WHO AGREES THAT JAPAN HAS THE BEST CONVENIENCE STORES????? Super love this soo much!!! I miss Japan's 7-11!
Yes I agree, and I think South Korea has great convenience stores too
@@conspiracionesy Taiwan has some nice ones too but I still think Japan wins!
Totally agreed with you guys. Lawson, Family Mart, 7 Eleven in Japan are the best (maybe in the world). 7 Elevens in Singapore are borderline OK (manageable) but Japan's 7-11s are the best. Been to 7-11s in Taiwan, USA, Malaysia, HK, Germany (very few) ...and they are good but again.. Japan's is still the best. No question about it.
I think it probably also has to do with 7-11 originally being a Japanese store before opening up in America back then. Least from what I remember
@@danmecha 7-11 In South Korea kind of sucks. Primarily for the lack of Slurpee's. I found myself going to the GS stores. McDonalds was actually pretty decent. Especially the Shanghai Spice chicken sandwich. The best was the Dutch Frico at Lotteria.
Mike's reunion with the egg sandwich was so wholesome.
I've been studying as an international student in Japan for a while now, and actually being able to physically acquire the food showcased in one of these videos is surreal.
Is it as good as it looks?
@@niamhcullen4377 For convenience store food, it is actually incredible. Mapo tofu in particular, most of the bento type items there in fact are super tasty, and unless you're accustomed to asian convenience stores you wouldn't beileve it's stuff you pick up at a 7-11
“I try not to overdo it at dinner” IM SORRY WHAT! Mike eats enough for like 5 people at dinner. Own it Mike! 😂
@@suesue983No, he's just eating too much😂
I knew you would go back to Japan as soon as they allowed foreigners to come back and you didn't disappoint~ Can't wait to see where you would take us, and also hoping to go back there myself in near future! 🤩
These 7 Eleven type videos are among my favorites.
Congratulations you have been selected among the lucky winners🎊🎊
One of my bucket list! 😭 I always visit 711 every time I go abroad and hoping to visit 711 in Japan too, thanks for the tour! 💕
Ok
The food in the Japanese 711 is just on another level.. it all looks pretty delicious to me . Great video Mikey❤❤
As I got older and diagnosed with (high blood pressure), I've learned to watch the sodium. Man did Mike intake a load of them. Be careful on the consumption, running alone won't save you.💯
@suesue983 lol, are you being sarcastic? 😆 He doesn't look unhealthy at all to me.
So cool to see you back in Japan. Thank you for starting the tour with a binge trip to 7-11!
For a moment I felt sad to not be seeing Mike in Singapore, and then bam... this food glory just took over. Jealous of the eats in this episode! Japan knows what's up.
YESSS so looking forward to all the Japan videos now!
Fr I wish we had more stuff like this in rest stops in texas
So awesome running into you at the Tsukiji market! Thanks again for stopping to take a pic with the wife and I. We love your videos keep up the awesome work my mans!
Japan videos are my absolute favorite
That pizza looks a 1,000% better than any brand frozen pizza here in Brazil, some of then look so bad they even appeared on the news... 😳😫
Years ago (about 1997), buddy of mine told that what made “7-Japan” so good is that they avoid putting preservatives in their food. And that egg sandwich is incomparable!!
Doubt that's the only thing lol. The quality of the ingredients themselves are on a whole nother atmosphere than Western 7-11.
I just want to go to Tokyo to eat from 7 Eleven. The ones we have in Denmark is not that good at all, these in Tokyo looks so freaking amazing.
AG1 is great if you live in the US I'm sure. But I live in Australia and for people who actually live close by to where it's made, we get screwed pretty hard. The HQ and where they sell from is actually in Delaware I believe. So if someone from Australia or NZ wants to buy this 'NZ' product. It's actually USD not AUD. By the time you take into account shipping costs of sending it there and back plus the exchange rate. It's like $150 AUD a month. Plus the whole proprietary blend things makes me not particularly trustworthy of them. They have this massive ingredient list, but don't actually disclose amounts to you. So there's a good chance there is a number of ingredients that are are in such small quantities, you're not actually getting any benefit from it, but that way they get to throw it in their ingredient list and show it off.
Thanks for this
Next time you go to Japan. They will have Premium Diamond products or Premium Platinum products. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🇯🇵
Or even better.. Premium PREMIUM products. 😌
sooo happy you’re back in Japan!! Planning my trip there for next year so really hoping to get even more recommendations for the best food spots 😍
I remember a time when Mikey was apprehensive about eating raw fish eggs (though they're salt-cured). Now he doesn't hesitate to grab some mentaiko fish eggs. Good thing broadening your palate. 👍
@AbsoluteAnarchy wdym mans just appreciating Mike's palate
@@absoluteanarchy3031Not even close, you are insane
@@absoluteanarchy3031 Remembering a small comment he made in a video or his consistency in expressing his changing opinions on food in his content isn’t weird, it’s having brain capacity. I’m not sure what’s wrong with you, but I do hope you get better, very unhealthy mindset.
@AbsoluteAnarchy There are millions of subscribers who follow and are a “fan of” his and watch almost every video he posts because they find them interesting. It isn’t hard to then find out what someone prefers to eat and leave out simply because everything is food related. That is not stalker mentality.. People enjoy watching his content and remember his comments.
Mikey's like a child in a candy store, whenever he visits a 711 store.
this I completely agree and he always goes overboard buying stuff
He has a binge eating disorder clearly
@pineapplepetcorneats well he makes a shit ton from you the viewers.
If you have been in a proper Asian convenience store/hypermarket, you understand.
@@SatieSatie I suppose you are right.
Heyy!! As someone who truly enjoys your content I can tell that you have a soft spot for instant food. Seeing as how often you do instant noodles.
Well, I got one for you...
Can you do one on comparing all the different frozen mandoo/gyoza/dumplings? They're everywhere at practically all Asian stores, like H Mart, Uwajimaya, etc.
I gasped with excitement when I saw Mikey was back in Japan! So happy for him!! I was thinking it would be easy for him to hop over from Singapore! Super excited for more videos to come!
Does Mr. Chen record himself 24/7? Is Mr. Chen living the Asian version of The Truman Show?
Bro if these 7 eleven foods tastes good, imagine 5-star restaurants in Japan
Have waited 3 years for Mike to be back in Japan. Let the videos begin.
21:45 good to know.
Hey Mike 👋🏼...I can't wait to get my first order of Japanese snacks crate. You inspired me and my love for food/snacks from the places where I would like to go someday. Thank you for the inspiration. Keep traveling please!☆☆..your number one fan!😇💫💯
Watching you shop and I screamed out loud “omg Mikey” 🤣
Hahahahaha, sounds funny tho’ and where are you viewing from ?
I'm curious about this kind of instant noodles, glad you shared
Welcome back to Japan! You always make 7 Eleven food look so delicious; you make me want to try them.
I’ll probably be saying this for the rest of my life…. I’m so jealous of everything the Japanese have… ESPECIALLY the convenience stores. If I could spend only one day in japan it would be me hitting up every convenience store I can find and eating everything I could.
Then find a way to spend time there. Learn the language a little, apply for a job. They are looking for a lot of workers. Prepare for a year and you can live there for 6 months to a year. Really not as hard as people think.
@@joejohnson8966 thats what I'm planning to do this year. Its always been my dream to travel to Japan but never really set clear goals and action to get there. I'm gonna save up this year and take my aging father to see the world out there.. He's my motivation. Planning for Japan trip 2023 in November.
@@earlybirdh.a6294 My man. I pray everything goes amazing. Much love.
I see how Mikey stays in shape, he Carrie’s all that 711 home😂
he is living all our fantasies of being extremely hungry, going to a convenience store and picking all the foods you crave and being able to finish it all without wasting the food
I remember feeling sad watching his last Japan video during the start of the pandemic when he had to leave. Now seeing Mike back in Japan, just feels right.
I'm going on a kinda budget solo trip to Tokyo Japan sometime in May (I like the budget aspect of this trip). I'll be staying at a Kaikatsu Club, and I like the idea of having breakfast at a 7-Eleven. (Rice Balls, and Egg, some chocolate milk) Then at lunch I'll eat at a ramen place, then for Dinner I'll get one of those discounted dinner meals, and some pudding, and other deserts. My God, this is gonna be fun. And not to mention. The many other options at 7-Eleven. (Or simply the discount meals will be my 4th meal. Yeah, I think I'm eating 4 times during my trip.) Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Midnight. Breakfast + Midnight Meal from 7-Eleven, and Lunch + Dinner at restaurants. 50/50
I love watching Mike eat in Japan! :D its so fun and they have the best foood!
So happy to have some Japan videos back 🎉
How you deal with the sodium overload every day??
Keep doing convenient store foods micky. Absolutely love them.
Glad you’re back in Japan! Looking forward to ramen and yakitori videos.
I can’t believe I’m halfway thru the episode and he hasn’t said umami once lol
Yes finally Mike is back in Japan!
So happy to see you back in Japan and doing content there again! I always wanted to go back after my first time there!
Welcome to Japan Mike! Happy to see you eating here again.
Winter is good time for hot pot and seafood and ...... so on🤭
Please enjoy your stay!
Please try Seico Mart if you can found one! It’s a Hokkaido’s staple convenient store. It’s pretty cheap compared to other brand but that’s mostly because they sell local product and how they are the service of local communities more.
Food and deserts wise I recommend Seico mart better. Try their Soft Cream Hokkaido, the best!
Hello Grace, where are you viewing from ?
Glad you were able to come back to the convenience store of your dreams 😂 also I appreciate your videos cus now I have more context (as a picky eater) for what I would definitely try when I hit the local 7
❤ Love Ramen! Thanks for sharing. This video makes me so hungry.❤
I was just planning to eat lunch when I found this video, I love your videos Mike Chen ♥️
Love the noodles series, thanks bruv
I KNEW it, I have been waiting for you to go back to Japan since they re-opened. That just shows how much content in your queue...like 7 weeks of Singapore content a few times a week.
The proglem is that sparkling water is a sin against humanity
Mike, you're supposed to remove the topping from the upper tray into the bottom layer before microwaving, JFYI.
Im so happy to see you back in japan! I knew it wouldn’t be long since the borders opened up again :) can’t wait to see the next videos
What a good way to start the day, Happy Thanksgiving Mike
Really excited that your back in Japan been watching your Japan videos to hype myself for my move to Japan next year
After watching I raced to my local 7-11 to try these items. I was promptly laughed at realized I was in California.
Let’s go your back in Japan for the first time in years!
Loving these travel videos. Hopefully when you are done traveling, ya can do another dumpling or ramen ranking tasting video
This video brought to you by 7-11 gold😂
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
I love 7-11 videos, more relatable since I can't really afford expensive restaurant foods haha
I love you man, when I have trouble sleeping or I’m looking to vibe out, I put your videos on and they are perfect!
Always in awe of how much you can eat in one sitting and still enjoy every bite!
This is nice! Especially if you’re traveling and you’re main focus isn’t spending a lot on food. Everything looks delicious! Thank you for sharing
IM EARLY!!!!! Your videos make my day! Love to see how you explore and try all the foods possible! I can’t wait till I travel to Japan one day! Keep up the amazing content! 🤘🏼
I remember when you wouldn't drink coffee. For me, coffee ice cream was my gateway to drinking coffee. Coffee jelly with condensed milk is yummy - I had it at a local Japanese restaurant here in Canada.
I used to watch your videos in Japan, but now I’m living in Ireland.
Great to see your Japan’s videos here in Dublin:)
I like how Mike mixed different food together and acts like he cured cancer when he tastes it😂😂
Japan vlogs are everywhere after the border opens and Mikey Chen the OG will not be left behind.
Love this video, thank you mikey!you are amazing! your videos are everything!!!
I’m glad that Mickie said he has a jog and watches the quantity of food he has in the evening...I’ve always wondered how the heck he keeps trim with all the food he packs away.
He works out a lot.
In some of his older videos you can see him in the gym etc.
More briny, more seafoody, more pully.. edit: wth, “dissolve-ier”?!
@@alexthai5223 who’s that?
The first video of yours I ever watched was a 7Eleven in Japan video, years ago. So fun to see you at it again 🤗
Just received your extra hot garlic chili oil. Absolutely AMAZING. I highly recommend it. So good.
Thank you for the video! They always make me hungry.
I miss the 7Elevens in Japan. I live in Australia where the 7Elevens here are nothing to write home about.
Congratulations you have been selected among the lucky winners🎊🎊
I was just there a few days ago and I'm already missing the food! 7-11 and Family Mart fed me most of the time I was there and I finally understood what all the hype was around 7-11's egg salad sandwich!
I'm so addicted to instant noodles thanks to this channel! Lol
Looking forward for you to travel to Osaka and Kyoto where I plan to go next year
When are you leaving for travel, would love too make friends with you and go on travel with you as well if you don’t mind.
The king of food combos.
Mike never fails to make us hungry lol.
Finally! Mikey is back in Japan!!
I like how Mike forgot that he had the ippudo noodles. There's another video of him eating this with other 7/11 foods. 🤩
You should eat the chimpo behind the 7-Eleven. Uh-mazing!
"Dissolvier" Strictly Dumpling 2022
Never seen anyone enjoy 7-11 food so much i wana go down and buy something right now.
the chasu at end looks actually amazing
So glad you're back in a country that I can ask somewhat connect to even if it is in Canada lol. Can't wait to see you in New york! Prices please!
It's amazing that one of the things I miss the most from being in Japan is the good food from the 7-Elevens. Living in Cali, it's one of those things that just stands out so strongly as being missing.
mike you have to work on cameras...
that mobile camera shot ruins all of that🥺
Welcome back to Japan Mikey san! Hope you enjoyed your stay.
16:45, if the rice was noodles and the cheese inside the steak was an egg yolk, then Mikey would have recreated a dish from shoukugeki no soma/food wars using 7 11 food, which would have been awesome 😎😎
Glad to see you back there! Food looks good as always. Heading there in a few days after 3 years I cannot wait to hit up the 7/11!
Welcome to Japan Mikey! I rushed to 7-11 right after I finished watching this video lol That pizza and Tomita tsukemen are 2 of my top favorites.
Hello Tina, where are you viewing from ?
@@charlesdaniel353 Probably in Japan
Can I have your email address, I will love too come to Japan.
Yeahhhh 7-11 series back love this series
any fish dish in japan looks 100%tasty
Was just there from 16th to the 23rd of November, and I miss the Conbinis! The Egg Salad sandwiches were my guilty pleasure and addiction and ate those pretty much every day.
I think a 7-Eleven like this would do well in LA or New York. Maybe one day we will be blessed with such a 7-Eleven her in the United States.
I am drooling and making a list of what I need to eat when in Japan in January, It has been 3 years too long!
