    Since Arctic Cat released its improved ProClimb chassis, now the Ascender chassis, we’ve come to appreciate how well-balanced the Ascender chassis is; nose-to-tail and side-to-side. When the 2017 Mountain Cat came to market, still in the ProClimb chassis, we spent a full season riding the Suzuki-powered 800; we were truly impressed at the Mountain Cat’s balance and its easy on-edge handling.
    Then we received an early-release 2018 M8000 Sno Pro 153 in the new skinnier Ascender chassis with pulled-in panels, opened up foot wells, dropped and rolled chain case and Arctic Cat’s own domestic-built 800. Momentum was building at Arctic Cat’s Island Park, Idaho skunk works. Balance and control, and easy handlebar flips to throw the Sno Pro on edge, were fantastically improved by the early-release 2018 Sno Pro.
    For season-2018, the 2018 Mountain Cat was our Mountain Snowmobile of the Year, and our King of the Mountain in our deep-powder shootout.
    The 2019 Arctic Cat Alpha One Mountain Cat, with its single-beam Alpha rear suspension, its reduced vehicle weight, reduced track inertia, reduced track resistance, and reduced track rotating mass, all dialed into the Ascender chassis (a chassis well proven from 2018), just may be the most-balanced and easiest-to-ride mountain snowmobile to date. It takes little driver energy (input) into the Alpha to become a highly aggressive driver- in a controlled manner.
    We often hear we need balance in our lives. The Alpha One is such an example.

    How can this company watch their own review after and not say "Damn. He needs to just shut up."...

    Seriously, that guy had the enthusiasm of coconut. It's one of the most amazing changes of tech, and this guy sounds like he has some place to be. The sled though....awesome.

    Is anyone else completely sick and tired of having to turn the volume way up for areas where their talking and turn it way down for the music segments? A little editing goes a long ways guys, please level out the audio so it doesn't blow up my speakers when the music segment comes on.

    Cool idea but I honestly can not see it being tough enough to ride is certain areas. I know here in Newfoundland, Canada I am pretty sure you could easily smash that thing into pieces.

    It’s sad to see snowtrax talk on how great it is no draw backs I guess, is this artic cat television? I just got back from West Yellowstone and rented one of these and I will say the power was terrible, trail riding wasn’t bad as everyone says, but off trail. Rays from the sky didn’t shine down on me and make me think,wow! Really it felt heavy. I returned it that day and got a different one, during my trip I met a few people with this sled and asked what they thought of it. Not one person told me it was great, all I got was it’s “ok”

    I ain't switchin' back til' I see one kick some ass. I bought a '18 axys 155x3" and ride with two 850's, one 154x3" and one 165x3". We are all pretty close, the 165 does better in the super deep but nobody is runnin' away. The only stock sled that kicked our ass was an '18 axys 174x3". That thing was amazing on the hills.

      would eyed13 - Right?! I'm a big fan of all sleds. I'd be happy to have any. I still probably couldn't bring myself to by a Yamaha though. Just out of weight bias. I almost never see top end on my sleds either. Don't really care to.

    Looks unstable if your a novice rider looks like it could flip. And 6 years? Axis came out in 16 and I have one and it’s an amazing machine with the new motor. Cat is trying to keep up with doo and Polaris they are miles ahead of cat

      @ricter29 Před 6 lety

      Ty I rode cat my entire life until 2016 I switched and I will say they are just a better machine better throttle response better handling and easier to handle in powder. Even the hoods are easy to strip down.

    • @ricter29
      @ricter29 Před 6 lety

      aDayInTheLife well I rode cat up until 2016 your option is your and what color you ride is your choice but I will say this as a former cat rider of over 20 years...axis is just better. Polaris put a lot of time into rider easy and straight up power.

      Richard Goldman I think you're supposed to avoid hitting logs and rocks on a snowmobile, they work best in the snow... you should look into dirt bikes if that's your thing.

    1. The guy in yellow is AWFUL. He may have knowledge but he should not be in front of a camera.
    2. Everyone asking if the beam can handle this or that needs to do a little research. 1 it's a beam. It's so much stronger than the rails on our sleds.
