      I have the P3, will be trying it for first night tomorrow at a local campsite (I dont have a garden). In order to test a load of new gear including a Phoxx II and a DD 4x4 tarp for some trips this year. Starting Dartmoor first week July then Scottish highlands in September with anything else I can fit in between.

    1:25 If you breathe into the little squeezy bag then you'll get more condensation in the pad when it's cold, that's why a lot of people shake the bag around.

  • @penny9360
    @penny9360 Před 2 lety +1

    Great video Dan - you explained the mat really well too. I have the blue one and absolutely love it. I don't feel any need at all to spend loads of money on any high-end mat. This is high-end as far as I am concerned but for a fraction of the price. I love the way it is shaped. It really does support the bits that need it. I sleep solid on mine - so comfortable. I was so lucky and am so grateful that this was the first mat I bought. No money wasted. Just one thing on blowing it up. I always use the bag and flap it about to fill it with air and then fill the mat by squeezing the air into it. It is said that if you blow into mats/pillows it will make the inside damp due to the condensation from your breath and this will cause bacteria to build up inside and for the mat to deteriorate over time. I am not sure if you have heard that. It never takes long with the bag to be honest once you have the knack. Keep 'em coming. Love your videos :-) Thanks again.

  • @TeslasTeaParty
    @TeslasTeaParty Před 2 lety +2

    I bought mine last summer after having 2 ul80s that failed on me, I've probably used it for 60 days over that time and hasn't let me down once (excuse the pun 😁) thick, comfy and durable, and is wider than most mats so you can actually sleep with your arms by your sides if you're a back sleeper. The only cons are it isn't exactly lightweight at just under a kilo and it is a little bit time consuming deflating it and packing it away. But other than that it is a stella pad and still probably the best budget camping gear I've bought so far.

    Hi, its that time of year again when camping is back on the brain. Ive been searching for a new sleeping mat and came across your videos. I have owned the ul80 which was good but just too narrow for me so i returned and bought the ul140. Great mat, really comfortable but i hate the built in pump (just a gimmik that adds weight and harder to pack down) and i dont like the built in raised pillow. As a side / front sleeper, its hard to find a comfortable mat, is this still the best one you have found for the money? Gone up a chunk currently £59.99. Appreciate your feedback on this, cheers for your reviews.

    Would you still recommend it at the more expensive / tapered end version that's now available?

      @@englishwoodsman I had it for a couple months before I could get camping. I filled it with air the day I got it. Was very comfortable. I couldn't wait to sleep on it. Went hot tenting a couple months later and it leaks overnight. It was too late to send it back. I bought a thermarest. Love it. But it isn't as compact as the unigear.
