      @@jarrodwoloslpc2496 Are you playing on PS5 or with a PS5 host, because no it absolutely does not kill a Charger even with 1 full tank. PS5 has a damage bug causing everything to do SIGNIFICANTLY more damage, like Railgun and Arc Thrower shreds Chargers and Bile Titans.
      Flamethrower does not kill Chargers or Titans with any reasonable amount of ammo or time.

      Its amazing to me how he complains about the hulks. Disposable anti-tank coming back in 60 seconds with the donation license upgrade and a well placed headshot can easily deal with at least 2/3 of the hulks, especially if two players have D.A-T. Same to Chargers, just aim for the face and they die in 1 disposable rocket.
      If those two players also have a spare weapon stratagem (Railgun, Flamer, GLs, MG[s]), they'll never have an issue with them or any other enemy.

    I love how the recoiless rifle is now so much more viable. You can remove the leg armor of the charger in one rocket or even kill one with 2 rockets to the head. Also about the automatons, I feel like the hulk are not the only problem, biggest problem I have with them are the Heavy devastator and the artillery devastator, which both have what seem to be a higher spawnrate than basic raiders. Yes you can kill them pretty quickly with stratagem but I once had a mission where there was basically 20 Artillery devastator and we literally couldn't move from our spot since we kept getting spammed with an unholy amount of rockets, kill one and two comes to replace it.

      Having someone with an auto cannon to clear them is great. If you have something like the jar-5 dominator or slugger you can stagger them and headshots kill them very fast if you can manage that, if not, hit the arms or midriff which aren't armored.

      Anti-Material rifle is amazing for taking out not just devastators and striders but even hulks as well. It can one-shot devastators if your aim is dead right on their face but otherwise two shots them most of the time if you just generally hit them anywhere that isn't the shield on the ones that have it. It can two-shot a hulk with two headshots. Plus, the extra zoom means you can be further away where their attacks are easier to dodge and time getting your hits in from cover.

      ​@@serioussponge6416How exactly do you do a headshot to a hulk with the anti material? , because the last time I used the antimaterial my bullets were going through him and the only part that I could hit has their arms so I just swapped to recoilless (Perfect solution for everything).

    Here's some insight:
    1. People didn't really give a fuck about the nerfs except for the railgun, shield backpack is still the most used one.
    2. Most of the drama happened after 5 devs got mad over a couple of morons on discord and started calling out the whole community (some call outs were pretty salty, you can still find those messages on discord through search), creating this whole big fucking PR disaster.
    3. It's mostly over now as the CEO (Pilestedt) promised to reprimand the guys that were going over the top and apologized. He's currently the "darling" of Arrowhead team and a lot of the people still hold respect for him.
    4. Due to this clusterfuck devs are now looking over into reworking heavy enemies, so it could possible end up in heavies getting nerfed to the point most of the current stuff finally feels viable against them.
    Edit for the end of the video: Mech is somewhat decent, but you do need to save rockets for chargers/bile titans and kill everything else with a gatling gun. Depending on how good you are 1 rocket can be enough (blow titan's head or strip charger's leg armor).

      I think we’ve learned something valuable from this
      1.People need to stop taking a video game so seriously and quit harassing the devs
      2.unless you’re a community manager that is trained to deal with communicating with players and dealing with the territory it brings then you need to shut the fuck and not shit talk the fan base especially in a discord of 500k people or use an alt account and vent frustration without attracting negative press to your company

      Swedes don't know how to balance games. Fatshark constantly fumbling updates, Valheim being a tedious grind comparable to actual MMO's.... Devs don't even play at higher difficulties themselves LMAO.

      Been saying this for a while but this solution also works, we shouldn't nerf the railgun, instead buff other support weapons to be on par with the railgun or close to it. Nerfing the only real option for higher difficulties does not solve the issue of meta builds.

      Some further insight, including mechs:
      5. The nerfs are being heavily overreacted to. Safe railgun still functions as a 1-shot for hive guards (very convenient) and unsafe railgun is functionally identical to pre-nerf save for a damage nerf. Takes 2-3 good shots to remove charger leg armor and is still capable of 1-shotting bile titans (inconsistently, just use the 500kg bomb or orbital laser you're bringing anyway). If you got good with unsafe railgun, you did not feel this nerf.
      6. Breaker is also nerfed, but barely, still serving the exact same function it did pre-nerf with the only change being that you can't unload your clip into a horde. This actually allows some other options to be viable and demonstrate their own strengths, e.g. the Dominator, while allowing the Breaker to still exist just fine.
      7. Don't use mechs on Automaton worlds until they don't get deleted by every Rocket Devastator within a 5 kilometer distance. It's sadly asking to die. Absolutely cleans house on bug worlds though, which honestly feels nice that it's terrible against bots even from a lore perspective. Still hope it gets a pinch more durable, though, would love to 1v1 a Hulk.

    Autocannon supremacy. Takes out hordes easily. Takes down biles easily if you just spam shoot their sack while they walk towards you, one reload is enough. Takes out chargers after you dodge and unload into their weakspot with a mag. Takes out Tanks. Takes out hulks if you hit head properly. Takes out Cannons.

      @@vex080 is that a common issue in "extreme-level" difficulties in games? i'm obviously asking because that isn't my kind of thing but i figured those were always plagued with "the meta", and balancing aspects of the lower levels or equipment in general around high-level sounds like a questionable design choice
      idk, i played on 6 until this update put the screws in. 5 is kinda like the old 6 and what i stay around now, but 7 and above always seemed like "get your meta on"

      @spacebassist The "meta players" were such a non issue. Literally 3 people complained on reddit about a bad meta group and it got overblown. But yes, level 7 and upwards has major issues. It spawns 5 bile titans and 6 chargers the SECOND you land. At some point in extraction it kept spawning so many enemies that, when we extracted there were 12 bile titan's. The autocannon isn't useable that high up, you have to just keep running, spawn deployable cannons and pray they fix it soon since they did announce the spawn rate broken right now

      Before the patch you could easily clear Helldive so lvl 30 wasn't really that hard to get to. Hell last week I was seeing lvl 40 and 50's

    Palworld didn't fall off, people just finished the game and moved on. I know it sounds crazy, my fellow gamers, but not every video game is a live service that is meant to be played 24/7. Some games have an ending. When you beat said game, it's perfectly normal to stop playing it and pick up another game.

There were genuinely some incredible games on those systems, but hardly anyone plays on them because newer things have come out to take their place. Thats just what happened.

    it's funny cuz they say if they buff the weapons they need to buff the enemies, but instead they buff the enemies and buff only a handful of weapons and completly ignore the weapons that truly need a buff or fix, an example being the spear that has a lock on mechanic that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, but the worst part is the damage, sometimes it one shot chargers and vile titans and sometimes they take all the rockets and still walking like nothing.

      It's primarily due to different servers. Apparently if your hosting on a PS5 server the enemies are way easier to kill, while on PC servers the game is 20x harder.

    Oh dude, Flamethrower and Machine Gun combo is absolutely brilliant for crowd control of the bugs. You've got the Flamethrower to make sure that you have an area of safety in front of you and burn any of the smaller things that get by, while the machine gun (not Stalwart, it has shit pen) thins out the overall swarm to make it manageable for the flamethrower if anything does get by. We were messing around with a combination of those two secondary weapons, incendiary mine fields, napalm strikes, and could completely shut down an area without needing to retreat when we placed our stratagems right. The most I ended up dying to was stepping on a mine which had landed on a wall when I'm vaulting over something when we did that combo. Only thing we had a tough time with and would need another person for was the Bile Titans, since the flamethrower killed the charger really quickly if they targeted the legs.

      I do want to see more arc/electricity weapons which have more effectiveness against the automatons, because I do think that it's really neat that we have all this flame stuff, but it's only effective against one of the two factions and we don't really have an equivalent for the bots. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

    13:28 I agree with this take, because any dev looking agape at your average power-players and balancing the game around them, is literally the WORST thing a dev can do to a game.
    It just weakens & frustrates casual players, while leaving power-players untouched, as they will just find a new meta or exploit to use instead.

    Mechs are nice but underwhelming for 3 reasons.
    1. The +50% cooldown timer makes it 15 minutes cooldown so you might not have the opportunity to use both mechs unless you litteraly call it in the start.
    2. Meteor showers and volcano will 1 tap the mech due to its size, its just gone.
    3. It tanks no damage at all. I once got it destroyed by a single Nurse spewer against bugs and 2 little rockets from automaton, rockets that they do fire like over 40 per minute easily.
    I really like them, but I guess the game hates the Mechs.

    The thing for me about all this is that i played helldivers 1 and the regular weapons in that game felt viable. I personally used the sniper rifle and i was still able to clear the highest difficulties with both my friends and randoms. I think it would do the devs some good to look back onto 1 and see what worked there and if they can implement something similar to helldivers 2.

    i genuinely don't understand why people are so afraid of the bots and think they're so much harder than the bugs. The bugs are waaaaaaay harder imo.
    A bot drop is easily stoppable, you just kill the bot that has a pistol; they shoot the flare that calls in the bot drop. A bug breach, however, can be called in by what seems to be any bug, and it's extremely hard to stop. Not only that, but a bot drop takes like 10-15 seconds to come in and drop off the bots, whereas a bug breach spawns in the bugs instantly.
    also bots are very easy to run away from, especially if you have cover. but you can't escape a pack of hunters or stalkers.

      I'd say bots felt harder due to the range attack that they have, and more armored enemy variants.
      I agree with the bot drop being longer and actually stoppable. But if you fail to stop it, they drop more dangerous enemy than a bug breach do imo.
      And also i think the flanks from patrolling bots is much more dangerous than patrolling bugs due to the range attack.
      I'd say i like the different flavor of difficulty that we between the two. And different people can experience different things too just like you and me here for example.

      Bots are way worse than bugs. There are 4 enemy types that can instakill you with a single projectile and sometimes you won’t know they’re there until you die which is especially bad on higher difficulties. All the special enemies on bugs can easily be handled by a railgun, auto cannon, or grenade launcher. In automatons, the only two options are railgun or auto cannon because those are the only two where they can one shot specials before they can even fire at you if you hit the face plate

    You'd think they would remember how to properly balance from the first game, especially the stratagem spam and ridiculous heavy spawn rates can get very annoying and put your team into a death spiral
    There's a reason why the poison mortar was the meta on higher difficulty of the first game as it was the only reliable weapon to deal with heavy armor since there were no exposed weak spots

    Chargers and titans are pretty easy to take out with RR, EAT and Quasar. Its back has 90% damage reduction and was never meant to be a weak-point.

    A tip for all divers rn, I recommend when your running with a squad that 1 person uses rhe railgun/rail cannon paired with another using the auto cannon, rail gun strips heavy armor while auto cannon quickly secures the kill, using weapon combos like this really really helps now

    Disposable antitank refreshes in in 70 secs at base. With upgrade its like 40 seconds. Also the Auto Cannon, Flamethrower makes quick work of chargers. And grenade launcher supply pack combo is the solo bug killing build

    chargers are easily the worst part of the game, you have to keep them still for your strategem to actually land but they dont exactly like staying still, so i figured maybe luring it into a minefield trap would work better since it's window of opportunity to land a hit is infinitely larger than any kind of air strike. You'd think an entire minefield exploding on the soft underbelly would be able to take one out, but they dont even flinch. I get wanting to keep strategems as a central focus in strategy, but it's not exactly fun waiting 2 minutes to call one in, only for it to miss or not do enough damage and having to wait even longer to get another chance and having another 3 wander up during that time

    I still use the meta build of Railgun and Shield Backpack with Breaker and 500kg and Laser Cannon, cause the Railgun saves my hide from being mauled into oblivion. The Breaker helps with mobs spawning out of thin air, so yeah... I'll stick to the Meta Build that will help me have fun and survive the game.

    Thing about the arc thrower, i've been maining it before the patch even and i see a lot of people using it wrong, sometimes people are shocked i can kill a charger with 8 shots, the arc thrower may seem like it deals constant same damage on any parr of the body for the trade of ignoring armor, but it works like most weapons, it deals more damage to the head, the best way to use the arc thrower against a charger is to shoot it in it's head, not tail (or ass i guess). Also, if a bug is chasing you and the charger is behind that bug, shoot the bug, the arc thrower would auto aim through the bug into charger's head, overall, the arc thrower is a great alternative it just takes a lot of practice to "use it right" (i should also add that this is the best way i found to kill a charger, there is no right way and someone may correct me on a better way to kill a charger, you just gotta experiment a bit yourself)

    The issue with the update is that they completely scuffed the difficulty 7+ and seemingly everything else as well. Difficulty 6 sometimes feels like how 8 used to be. The spawns were changed and NOT put in the patch notes

    I swear Arrowhead devs have never played beyond Hard difficulty, anything after that is just patrol after patrol of chargers and like Pyro said, the Chargers just halt the whole game because you cant out run them, you have to deal with them.
    On the other hand the Bile titans are a fun enemy to fight because they're rare enough where they feel like Bosses, Chargers should have a Lair just like how the Stalkers have, take the Lair out and they dont spawn anymore.
    Or the better choice, fix their stupid agility and glitched animation where they slide around like they're on soap.

That should be able to take care of 2 or more (depending how they hit) big boys. I've soloed and played with other people after the patch and we have beaten almost all missions we've done. We are not even running best shit as well, but rather we just felt like.       @@slyr0980 theres a clear distinction between the game requiring you to soldier trough a difficulty instead of playing trough a difficulty. The chargers and the bile titans are, by themselves, bad game design - heavy armored enemies that instakill you unless you either magdump your entire reserve into them or wait 6 minutes for your drop-ins to recharge on difficulties that are actually challenging. People that say that bile titans can be one shot are, as many already know, ps5 players where they have one fifth of the health pool they do on PC, which is the same for chargers and most enemies. There is a clear lack of developer care and attention towards higher difficulties as they want them to be *hard*, not *challenging*, which are 2 different things. That notwithstanding, the developers themselves are opposed to you playing solo - proven with their replies both in the discord and the subreddit, which goes to show how much they want to appease the gatekeeping crowd and simply parse numbers without going into the reasons why they are like that. Good for you on soloing missions by the way, just remember that not all of us have the same amount of time they can sink into this game.

    Another thing they didnt mention in the patch was the fact they increased heavy unit spawn rates overall, it was thing that people only realised after a few games with the devs now working on it.
    One big issue about the argument of "Use stratagems" against heavy units is the fact in the autamoton front theres jammers and ion storms that disable all your stratagems completely with there being a chance for two jammers being near eachother blocking half the map, aa guns that disable all eagle airstrikes, - 1 stratagem limit on higher difficulties, +100% cooldown on all stratagems etc.
    All of these debuffs are more then possible within a single game making you rely on frags and primary weapons, funny thing is they buffed the slugger which literly makes it possible to one shot any type of devastators, open containers and has good ammo efficiency, you can kill infantry, devastators, scouts and tanks with just the ladout you spawn in as a solo, only problem are hulks which you need some sort of stratagem to kill.
    The game literly lets you be a one man army without stratagems while telling you to rely on them and use them, while also debuffing them with massive ammounts of effects and now even nerfs.

    They say we shouldn’t have strong starter weapons but so far everytime I drop in on any difficulty over 4 I’m immediately surrounded by enemies within seconds. Maybe I have horrible luck and land near patrols by pure coincidence but there’s literally no time to call in a support weapon. I don’t really mind it too much, honestly it’s not that hard to deal with as long as you keep track of your surroundings, worst part is on anything above 7 when there’s so many elites spawning constantly that you’re forced to retreat and end up triggering another patrol that calls in even more dropships making you run even further and into even more patrols. It wouldn’t be so bad if the operation modifiers didn’t make stratagems so fickle.

    This is literaly what I was thinking the whole time after the patch. They took away the "Fun" out of a fun game. The nerf is just one of many things that were not good decisions. Unfortunately if you say anything bad about the game people will just tell you "Skill issue" or "GeT Gud". The games community went from amazing to extremely toxic. I saw that the developers being arrogant was also a big problem in the first game. I wanted to post something on their reditt but I can't because of the nonsense karma system. People deliberately downvote if you say something "controversial" or in other words they get butt hurt when you have a valid opinion.

      It is early access, somehow everyone forgets to mention this, baldurs gate 3 was early access also and I did buy that when it was 30 bucks. I ended up 5 years later with a 60 dollar quad a game at the end because I believed in the vision and the makers asked us for our input all the time

      Palworld is not anywhere close to dying considering that the game peaks at over 150k players consistantly from morning to evening, with the sharp drops only occuring late into the night when most people are sleeping. Pyro's pretty much just talking out of his ass.

    recoilless or auto cannon can generally strip charger armor easily. Or you can try to flamethrower one of its legs and it will kill it pretty quickly. Other weapons like machine gun or other primaries have a harder time but after the chargering attack you can try to aim at one of tthe front leg from behind and with some luck you can kill the charger.

    At higher difficulties, you're not supposed to be fighting, just get the objectives done cause you will get overwhelmed very quickly and go through your reinforcements just as fast...save your weapons if there's no other option and kill to clear a path and get away to disengage.

    Ze flammemwafer is absolutely devastating against chargers aim at the legs with it and you melt them instantly with half of the canister still remaining so you still have enough to either kill another charger or kill a bunch of bugs

    The arc thrower is still good, depends on where you shoot, so like the charger, pyro said it took 20 but if you shoot it headon its like 5-6
    So it does depend on which area of the body is shot, just an little fyi to help

    Pyro stating that armor penetrating weapon is op when considered against armored foes, and that you actually need to use stratagems for special bugs, is just saying a tutorial for thoes who didn't play, that's exactly how first game balance went - railgun/laser shotgun for bugs, armor penetration upgrade rifle/railgun for cyborgs, and laser rifle/something fast shooting for sentinels to shut down their shield faster. The point was that you only choose that weapon once, so, if you get overwhelmed with a lot of smaller bugs while running railgun - bye bye your ammo on oneshot enemies anyway, laser on cyborgs - you're not going to shoot fast enough to make up for the penetration, get other weapon for this faction, etc.
    Now, the only thing missing for you to understand that is mechs and sentinels (3rd faction) which is the bad point of the game - it came out too early.

      And the dev response was actually solid, the game is supposed to be hard like the first one was. I swear, all these normies coming in on hype while the game is at its worst thinking this is peek, and when they calibrate it to be more like original - boohoo it's le hard now unplayable i want more xp but a cakewalk boohoo. Play the fucking game, it's about teamwork, it's about good use of stratagems, it's about preperation and execution, stop whining your power curve is now actually a power curve because carry weapon that made it non-existent in now nerfed.
      That "valid point" brought up is completely negated by - USE YOUR FUCKING STRATAGEMS THAT YOU BROUGH BEFOREHAND TACTICLY IN ORDER TO DEAL WITH BIGGER THREATS. What, so fucking hard to understand that if throwing only scissors isn't working - you need to start using paper or rock? All i see is just normies whining the game isn't normie enough to be just a l4d2 type of horde that just looks pretty but in the end gets mowed down in seconds.

    All they would need to do is make the elite enemies more rare, spawn in more normal enemies and then make it so that normal weapons could somewhat wear down heavy armor.

    Seems like people don't realize you don't have to kill every bug you see. Try to avoid enemies, outrun the ones you can, complete the objectives, and save your heavy firepower to take out the big enemies you HAVE to kill

    The chargers also move really weird. Sometimes it just does a 180 when you dodge out of its way. or shoulder tackles you when you dodge.

    I think a better way to balance helldivers would’ve been to buff enemies slightly, buff some of the bad guns, give bonuses when using bad weapons, and make it harder to progress using the meta weapons. That way people who want to feel powerful and kill everything can and those who want a challenge or want to progress have to try

    People keep calling the rail gun „broken“ or “op”. Yet that wasn’t the problem! The problem was that every other weapons was ass! What are the players supposed to do when no weapon is above meh? Rely on stratagems? The same stratagems that have a 8 min recharge on higher difficulties?
