    In this class, we will go through the original 34 Contrology Exercises from Joseph Pilates, "Return to Life."
    These exercises are challenging and something I am working at both as a teacher and as a student. I hope you'll join me. If an exercise is new, please sit and watch first. The beauty of an On-Demand class is you can work on it, go back to it, rewind and ask me questions when they arise. There are no Olympics to train for, and there is no rush to achieve these exercises.

    Great video!! I just purchased his book. So tired of all the variations of pilates so I am getting back to basics. Love your furry baby

    Hi! Thank you for the video. Why do you use a pillow on neck pull?

      Hi Joana! The pillow helps weigh the legs down a bit, and prevents them from flying up. In the Pilates studio typically you’d slide your feet under a strap. However, it’s not necessary and doing it without the pillow will make it more challenging :)

    When I do roll ups I slide forward really far .... like my booty is getting in the way lol Any tips?

      Hi Kelly, sorry i missed this comment. I am not sure I understand, do you feel like your body literally travels forward on the mat when you roll up? I hope I can help out just need some clarification!

    Hi Kala! My neck hurts with the roll overs; am I going to far?

      Hi Nargis, likely yes! We never want to be on the neck, you should feel the weight at the back of your shoulder blades and in your arms. I would suggest, putting a chair behind you, do the exercise and rest your toes on the seat. Find a good placement on your shoulders and arms, then roll back down. The legs have something to rest on will allow you the opportunity to fine-tune your position, and once you have it, you can take away the chair! Let me know if that is helpful!
