    I got mine from Costco yesterday and used it last night to mow roughly 1/3 acre. No complaints or issues. As has been noted on other reviews (various sites) there is a slight delay when engaging the drive wheels. I didn't feel it was significant and by hitting the lever just a little earlier the mower was pulling and moving by the time the turn had been completed. Also as reported previously releasing the self propel lever slightly early a foot or so from where a person wants to end allows the wheels to be free. This in turn lets the mower be pulled back or pushed forward without issue. One additional comment is that the mower is light and can be moved sans self propel with ease. I depleted one battery and had minimal drain on the second. The less used battery was fully charged in less than 15 minutes. The mower had plenty of power even where the grass is very thick and the yard looked great.

      I've learned that if I release the grey drive handle and push it just an extra inch or two the drive seams to release better.

    Just got mine last saturday. I like the height of the handle and can be adjusted. My old gas honda was awesome but if you are 6ft or above it would make my back hurt. I had to actually turn down the self propelled speed. Felt like i was holding bavk a german shepherd at times. My wife and i love the fact we don't have to drive to find non ethanol fuel or use the additive. I have the 4a battery. It is very quiet as well.

    Just got one from Costco. They offer an 8 year battery warranty in addition to 4 years on the mower. I'm having trouble pulling the mower backwards when trimming but I guess I'll learn to live with that. I think it makes more noise than my neighbor's EGO mower. Cut quality is good.

    • @good2live225
      @good2live225  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Johnny , If you release the grey handle 1 or 2 seconds before you pull the mower backwards the drive should disengage.

      I just bought this mower from Costco. It's $750 for the exact set up at Lowes. But, to go backwards (release the drive wheels) you let off the drive (Gray handle), push the mower forward slightly. Then you can roll backwards freely. It takes some getting used to like anything else.

    • @praveenalackal
      @praveenalackal Před 2 lety

      I bought this from Costco and the Ego select cut model for $599 from lowes. Tried both and now returning the greenworks and keeping the Ego. I too expereinced the trouble while pulling the greenworks backwards as the bag flap was touching the ground. If you put bag, it may not be a problem i guess. However, i feel more comfortable and maneuvering was much easier with Ego. So im ignoring the $100 difference and keeping the Ego. The only plus i see with Greenworks over ego is the 8 year warranty if you buy from costco. In all other areas, Ego blown the Greenworks. I experienced it myself and i'm returning the Greenworks.

    • @praveenalackal
      @praveenalackal Před 2 lety +2

      @@RatishRam As i mentioned, 8 years warranty is the only plus compared to the Ego for $100 less. For the ease of manuerability, i chose Ego. Also if you notice, the Ego is much more compact when folded than greenworks.

    • @praveenalackal
      @praveenalackal Před 2 lety

      @@RatishRam Open both and try for yourself and post an unbiased opinion here on which one you chose. I just cut my think lawn and both performed almost equal although the greenworks left a a very few grass blades uncut here and there. Overall both performed well. Also Greenwork is about 6lbs heavier than Ego with just one battery. Not sure if that really matters. Another plus i noticed with Greenworks is the steel deck wheras Ego has the fiber deck.
      I still need to findout which one goes the lowest cut.

  • @PaulStregevsky
    @PaulStregevsky Před 2 lety +5

    I just bought toe 60V version of your Gen. 2 mower. As I understand it, the "high-lift" spare blade that came with your mower will improve mulching; it won't just improve bagging. This blade is almost impossible to buy on the aftermarket; it's out of stock more than it's in stock. I'm saving mine for leaf season.
    Without Turbo, the highest speed is 2800 rpm. With Turbo, a steady 3200 rpm. I haven't stalled out since I began using Turbo full-time.
    If you plan to buy a lot of Greenworks tools, the 60 volt may make more sense because the 60-volt line is more extensive and cutting-edge. But if you plan to buy only the mower and maybe one or two other tools, the 80V mower is a better value because the batteries cost less per watt-hour.

      Yes, the "tab" that locks them in place are located in the same place. So if I put the 4ah into the blower it would stick out a couple inches but it would be locked in. Using a 2ah on a 4ah tool the battery would be reset a bit but would lock in as well.

They sent a part for a Sun Joe mower which was way too big. "NO PARTS AVAILABLE" they told me. PARTS HAVE 90 DAY WARRANTY!!! Even though the documentation says 4 years. I had Home Depot pick it up and received an immediate full refund. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM GREENWORKS PRO. You have been warned.

    Hello Good2live,
    Thank you for your inquiry. Part #C3200773-00 is unavailable for purchase right now as we don't sell many high-lift blades on their own as of now. Sometimes there are different part numbers associated with one part but as long as the symbols match up on the blade and blade holder (fan on mower). The symbols would be either a full circle, half circle, or 2 arrow-like symbols."
