I found it funny when you said you wanted 10 more minutes of Beyond the Heart, since if you were to play the game *you'd get a whole lot more than just 10.*
16 hours later: finaly iv finishd
Celest: welcome two the second save point
@@minimanbeast1014 it took me 6 hours to get to the fake heart- realised i was still too inexperienced when i got to the gate having not passed the b sides...
@@Poyni thats a pain that many of us felt
@@minimanbeast1014 yeah i then went and played the b sides up to 6b and after finishing 6b i took a break... which was in august... and i haven't been back yet
@@Poyni fair enough
The final swell of Farewell just about gets a sob out of me every time. I don't think I've ever heard a song that does such a good job blending determination and grief.
That last track plays over a, I swear to god, literal slide presentation of a jump technique you need to beat the next screens. The fact that it's in the full OST is very funny to me 😅
My personal recommendation for the list - listen to the OST for Transistor, by Supergiant Games!
Farewell and Beyond The Heart are in my opinion the two best Celeste songs
Farewell and beyond the heart are in my opinion two of the best video game songs overall
@@c00lg00p "Coalescence" from Risk of Rain 1 and its 'satellite' as the composer calls it: "...con lentitud poderosa" from Risk of Rain 2, are on a similar level for me.
I would also include "Reach for the Summit" for the main leitmotif and to complete the three best Celeste songs list.
@@TheFettuck Totally, it's incredible
Farewell made me feel something completely new. Those four sections each loop until you progress far enough, at which point they transition at the next loop point. Considering that each instrument represents a character, when the last section started, that plus the very difficult platforming was overwhelming in a way I can't describe.
Farewell is one of my favorite video game tracks of all time. I love how by the end there's like 3 entire separate solos all happening at the same time that fit together perfectly, bringing together most of the motifs and main instruments that were used throughout the entire rest of the Celeste OST in a spectacular finale. Who knew traditional violin could work so iconically with synth and... I don't even know, some sort of wild electric keyboard/keytar. Brilliant

Farewell is really a wild ride when you play it for the first time
Offical thank you!
@@MusicTheoryforGamers you copied it wrong a little, check the description and fix it please
@@iamverybadtocomeupwithnick3348 There needs to be 30 seconds between timestamps minimum for it to work. Please keep that in mind as I will need to edit to make it work with CZcams systems. Any ideas for working within these restrictions?
@@MusicTheoryforGamers make description with normal timestamps but for the video segments make that there's a "+" between merged segments (so users can understand it more clearly)

I remember this by heart since I play chapter 9 for my warmups
Same
Farewell is one of the most incredible pieces of music I've heard in any game. Lena Raine knows how to take a sledgehammer to my emotions.
Farwell is calling back both the original ost and b-sides along side the main Farwell chapter theme. One of my favorites. Hope you enjoy more songs like it.
Farewell can really tell a whole story without words. It shows courage, determination, redemption, inspiration. It's so beautiful I cannot describe it fully.
OMG, returning to this OST was awesome! Especially after listening to Lena's most recent Chicory OST, she likely worked on them at about the same time and there're a lot of cool references with the instruments, Wavedash even shares a version of a motif form there, such dope foreshadowing! I really hope he gets to Chicory: Colorful tale eventually, it's Lena's passion project and IT SHOWS!
This Soundtrack is so magical for me, since I played through this game completely blind and spent countless days getting that far, so I really love this reaction.
For other Soundtracks to react to I recommend Disco Elysium, Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, and honestly any Ace Attorney game, since they are all so good.
Oooh Ace Attorney is an interesting choice! Couldn’t agree more though, the music slaps
Yes do ace attorney
I don't know if somebody has already mentioned it in the comments, probably they have, but I will always love how in the track _Farewell,_ Lena mixed 3 different leitmotifs in the final section of the song. It makes the entire thing a _lot_ more emotional and impactful in context TwT
Between Celeste, Chicory and Lena's own albums, she's my favorite musician of all time. Truly a Goddess when it comes to music
OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOUR PFP
@@LaylaTuneZ tysm hun, made the edit myself ^u^ ^u^
@@BUGFlower413 it's SOOO cute!!! :3
Also, your comment is SO right!!! I seriously love Lena SO MUCH!!
Not sure if someone already suggested this yet, but Crypt of the Necrodancer has a pretty amazing OST, so maybe you could listen to it on a livestream?
It's been a year since I've played Celeste, and probably 2 years since I did the Farewell DLC.
I did not expect "The Woman and the Bird" to hit me emotionally like a truck.
I'm not a very emotional person, but tears immediately fell from my eyes when the first few notes hit.
"I could use 10 more mintutes of that" It's 1 am. I burst out laughing.
So, there is still one last album for the game, it's more of an extra album, it's called Madeline's Grab Bag, it contains 8-bit versions of the original ost, the different variations of the melody that plays whenever you complete a chapter, a version of first steps that's only the piano, and some other short ambiance tracks, I recommend checking that out aswell, whether you do that in your own spare time, that's obviously up to you to decide, just thought I'd mention it
good memories of doing the last segment of farewell while crying because of a combination of all the time and effort it took alongside the beautiful music
Amazing stream again! It's so cool seeing you get better at reacting to these OSTs! Can't wait for the Omori stream tommorow :D
Sounds of explosions and madeline dying over and over
This final chapter of Celeste was one of the most difficult things I’ve had to do in a video game! Trust me, the music relieved the oncoming insanity from my hours of failure lol. Lena Raine is legendary
My favorite track is by far Farewell. It plays over the final checkpoint of this chapter, and it’s an insanely wonderful track by how it slowly progresses along with the player. It starts simple, a piano strike on the quarter note with backing percussion. Then it gradually builds as the theremin, vocals, strings, and heavier and wilder synth are each introduced as you complete each screen, up until you’re at the final stretch and Lena Raine is throwing everything she has at you! Amazing experience my first time playing through.
OMG! I can't believe it too me wotching you do these hand gestures to realize that synth at 10:20 represents the bird!!!
I recommend listening to the a hat in time and plants vs zombies soundtrack, they're both great
oh, i totally forgot about PvZ! that would be so good!
Waited forever for that Farewell OST! Love your vids man
That was a lovely stream to watch! A perfect time to turn live. U should keep doing these kind of videos
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
my suggestions on osts you should listen to are ori and stardew valley. the ori osts are some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard, nearly every piece is incredible to listen to. stardew valley just has some really good music, especially the seasonal music, which really feels like it's what each season should sound like.
If you're looking for more celeste stuff to do reactions to, theres a huge fanmade mod called Strawberry Jam that has over 9 hours of music, split over 5 volumes
So sad i couldnt make it today, sorry Dan :(
Gonna put forward Risk of Rain and Risk of Rain 2 once again. They have some truly incredible tracks, with the second game heavily featuring electric guitar.
If I may recommend an ost, the Lethal League Blaze soundtrack has some really amazing music. All the tracks are super funky and I listen to them all the time.
Beautiful!
Aww, missed it live due to band rehearsal 😅
Nevertheless, awesome to see the video still! Thanks a lot for the content.
No worries! Thank you for watching!
Part of game about hardships of letting go of a dead person
Farewell is arguably the most difficult level in the entirety of Celeste, yet the most rewarding. Through that subchapter with music heavily focused on major notes the player really starts to get challenged, yet most screens or areas are mostly going up, as if you're close to reaching your goal. Right after that section, you're supposed to grab a fake heart, as Madeline-- the main character-- sees bird, and follows it. Then you have to get past an area where if you haven't gotten EVERY single difficult collectable to collect, you can't pass. After that, Crash plays, bird cutscene. After THAT, In Stasis plays and the game teaches the players how to do "speed runner" mechanics. After *THAT* , beyond the heart plays, and all the visuals darken. You're no longer mostly going up, but rather left or right, even down sometimes. Next, in an almost completely different section from the rest, Final Defiance. Visuals are heavily desaturated and vibrance is lessened, as most screens in that area are HEAVILY focused on rhythm based mechanics. And *finally* , after all that is done, Farewell plays and you're left at the SINGLE most difficult "screen" in the entirety of Celeste. (Ok, maybe not including C-sides) Anyways, beating this screen, which has taken many people hundreds to thousands of attempts to beat, you see Granny. Afterwards, an incredibly well animated cutscene plays ( No spoilers on that :) )
Farewell’s final screen was the most difficult in the game for me, even harder than 8C’s final room which took me around 150 minutes.
@@Light_2461 Hey, at least the developer gave us that 100 deaths on screen easter encouragement :)
@@Light_2461i think 7c is widely regarded to be the hardest room, how did you do on that one?
@@santaisreal 1 hour 45 minutes, it felt like an accomplishment unlike 8C’s final room.
@@santaisrealI got a golden on the entire chapter 5th try last time I did it, so I disagree. 8C was a different story though. I think the moonberry room is probably the hardest.
i like how he mispelled reconciliation
Very late, but he copied and pasted from a comment rather than writing it himself and clearly didn't proofread. The subchapter numbers also skip one of them so don't line up.
To get the true meaning out of these songs, you have to have the death sound effect playing every 5 seconds.
20:50 well I've listening this for 4 hours and it still pretty good, even though I hate it just a little bit
2nd part of farewell LOVE!!!!
I'm working through some things right now and revisiting this track may have helped.
Trust me, i've heard these musics A LOT!
I definitely feel like you should listen to the Touhou: Subterranean Animism soundtrack. It is easily my favourite soundtrack to date, game may be a bit older than most you've listened to thus far but it is definitely a good one.
Energy Daybreak is awesome
I would like to see you react to the OST in Made in Abyss. Its my favorite OST from anything so far, and the movies/series are just brilliant.
vibe
Hoping we get a reaction to The Pathless OST by Austin Wintory eventually. That and the Ori soundtracks by Gareth Coker. There's so much good video game music it feels impossible to get to all of it.
I love your content man! Keep up the great work. I suggest maybe taking a look at the Sea of Thieves ost, Terraria Calamity ost, and Bug Fables ost if your ever interested.
I love the farewell dlc music! If you have time you should react to the Subnautica ost some time. You should also check out some older Pokémon games music (or newer, though I feel the older games had better music) Pokemon Diamond and Pearl has my favourite music!
I really want to see a reaction to the soundtrack of inmost!
A soundtrack suggestion i have is Mother 3.. it may be a bit niche but the composition is just.. beautiful
You should react to the little nightamres 1 and 2 ost because they are really good
One soundtrack that would be great to react to is super Mario galaxy and galaxy 2 ost. They are so fun.
This is the 100th comment 👌💯
I don't know if you heard it before, but a soundtrack that is absolutely god tier is the dark souls soundtrack, super recomend
I’m super excited for um your playthrough of this game, but seeing that you still have to play hollow knight, I’m guessing I won’t see this game until march, great vid tho
You should do the Skyrim 10th anniversary concert next, its such a beautiful OST
Dead cells has a lot of nice guitar and even lute
You should do Epic Battle Fantasy 5 ost too
Bro you should try Sonia Mania's soundtrack to react next, it's music surely will blow your mind!
2:49 - Fear of The Unknown - Main character "Madeline" recently learned someone she loved died and is now climbing a mysterious space realm. She rejected her previously allied Badeline (Her depression, given a body and separate mind along with full autonomy)
8:49 - Joy of Remembrance - Madeline sees the beauty of the space she is in, and she slowly learns the message to accept the death of their loved one
12:58 - In Stasis - Madeline rejects the lesson, instead opting to chase a creature she assumes represents the fallen loved one in a surge of determination-driven denial. Her rejection is causing the world to corrupt
15:22 - Crash - Stinger for when the world fully corrupts and the space is replaced with a Black Hole destroying all the life around her, all while she laments herself and walk on glitching terrain
15:34 - Beyond The Heart - The Singularity swirls faster as her determination spirals out of control
21:09 - Final Defiance - She rejects Badeline once more, is experiencing suicidal thoughts, and believes she is truly alone
26:32 - Futility - Madeline fails 1 more time to catch the creature she believed to represent her loved one, the admits defeat
26:47 - Reconciliation - Madeline gets forgiven by Badeline, they now try to save the creature instead knowing that this place is unstable and unsafe
28:18 - Farewell - Madeline uses whatever determination she has left to free the creature while Badeline and the creature themselves help her out by throwing and catching her
36:31: Badeline, knowing that this was all a dream, decides to try and help Madeline who only recently learned. Badeline throws Madeline into heaven where she speaks to her loved one for the last time, waking up in tears
Random request but maybe react to the A Hat in Time OST? I played the game a couple weeks ago and really liked it and it’s soundtrack.
P.S. there is an A side and B side, the A side being main story songs and 5e songs you will hear when playing the base game and side B for DLC songs and remixes
Can you react to Just Shapes and Beats ost ?
yooo
You should react to the soundtrack for Super Mario Galaxy
Please make a reaction to the donkey kong country ost especially 2 lmao
Waiting for terraria OST
I highly suggest doing the Assassin's Creed Odyssey OST. Ik I said this multiple times before, but it's just so good. It would be well worth your while.
Is it actually good for what I hear a mediocre game?
@@ursjsjsj5818 yea
Recommend u to listen terraria calamity mod OST, it is pretty amazing
Love your reactions!
For future videos, I suggest both Journey OST or Transistor OST.
Journey : czcams.com/video/M3hFN8UrBPw/video.html
Transistor : czcams.com/video/-zA1jRmAYfU/video.html
Splatoon 2 dedf1sh music would be cool (splatoon 2 ost would take too long)
