I bought a 2012 brand new with the 2.0 Turbo engine. Honestly, I wish I still had it. That was the best car I have ever owned. Especially quick for an SUV, nice tight steering and fantastic brakes. I will most likely buy another one just like it if I can find one at a reasonable price for that year model.

Having owed a Landrover Discovery going off road and up extreeme rocky and muddy hills with absolutely no issue or drama I have now bought a Kia Sportage and welcome the lower ability level of this car as it gives a more challenging drive but still gets everywhere the Discovery did. The landrover was fun dont get me wrong but the Sportage is way more fun. Getting stuck in 5 cm snow means your tyre choice was wrong, even 2WD car should not have problems with that. When it comes to LOCK - this function locks the axles together, not the wheels. If you want all wheels to spin, you must rely on traction control system, meaning brake intervention. Newer Sportage has better tuned TC system.
