I absolutely agree. But, this video was basically trying to convey that due to the modern social media life, we are more interested to try and flaunt new things instead of buying something expensive. This obviously does not imply to special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries etc where we tend to receive or gift something of a higher value. This implies to our everyday clothing trend where we get bored wearing the same outfit again and again so we try to find stuff at cheap prices. For example- The crowd in Sarojini Nagar is the prime example of this situation

Thank you for this video! It's really interesting to see how the marketing of the same brand in different regions can create different perceptions of the brand. As discussed in this video Zara originally marketed itself as an affordable brand, however in India it is still perceived as a high end one. Would be interesting to observe more such instances.

If you are starting just emphasize on the points which need to be discussed-break it down to bullet points-sort of questionnaire i.e list of all the issues which need to be discussed and what do you think are the different points to be considered for the discussion about that topic.
If you want to be the concluder, note down all the relevant points told by others during discussion which are in favour and against (best points in both) and then summarize the discussion with these points in an effective way.
That's all. You will surely be selected if you do one of these effectively. Lot of people think that just shouting too much or too much talking helps in Group discussion which is wrong. Recruiters look for these qualities - good listeners, good communicators, who have clarity in their thought as well as communication, who can lead the discussion well into a productive outcome, who can be a moderator trying to effectively conduct the discussion etc,

A very well made video with tons of info on a brand whose ways and means have largely been undocumented. The owner too is elusive and last interview given was some 30 years back. One aspect that i would have loved to see in the video is the issue of plagiarism specially in the fashion industry which still remains outside the ambit of stiff copyright laws unlike other industries like music, art and literature making it a soft target. One little talked about aspect about zaras growth has been using its legal might over designers who just lack the financial strength to fight back or the requisite production line to get their designs out on retail stores as fast as zara does using its skills and means...liked the fact that environmental impact of fast fashion has been highlighted in the video. Great going👍

Great content guys.
However something to consider here about ‘Just in time’ strategy being better than ‘just in case’ strategy is that ‘just in time’ strategy has a huge downside to it as well and can’t be applied to a lot of products/industries.
‘just in time’ can cause an issue of ‘high lead times’ in the supply chain which for many types of industries won’t work as the consumers won’t accept a higher lead time.
Zara’s strategy using a blend of both is absolutely genius though and probably the only brand in fashion industry being able execute it with success.
Just a suggestion: if possible try to attach a doc which has a summary it will be really helpful to revise all the concepts later 🙂
