    I like the longer hypnosis videos. There is no rush and I'm soothed by your voice, etc.

    Holy crap. Where did you get the idea to do this??? You look, like, freaking amazing. I am a bit partial to red, and my opinion is that you look really stunning. I feel I'm still understating this, but that's about it for what I can conjure up for words right now.
    Apart from that, your upload was informative and I really appreciate you continuing to share your passion with us. I seem to notice that hypnosis tends to be consensual, so your explanations make sense.
    What sort of music do you enjoy? Many people may offer up that they enjoy many genres, but I'd like to hear what your favorite song is (or was at any time) and why it means so much to you. That is, if you feel so kind to address the question.
    I'm a professional musician and audio engineer, so I tend to get curious about the musical and creative stuff in people I find particularly interesting.

    I went to a Hypnotherapist that worked from home He used to perform on stage & he put me under three times with a break in between I went to quit smoking & it worked straight away even though I thought it was just a hoax No withdrawal no wish to ever smoke again & this was forty years ago He told me that to kick a bad habit would take three sessions of Hypnosis but most of the high end Hypnotherapists had people coming back to their rooms more times than necessary to make more money out of them! I would like your opinion on that Loved your Hypnosis test with the raising arm by the way!

    Do you think there is a disconnect between online Internet hypnosis videos and in-person hypnosis? Myself I find it very difficult to be hypnotized via an online video but I wonder if it would be easier for me to go into a trance if it was a person-to-person hypnosis experience rather than a person to screen to person one.

    • @hoseaaaa
      @hoseaaaa Před 5 lety

      IF you're talking with a live person, via screen or physically, the difference is that person can use your feedback for the benefit of the hypnosis.

    • @grey_shadow
      @grey_shadow Před 5 lety

      The big difference is between interactive and non-interactive hypnosis. If you're not interacting with the hypnotist (listening to a recording, watching a one-way broadcast, reading a script...) then it's going to be more of a one-size-fits-all approach, that may or may not actually be a good fit with you - and any adjustments needed to get the hypnosis to work will have to come from you adapting to the hypnotist rather than the other way around. If you're in an interactive session with the hypnotist, whether that's live in-person, over Skype, or sending IMs back and forth - even emails or text messages work (I suspect hypnosis-by-post would end up working like non-interactive hypnosis) - if you're interacting, then they can adapt what they're doing based on how you're responding, and that means, with a competent hypnotist, you're going to get a tailored approach that, all else being equal, will be more effective.
      Of course, hypnosis is actually highly variable from person to person, and there are people who find pre-recorded sessions work best - some have performance anxiety and aren't comfortable with the idea the hypnotist is monitoring them during the session; some find it easier to trust a session where they could listen to it first and check what's actually suggested; some find being able to repeat exactly the same session helps them learn to respond to it better. On average, though, an interactive session is more likely to be more effective than a non-interactive one.

    • @Dosetsu1
      @Dosetsu1 Před 5 lety

      In person the hypnotist can customize the induction has he or she is hypnotizing you based on what they read from your nonverbal communication. If they say something that seems to jar you from trance they can easily change what they are saying and bring you back, and use that jarring experience as fractionation to make the induction even more effective.
      There are also more techniques available in person than there would be in a remote session or a recording.
      IMO it is also much easier to deal with potential problems in person.
      Of course the negative side is that if the hypnotist is doing this professionally and not just with friends and relatives, they would need an office to see clients in person, making the overhead very expensive which would make the cost of sessions even more expensive. That is actually the biggest barrier for trained hypnotists to go professional.

    Hi Alicia, excellent question , very well explained answer 👍. Just a quick question and you may have covered this.. if you hypnotised someone to (example) cluck like a chicken when someone says hello then send them away .. does the hypnosis wear off or are they doomed to be locked up and thrown in the loony bin ,? Just curious and I know a professional hypnotherapist would never do it.

    • @grey_shadow
      @grey_shadow Před 5 lety

      For almost everyone, if a suggestion causes problems in daily life, and gets constant negative feedback, it will naturally go away pretty quickly under the pressure of real life. For a suggestion to endure, it needs the person to have a reason to keep the suggestion - sometimes just wanting the suggestion to work and be irresistible is enough; sometimes wanting to please the hypnotist does it; sometimes enjoying the outcome; sometimes having had it reinforced and re-established until it becomes a habit...
      So someone who enjoys the attention they get from clucking like a chicken every time someone says hello might retain the suggestion long-term, but most people will find it goes away on its own - the next time they sleep if not before.

    I’m just curious, do you know anyone who has experienced stage hypnosis? For example, when a hypnotist makes someone bark like a dog, lol. How does it feel for the person doing that? Are they consciously aware that their barking?

      actually it is a gift because it is much easier for you to use hypnotic suggestions if you want to. Please be aware that you cant be forced into doing things you do not want to do or violate against your "moral compass"

    How effective or accurate can be hypnosis between two people with different mother language? (example, you with english, and the patient, with spanish in mother language, with or without english learned, the two examples)

    • @chucku.farley981
      @chucku.farley981 Před 5 lety

      It can be quite effective. English is not my mother tounge although my English is pretty good and Alicias videos work quite well for me. Of course: The better you know a language the better the hypnosis works because seeking for the right meaning of a particular word can be quite a distraction, don't you think?

      Memories can be erased, but it is not a good idea. It might also be possible that erasing a memory without dealing with the emotions would not effect the problem since many people normally don't really remember the events that caused their problems.
      It is more effective to remove or balance the emotions with such events.
      A few specific techniques any NLP Practitioner (and many hypnotists) will know are:
      Change Personal History
      Fast Phobia/Trauma Cure
      VK Dissassociation
      Reimprinting
      Anchor Collapse
      People trained in Timeline Therapy specialize in resolving past events, and that is another term to look up.
