i knew you were in canada but geez bud
Your a trammy dick now! Oh my goodness
Man i haven't seen you since "the farm" days good to see you still working Awesome to see your channel !!
@@mattmopar440 much obliged
I ain’t ever saw a good looking one myself 🤣
Luke? It's Jacob. And I am once again thanking you for giving us the Silverado
That Luke guy sounds like a swell guy 😊
😂😂
My name is Jack. I get called Jake all the time.
@@jaktheapprentice1023mine is AJ and I get called Adrian.
My name is Martin and people always call me Larry… jk😂. But I do get called Mark a lot
I haven't watched pug in years but it makes my heart happy that he's still out there doing stuff💪
Same here last time I watched him he had his green fummins
So unusual to hear pug speaking like an almost normal human
😂😂😂 it's so true. Pugizms
And another bonus of the ATF in the fuel tank is that when you're scolded for using the cherry flavor fuel you just say its the ATF you added to lube the pump 😎
Lmao came to say the exact same thing
I've always done that in my trucks, I put some in everytime I fill up at the pump.
@@derek5333it's a great idea and great insurance against the loss of a very expensive pump.
One of the things I love about your channel Rich, is that you show so much progress on your projects on each episode. You are a hell of a mechanic, and it's rather amazing to watch you put all your talent, and skills into each of these builds. You've got so much going on... Good on you bud.
I love that you built the truck once, and now doing it again ( even better this time ) to your ever higher evolving standards. Keeping the soul, but making it even more! 👍
I like the stab at the SEMA trucks :) Oh, and the shifter is on backwards.
Your videos are a joy to watch. I'm by no means an auto mechanic, but it's interesting to see how your mind works and how you solve problems. You deserve every follower. I'm excited to see where the Edison Motors direction goes. Thanks for the content. 🤘🏼
Man, its gonna be a great summer for you, and us to watch
I’m 74 years and not a mechanic. I’m now driving a F350 with a 6.7 Powerstroke that has 108,000 miles on it and I have always used Shell oil. The F350 has used T6 since its first oil change I do my own changes so I know for sure. I’ve never felt the need to change brands.
I have a 2017 F 250 6.7 410000 km did the first oil change always T6 in there
I'm pulling all-day every day a 8000lbs trailer
I'm very much a 'thats good enough' kind of person, so seeing builds like this that are just done clean and proper blows my mind. Gonna be one heck of a truck!
Don’t know I would have picked to paint a Cummins engine white, but still who could not like a P-pump 24 valve! I’m so jealous even though my P- pump 12 valve is great. Good job Rich
9:57 That Dodge cab over dump truck is definitely worth a 2nd look!
Definitely!
And the guy has the perfect cummins 24v transplant in that white cabover
Haven't seen one of those for years. Please start a whole new thread on rebuilding that beauty!!!
Love pug1 and his son gymnasium, couple of solid dudes. So good to see him doing collabs with likeminded people!!
Great to see DeBoss creeping up on 750k!
Excellent work as always, love this channel.
I FREAKEN LOVE IT! Your channel is so pro looking that I want vids faster and more keep up the good work.
Love the old dodge trucks but you’re absolutely right about all the noises. I had a 79 power wagon that I spent 5 years fully restoring and the amount of time spent just getting everything fitting tightly and getting rid of all the rattles and noises and window and door whistles was ridiculous. All original body panels on a nice old truck and getting the gaps right was near impossible as well, I don’t think they ever fit together totally right.
Very keen to welcome you to South Africa 🇿🇦
that thing sounds nasty. Can't wait to see it putting in work!
This is the truck that got me hooked in this channel.
I was down stairs tonight watching thing while working on my fully rebuilt brute force 750 that I used your 650 rebuild video to guide me rebuilding the motor haha
Finally!! I've been waiting to see more work on this project. Love the GMT 800s
Luke, seeing your pain, I finally went out and put my refurbished headlights in my 2002 F150 super crew, nothing aligned, three bloody fingers later installed! Thank you for your inspiration.
Glad to see regular project back..
Finally I've been waiting for another episode on this build!
I’d love to see this as 20 different 10 minute videos with regular updates- love the Silverado/Tahoe style and as peojecta
I was waiting patiently for this video. Thank you! I look forward to the next one on this truck. I want to see the finished Silverado back in action!! This IS inspiring to us average Joes 😊
Happy to see this project making so much progress. Congratulations and thanks for sharing your work.
So happy to see this truck!
Cool of you to throw some work to Pug. He's a crafty character.
Your shifter is installed backwards! 😄
That original transfer case rebuild video was the one that led me to your channel many years ago. You around 20k subscribers at that time. Silverado is looking great
That old ram is AWESOME!
In wood customs!! Hell yea I used to watch puglife1 way way back!!
So awesome
Thats a hell of a built man 💪🏻
I am a Luke who is very excited to finally have time to sit down and watch this episode!
I watched all the ads for this. 👍
So awesome great work as always!!
Living so close Nashville here in Tennessee it's always nice to hear music mentioning us from so far away.
It sounds so good and unique 😮
Nice work!!!!
Very KOOL Rich Sounds Good
I just put an nv4500 in my 2000 gmc, i highly recommend extending the vent line forwards further, with it being ok the shift tower i get some oil smells on the highway, extended to vent and no further issue
Awesome truck, excellent project vision and workmanship. Very inspiring! Thanks!
That's a ton of with. Well done Rich. Have a great right in Africa
Your whine when you started this one was great. Can't be topped.
Finally a Chevy silverrodo thank you nice truck buddy .
That’s a cool engine primer. Great job on the build.
That motivational speech @24:00 is just what I needed, Rich. I have an oil leak on a fresh engine build and it's disheartening tearing everything apart again to fix it. But i'll get done if i keep at it. You're an inspiration.
Make sure your vents are open before you do that!
@@DEBOSSGARAGE if you mean breathers I have new PCV on the thing. I tore it down anyway and found the tiniest little gap between seal and crankshaft. Must not have aligned the seal / cover properly.
Love your vids 👌
The truck of my dreams! Don’t know why GM doesn’t get away from Duramax.
I could smell the first start 😂
The silverado is coming along nicely, gonna be sweet when it's all done up. I finally got to my shop, outside, to work on my old volvo. The V8 is in, wired up and should be ready to fire up. I'm excited but not excited for making an exhaust or shortening the drive shaft haha.
Been waiting for this haha.
10:08 Oh Dixk, the good stuff! You bes'sent!
Sweet brother!!
No lookin at his good stuff!. Ol Tiffawards showing the hospitality! Smoke cigrits! bmp
On board air on a truck is almost a must, even if it’s just a smaller electric unit. Being able to at least pump a tire up and get home is worth the money 👍
Guessing you went double disk clutch? Sorry if I missed that mention. Anyways if so you have to put a spacer on the started to accommodate the flywheel.
“It’s red because i put that ATF in the there” 😂😂😂I believe you but still funny
It is ok to give yourself the small victories... motivation comes in all forms.
That’s a cool build
We have all been missing that intro
You’re the man!
Finally the cummins silverado
Every time I walk by my truck I hear "But I wanna a bus engine". It's like an ear worm now.
JMO but I would highly recommend you add a Fluidampr to this build.
I have a stock 5.9L in my Gen 3 and noticed a significant difference between the OEM balancer and the Fluidampr unit.
She spins up faster than before and there is less vibration at higher RPM's.
The build is looking great so far.....love all the variety in the channel.
So happy you collaborate with 1puglife. He is an amazing guy. I've been following him for years.
Hell yeah
Give us a shout when you get to Namibia, would love to meet you!
White was a good choice for the engine, it really suits it well !
One pug life dot caaaam!
Shifters on backwards ❤️
Finally!
If you get a cheap pressure pot spray paint setup from Harbor Freight/Princess Auto, you can use that for a pressure primer and it holds a lot more oil and can handle 40 psi pressure. That's how I primed all of my LS motors.
I’m not sure what tail shaft housing that you are using but I had on in my dodge that kept breaking I found that they make a case iron one to replace the aluminum one.
I came to comment that something is backwards, and it not the shifter. When pouring oil from a 5 gallon pail spin it 180* so that the spout is at the top of the bucket not the bottom, then you won’t spill oil all down the side of the bucket.
Or just have the spout down and the vent open ...
If you a full 5 gallon pail of oil and you do it the way I suggested (spout up and vent closed) it won’t drip down the side of the spout, then on to the lid then onto what ever is below, like a freshly painted engine. Spout down vent up works, just guaranteed you spill some oil.
❤ Pug1! Pug was jumping rvs on youtube when Deboss was still in diapers
Hey Rich, could you do a "everything wrong with a NV4500" video or comment on its reliability?
Is that the guy that used to jump lawn mowers!?!
600hp motor sounds great..hopin u woulda mount the cab too, butt it sounds great..
I've been watching Pug for over 10 years as a guilty-pleasure. He's been making daily, bi-daily, sometimes twice a week vids as he can, but he really deserves more viewership than what he has for what he does. I'm very glad he's finally getting collabs from bigger channels than his and I can only hope it drives his subscriber count up. A lot of his videos can be pretty boring and he's gotten a lot of flack in the past for silly decisions he's made, but you live and learn.
A lot of flack that is still well deserved to this day.
He's like that drunk uncle that shows up, you're nice to him but in the back of your head you're thinking oh fuck he's here.
i would buy that any day of the week
I guess if it's an engine out of a school bus you now can call your truck a "Chevy Yellowrado". 😁🤟
T6 OIL.....On an 04 Ram 2500 w/5 9 original engine 375k.. runs great min blow by... would you recommend ? Had it a year so far....
Thanks
ATF is nice it helps hide the dyed fuel too cause it’s all dyed then 😜
When did the coolant part for #6 come on the market. Seems I've heard of the problem for a while but this is the first fix for it. Does this engine have the pinned set up for the crank or does it have a keyway? This is a heck of a build, can't wait to see it moving. Always a good video.
Gotta love a mechanical 24 valve
I just installed a Tremec Tr-4050 in my Dodge 4x4- it is a very nice upgrade from an nv4500. Maybe you can work with Silver Sport Transmission to get one for your channel.
Shifter is on backwards 😂😂
ATF doesn't provide hardly any lubrication to the fuel. If you want to add lubricity to the fuel, TCW-3 synthetic two stroke oil is superior. If you mix it with Power Service in the gray bottle it will be 1000% more lubricated. There is a good chart with test results of different fuel lubricants that I would be more than willing to send.
I put a raptor fuel pump for a p7100. And they recommended 25-30 psi. And that's for a stock setup. You might also want to replace your ofv valve with a tork tek ofv050hp
Getter Duuuun
Wait a minute, would it be even more efficient to intercooler the charge air going from the first turbo into the second turbo too?
ATF as a lubricant? What do I know? My understanding is ATF doesn't foam as easily and is less temperature sensitive.
I am not a fluids specialist. I like the builds. Thanks for turning us on to Bo the drifter.
This is probably a dumb question but i havent been watching all the build videos, what is he gonna use the air compressor on the engine if not for air brakes? Helper air bags?
God bless brother
How many liters oil in the bus pan and in the dodge pan?
