Hi Doc! One that's always puzzled me: cooking on medium and high head with olive oil. You've suggesting cooking, stir frying and browning food with the use of olive oil. In a lot of these cases the pan/oven temp surpases that of the smoke point of olive oil; aren't we reducing the healthy effects and Omega-3 fats of the olive oil when burning it? I almost always substitue Avocado oil for medium to high-temp cooking.

yes Dr. Gundry I need your help desperately.. my blood pressure used to be low to average, and in recent years have gone thru huge trauma, and diet change, especially the last year, doctors say my blood pressure was 190 over 100, breathing exercises brought it down to 145, which I was told that means it is due to stress, and the doctor just gave me hydrochloroth which after reading side effects terrifies me, so what can I do, I am in a bind, will take one maybe, and that is it, maybe not, terrified of the side effects, and says cannot suddenly stop taking because that would be life threatening, what to do? thank you for saving my friend's life, you are amazing!

The Dr. Gundry Podcast hello Dr. Gundry! I just got diagnosed with Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis. It must be right at the beginning. My antibodies are at 288, my T3 & T4 and everything else are still good. Right now I do not have to take meds, only supplements like Vit D & selenium. Is there a way I can reverse this disease? With food? I know I have to work on my leaky gut & estrogen dominance. Could you maybe do a podcast/video on how to deal with Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis? Thank you very much!

This Diet has literally saved my life. I wont go into details but anyone reading this know there is a healthier, livelier and sounder you under all that fat and pain. You will never know how bad you felt until you feel so good. It is like you are like a precognitive machine now, everything starts working out in life, people treat you differently. Just work through the pain and misery, fear is the only thing that gets smaller the closer you get to it. Trust the plan.

It’s good to see doctors looking after themselves and cooking healthy meals. They get so few hours of nutrition training. Like 3-4hrs in 7 yrs! However as he mentioned we’ve all been educated incorrectly about what we have been putting in our mouths for years. Cereal (even porridge oats) although initially filling eventually just makes me more hungry.

Appreciated the concise and informative video. Provided a bit of background and answered what not to have before 10 am. Demonstrated a quick recipient and plugged the book and diet (which I have been on for a year this month). I sometimes hesitate to open weekly emails as the lecture or talking has been a half hour or more, with no way to pause, only able to start over (at least on devices I use). Appreciated getting the information needed in a quick and informative time frame today. Thanks for the weekly reminders, support and information you send out.

Quorn Grounds ingredients include Roasted Malt Barley Extract and NATURAL CARAMELIZED SUGAR. Dr. Gundry taught me how to calculate "real" sugar content...4 grams per serving of Grounds. How can this be promo'd on this recipe when he recommends quitting fruits as they're too sugary? Malt extract is not ELISA-assayed to ensure there is no gluten in it. Genuinely confused.

I think the sugar is negligible enough to not be a huge concern? Perhaps that's why it's allowed. And barely extract I wouldn't think would contain any lectins since it's only the extract and not the entire heading itself. That's my guess anyway. I wouldn't think he would steer us wrong without looking into those things himself. Hope this helps :)

We bought and read Dr. Gundry’s books and we started the Plant Paradox Program to the letter. Before that, we were on a 2 month clean keto, meaning moderate protein and only healthy fats. We had entered ketosis on day 3 of keto and we were never out, reaching ketosis levels of 3-4 on some days and never less than 1. My husband lost 15 lbs, I lost 9 and both my teenage children were loosing weight too, even though they were consuming higher carbs, example milk in moderation. We loved the new diet because introducing resistant starches made our restrictive keto more enjoyable. We introduced green plantains, cassava and other RS from your list in moderation since we were sceptical. As pe your recommendations we increased a lot our fat intake, eg. spoons of olive oil daily. We use the 14 day glucose sensors and the ketosis meter. During your 3 day fasting we lost 3-4 lbs and had the highest ketosis level ever, however, as soon as the phase 2 started with its resistant starches, we started to reduce ketones levels, significantly increase glucose levels and put on back the weight. The foods are obviously more delicious, but within 2 days we were out of ketosis for the first time in 2 months since we started Keto. We are very disappointed indeed. A man, a woman, a teenage girl and a teenage boy, that’s a pretty varied group to test the program!. Those muffins he just made are keto by the way!. Go and add cassava flour for instance, that’s the difference between keto and plant paradox.

I have a question about the Full Recipe shown on Elephant Journal's site. Is the recipe correct when they say to add fennel seeds and NOT need to brown the Quorn Grounds prior to adding them to the egg mixture? Their website says, "If you prefer to make vegetarian “green” muffins, substitute Quorn Grounds for the turkey sausage. There’s no need to fry them, so you can skip step #2 below. Instead, briefly defrost and add to the spinach-egg mixture with a teaspoon of fennel seeds." I look forward to hearing from you!

I guess Dr. Gundry has no issues with microwave and plastics? Is there a different green that you would recommend? I have seen confusing videos presented by the Dr. that says spinach and kale can be a problem.

Hi Dr. I just found you. I love coffee with half and half. I don’t like coconut milk. What can I use?

Coconut oil, and/or grass fed butter. Make sure not to add any sugar to it.

Pancakes are shown to be fillers, which is good if you're very hungry in the morning. But they are also high in carbs, and ingesting too much carbs can create serious problems.

How many cups should you eat for breakfast? Just one?

Yes, one muffin is a perfect sized breakfast - though if you try it for a few days and find yourself hungry, you can have a second.
