  • Welcome to another Captain Cooper video!
    Airline: American
    Aircraft: Boeing 737 823NG (0.7 years old from recording date)
    Route: DFW-ATL
    Seat: 7A (Bulkhead)
    Flight Time: 1 hour 59 minutes
    Aircraft Reg: N337PJ (Red wing Tipped)
    On my final leg of my 4 flight round trip, I'll be on one of the more recent 737's American has had delivered and one of the 10 planes in the fleet to have these red stripes painted on their wing tips. Although I'd prefer to be on the Super 80, I did enjoy really enjoy this flight.
    It did take a while for boarding to finish and the air-con wasn't on during boarding as well so it was hot as balls in there. The personal air-con nozzles you get barely blow out any air either compared to most other planes out there which sucked bit other than that it was a really nice looking airplane. The seats weren't too bad either. Were they the most comfortable, no but most new planes out there don't have very comfortable seats.
    The seat i was in gave a really cool view of the engines so if you want to hear and see those CFM56's, then sit in 7A. The mood lighting for the Boeing Sky Interior was phenomenal. Really gave a calm and soothing feel to the plane. A very cool feature. I just wish Delta would actually use their mood lighting for more than 5 minutes a flight. Not much else to say about the flight. Crew was great and and friendly. I just sat down and watched Blade Runner all the way to ATL.

    Great video, American Airlines is my favorite airline in the U.S.

    Great video my friend! The 738 is one of my least favorite types of equipment to fly on. This looked liked a good flight though!

      Skylite Productions why is it your least favorite?

      In short. Passenger comfort. Personally I think the whole 737 line of aircraft are some of the most uncomfortable aircraft flying today. I know a lot of it depends on the way the airline in question has configured the aircraft, but I've flown on a lot of different airlines and the 737s are always cramped. Plus, the fuselage on the 737s is about 7 inches narrower than the equivalent Airbus offerings. 7 inches doesn't sound like much, but when you add that across the row of seats that means each seat on a A320 series aircraft has about 1 inch more space. I don't necessarily dislike them. They just aren't my favorite.

      Skylite Productions well that makes sense, I've only flown the American Airlines 737 so have no idea how that stacks up against other airlines and I found it better than an A321 personally haha

      See and I prefer the A321s on American over the 737s. I suppose a lot of it boils down to personal preference. In the end I wouldn't pass up a flight on either of them.

      Thanks mate glad you liked! I prefer to fly on them over the airbus's any day so i didn't mind it too much. Thanks for watching!

    I remember when the Navy started getting 737 to replace the old dog DC9. It was like moving up from a grocery store buggy to a yacht haha. They where pretty nice! Also could fly non stop from Virginia Beach to El Centro California which was another plus

    @tyhammond6114 Před 6 lety +2

    I like the 737 more than the A321 personally. I'm a bigger guy so the seats and leg room just seem better to me though. But I've never actually looked up the specs so not sure if it's true haha. Also who makes the CFM engine??

    • @SuperSpotterATL
      @SuperSpotterATL  Před 6 lety +1

      I prefer Boeing to Airbus as well. GE makes the CFM engines.

    What happened to the older 737s with the sky interiors and over head televisions ? Are they still flying today ?

  • @jcspotter7322
    @jcspotter7322 Před 6 lety

    Why did American add the red tip to the winglet?

    • @SuperSpotterATL
      @SuperSpotterATL  Před 6 lety

      It was a little experiment they had going on. They were thinking of putting a flag on the winglets which would've been great, but they said it would've been too expensive to do that.

    • @jcspotter7322
      @jcspotter7322 Před 6 lety

      🤣 American is too cheap to install tv's on their new 737max's, of co use it would be too expensive to add a small red stripe on their winglets.
