking around giving it that mmo feeling.

This actually happened to me a couple of weeks ago and lemme tell you....it's one of the most amazing and heart-warming things to happen to a gamer. Especially when you are often looking through your own old friends list where most of them are "Last Online 4 years ago" or "Last Online 6 months ago".

Reminds me of how I felt when i was finally able to up grade my PS3 to a PS4 for about two years I watched my friend list slowly go dark as everyone's else got fours
as a former EverQuest addict I still think about the raids and general good times I had with my guildmates nearly 20 years later.
As a former Diablo 2 player from 2000 to 2002, I often think back about the people I met. I was an expert at Druid, which was the least-played class. The cool thing was that a small community developed around Druids at diabloii.net, and we learned a lot about each other through gaming. I'd happily talk to those people again if I could.

Adrirenn You have to pay 15 bucks a month but classic is NOT p2w, it’s very grindy but leveling is actually a satisfying experience where you feel like you earned it. And the lore is bomb af, I recommend watching a playthrough of or reading about Warcraft 3 since it’s a great introduction to the universe. The graphics are obviously terrible tho since it came out 15 years ago :)

@@EwetoobSucks The actress playing SilentKiller22 is Gwendoline Taylor who was in Spartacus, as well as having loads of behind the camera roles in numerous TV productions including the Brokenwood Mysteries. I guess she's been too busy to appear in further skits which is a shame, because she captured the feeling here impeccably and the chemistry with Ben was perfect.
She did get a short cameo as "Female Adventurer" (TurtleRose311) in the opening scene of Baelin's Route...

That's just about every MMORPG. I usually get tired of it quickly and try to play match maker so that they shut up lol. Same with trials (raids) in Elder Scrolls Online: "Need 6 dps for..." And on queue: DPS1: "DPS LFG", DPS2: "LFG", DPS3: "LFG". Every time.
Incredibly wholesome, it is always nice to play with old friends again.

This reminds me of old guild mates I used to play WoW with and talk with over the phone back in the vanilla WoW days. Been hoping to run into them in a game. It's happened once so far. They went by Healix and Pringle. I was playing another MMO and randomly ran by a character named Healix and called out in general chat and it was her! Traded numbers and she had Pringles number too! I had lost their numbers when my previous phone broke years before. Just my luck, that new phone I put their numbers into again, broke the next day! It's been years now! So maybe one of them will see this and reply? I can only hope!
If you want to like this comment, maybe I'll be a top comment and maybe they see this and maybe I can reconnect with old friends! If not, then oh well. Hopefully one day I'll run into them again.
