I remember watching these. They were fantastic sequences, just a shame it was old graphics, but it still looks amazing for what you created. Excellent job!
I just gotta say he applied reverse thrust to launch - it made me laugh but it was a great job none the less
Old but young at heart, i'm sure as long as someone somewhere is enjoying Thunderbirds in whatever way they choose, i'll be happy.

I remember this when I was a kid
Just shows what talent there is. That sequence was well worth theh attention of Hollywood. After all, that's how the basic graphics are worked out from the start.
Keep em comin. Actually, ever thought about a movie. That other comment about the Last Starfighter - where the hell does he think they got half of the ideas from in the first place!! Twonk!
Fair enough, thanks for the feedback, it doesn't tally with the majority from all the feedback i've been given but i'll take it on board. I'd still rather do it this way, most definitely a fan! :)
You'll be pleased to know i'm probably not doing them as much these days as i'm now working professionally, however i'd encourage you to check out my range of artwork on deviant-art where I continue to ruin classic shows much to peoples delight :).

The music is "Kiriko's Decision" from the Godzilla x Megaguirus sound track, it is an awsome score. :D

Heartily agreed. Despite its lack of professional-level detail, there's some strong filmmaking skills behind it; with more time for modeling, this would be strong feature film-level stuff.

Aww man that was my favourite scene when I was a kid. Used to rewind the video and watch it again and again. Your video is very well done. Great on the details.
Thunderbird 1 is my FAVOURITE!! They should have used something similar to this for that so-called movie. Oh and a decent plot as well would have worked! Nice job!

well thunderbird 2 had to be taken down cuz some yobs started bugging my brother, the fx for tb3 have been on my hard drive for a year now so ill stitch that together somtime with the edf crew soon

REALLY nice work! I saw the original first time round and have been a fan of Gerry Anderson's Supermarionation shows ever since Supercar. Your work is a fitting tribute to the creative genius that went into those old puppet shows.

thanks, well what we are doing is making somthing called edf that homages thunderbirds and captain scarlet quite a bit, making my own thunderbirds episode is quite tempting but i cant resist the allure of making up my own universe

Excellent job, great modelling and nice animation. Just a shame the rendering lets it down. With a serious engine behind it, that would kick the pants out of any Yank movie version.
I can't say it's very convincing, but the use of framing and the use of composition is REALLY good! You used the perfect angles and shots to create a very good movie even though it has graphical limitations :o I'm really impressed by that :p
It would've been cool though if the music climaxed just before Thunderbird 1's launch :p And you'd see TB1 from the front just like the show, but that's just me :p

What CGI software did you use? Maya? Blender? also I like the model of thunderbird 1 :)

This looks like it was done in 3ds max, like where we do most of our 3d animation in my college
All of you kiddies up in here need to stop. The whole original concept was with marionettes, and scaled models. If it's nit produced on motion picture film cinematography, yhen you can just forget it. It's 'real' old school.

I come from an even farther future to say the same artist's CGI now adornes most of the official Anderson Entertainment releases :)

So say you. No one says you cannot attempt to make yourself happy. But if you're going to call yourself a 'fan', and endeavor to create/produce a 'fan filn', do the rest of us the courtesy of replicating it as 'true to form', or leave it alone.... you're ruining it. It's too expensive to accomplish, and all you're doing is some 'mash up'.
I'm sure you think you're being funny stating that you're 'ruining ' classic shows. If you're really brave , and daring, try to create your own show. Then, no one can touch you, you'll be in a league all your own, and will be able to call all the shots. Did you ever think about that? Start there, if you're a real professional.
