Best BUDGET inflatable sleeping pad - Unigear Campfy P3 Review
Vložit
- čas přidán 6. 02. 2024
- Here is my review of the Unigear Campfy P3 sleeping pad. This could quite easily be the best budget sleeping pad on the market. This inflatable sleeping mat suits side sleepers and back sleepers thanks to the special design features of the inflatable sleeping pad. This budget sleeping pad costs just £41 and yet has a R Value of 2.
Currently just £41.99 on Amazon amzn.to/49mm92H
Description
The Camfy P3 is a quick and convenient sleeping solution for hikers with an innovative ergonomics design to evenly distribute the weight for great comfort. The upgraded 40D high-tensile nylon fabric resulting in an excellent insulation to reduce heat loss from the cold ground. Stay warm and cozy with all the quiet you needed on every journey.
Features
Provide excellent lumbar support, soft contours keep you centered on the pad and concave baffles to relax your legs
Dual unique anti-leakage valves allow for rapid and easy inflation and deflation, compatible with the included pump sack
Three-inches thickness grid weld pattern, can protect you from touching the rough ground under cold conditions.
R-value is 2, ideal for 3 seasons use; provides significant insulation from ground temperature.
Includes inflatable 2 in 1 pump and stuff sack and field repair kit
It's worth noting the design features will not suit some people. However, for most side and back sleepers, if you position yourself correctly on the mat you should find it very comfortable. In particular, you should align the lumbar part of your back correctly.

we got ours off amazon for 6 quid each on a offer, we love them extremely comfortable far better than the old style airbeds that always go flat . we've done 4 night camping trips to Wales with these and they never lose air ! best invention ever
Thanks Andy, would never have found this if it wasn't for your review, brilliant timing, I've just ordered one! Cheers!
Did you pay £41.99?
@@ColleenMcFarlane-xo9mx Yes I did, however, when I checked yesterday, the Prime deal of £41.99 was gone.
@@Mr_White_448_Bhello, are you satisfied with the product?
@@ilustradsn Yep, used it a few times now and very pleased with it. I'm a side sleeper and it was very comfortable.
Thanks Andy timing was perfect just ordered one in Green 👍 love these reviews
You can’t go wrong for £42!
Hi, Is it a good product? I’m considering this one
Watched your review yesterday, went on Amozon while watching you, ordered the pad. It arrived at 9.00 this morning. Thanks for the information, well pleased. Thanks Andy.
That’s Prime for you, can’t beat it!
do you use it regularly? how comfortable is it, does it still hold air inside well after those 5 months?
The pad is r3.5 mate, had this pad 2 years and still going no issues at all great pad.
Not on their website, it definitely says 2.
Damn, just ordered myself a new mat which arrived today ... Great review by the way.
Thanks Andy, great looking mat and a real bargain at that price. I use the Trekology UL80 with a refelctive mat underneath and it's great but doesn't have a pump sack. I'm tempted to give this a go!
Had one for a few years…great mat and fine with a bit of tyvek under
Cheers Andy. Just what I’m looking for. I’ve not heard of this brand before so will definitely check them out 👍
I note the price for the P3 on Amazon has already shot up by 50%. I hate companies that do this. 😠
If you want a bargain sleep pad get an inflateable lilo. Cost under £5 online and even cheaper in bargain shops. Super comfortable and come with a large built-in pillow which saves buying one separately.
Spend some of what you save on some good insulation for under it and it will perform brilliantly.
I've used it in -20° in Sweden and is great.
Also very easy to repair puntures.
Bought one of these off Amazon a couple of weeks ago.
For some reason mine was convex, NOT concave. As soon as you laid on it it felt like you were rolling off. The weirdest thing!
Sent it straight back and ordered the Big Agnes Rapide. It's a wonderful thing but unfortunately it was more than 3 times the price! 😂
You can never tell with these pads until you sleep on them for a night, I’m a front sleeper like you and I think that is the hardest sleeping position to find a sleeping mat for, I’ve got the Big Agnes Rapide SL and just today I’ve received my new Thermarest Neoair Xtherm NXT Max, I’m literally lying on it now on my living room floor watching this video 😅, hope this one works for me, not saying the Big Agnes doesn’t, it’s a great mat, I just wanted to try something different.
I honestly wish I was one of those guys that can sleep on their backs and are out like a light within minutes! It would be so easy to find a sleeping mat.
I feel your pain, it’s really difficult finding gear to suit front sleepers. Have a look at the Sierra Designs Cloud 20 sleeping bag. I love it!
@@BackpackingUK looks pretty decent, interesting design, might look into it a bit more, I bought the vesper 32 quilt to go with the thermarest sleeping pad, seem to go well together, although I’ll need to go and camp somewhere to fully test them out.
It says its £59.99
Hi Andy, have you ever tried any of the OEX self inflating matts? They come with R ratings which seem too good to be true for the price? Being such an OEX fan I've just presumed there's a reason you haven't used them...
Hi Andy, pad looks great but checked amazon and £60, and its looks a little different, is it the same one?
I found out that £41.99 is Prime. It depends if you have an account?
Nope, i have prime and it was definitely £60 Andy, however it clearly fluctuates as i just logged on and it was down to £44.99 so got myself one thanks for the tip. Your video must have caused the price to peak lol
Nice review
Great review, which would you suggest over the Campfy p3 vs UL80? Cheers
I'g go Camfy if side or back sleeper and UL80 if front sleeper. That's just my personal choice.
@@BackpackingUK I'm mainly a side sleeper, so that's all I need! Will grab one now off Amazon, only £42 quid! I'll use your affiliate link!
Anyone know of any sleeping mats with a small packsize?
Therm-a-rest are known for small pack sizes but they’re expensive. Most non-insulated pads pack down small too.
Hi Andy,
The little electric pump you use, what is it?
Flextail Gear. I use the Tiny Pump 2x (includes a lantern) or the Zero Pump.
Followed the link and its £59.99 not £41? 😢
I’ve check it so many times now. It’s definitely £41.99 but that might be because I’m Prime.
£41.99 is the PRIME price...
No im a prime member and its definitely £60
@@greeno6064 Bought mine for £41.99 on Prime last week, however, looks like that offer has now expired.
Clicked the link: not 41.99 but 58.41!
Are you from the UK? I just tried again and it’s £41.99. Is it because I’m Prime?
£59.99 for me and I’m in the UK.
It must be because I’ve got Prime then 🤷🏻♂️
£41.99 for me.
It must be. Its 41.99 for me too 👍@BackpackingUK
I was going to go for the Big Agnes Rapide wide regular (£130). I’m a side and front sleeper.
This unigear is the same size, nice and big! But £41.99!
Would you recommend unigear instead?
The BA is much lighter, smaller and insulating too. That’s what you’re paying for. The Unigear is well made though and certainly comfy.
@@BackpackingUK oh okay thank you maybe I’ll stick with the BA then as I want something insulating. Do you have any recommendations for sleeping bags or quilts that are good for side sleepers and more spacious - but 3 season for a UK spring / autumn. But maybe not more than £180. I’ve been searching and struggling!! Thanks in advance 😆 x
I'm a side sleeper and wasnt sleeping well even in nice Rab neutrino bag so I now put a sheet on my wide pad, and opened up my sleeping bag, zipping up to above my knees, had best sleep yet since doing that. Side sleeping is the tricky one to get right! @jazclemmie
I paid £23 for mine, 950g, built in foot pump, 10cm depth, built in pillow, built in foot pump. Pay up to £250 extra if you like … emperors clothes 😂
What's the R-Value on it?
It cost £59.99 now on Amazon
It’s less if you have a Prime account.
Excellent, unpopable, just a tad heavy
Yes, that’s the trade-off, it does weight a bit more.
I hated it....
Why?
The raised part in the middle stuck out too much and felt like i was on a ballon. I noticed the middle part of the top part was raised in the middle. But seen it was raised at the side on other pics i seen. So maybe mine was a dud one. @@Mr_White_448_B
@@darrenwright7860 Thanks, I shall look at this, only just bought mine so was curious.
