I thought the question was asking if hypnosis was more effective after taking certain drugs. It seems an odd question otherwise?

I used to use a LOT of painkillers for backpain (that was the main/legitimate reason, anyway). I realized that if I relaxed and went with the flow, I would get more bang out of any given dosage. I began to practice this regularly, amplifying the effect of the drugs. Eventually, I realized that I had inadvertently taught myself how to meditate, and that with practice I could do it without drugs. This realization is one of the main reasons why I was able to quit after more than a decade of using on a daily basis (although that took almost two years and was hellish at times; in case you are wondering, meditation and hypnosis also help relieve withdrawal symptoms).

I took that last questions as meaning completely different thing (as in does a command wear off etc.).
You're absolutely right though, it really is finding the right voice/tone/hypnotist etc.

I listened to a hypnosis file once high, it was the MOST insane thing I have ever experienced, I would feel like five times heavier and five times lighter and went so much deeper into trance than usually.

There can be benefits from using drugs - for someone who has trouble opening up and following the hypnotist's suggestions, a little drug use can do more good than harm. Having enough drugs to impair your thinking, though, quickly gets in the way of getting into trance. Also, bear in mind that caffeine is also a drug - and that can definitely get in the way of going into trance...
Hypnosis over time: the more you practice being hypnotised, the better you get. On the other hand, the longer it is since you were hypnotised and/or given a suggestion, on average, the less effect that suggestion will continue to have on you - but there are exceptions, and there are times when a suggestion can still work fully a decade or more after it was given, with no reinforcement beyond maybe a reminder. It varies a lot.
Hey Alicia, I wlll answer your question first. My favorite book is Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert because its very spiritual and embrace our creativeness! My favorite song is anything with a great beat or a empowering message! My favorite movie..well I actually have two.. Ferris Bueller's Day Off( because it was based in my hometown of Chicago) & LALA Land! Now my question is..If you ever go on a trip to the USA, what city or cities you would love to visit? (Please pick Chicago as one). Looking forward to next hypnosis video( I hope it is pretty cool)! Bye for now.

As for The States I've spent a bit of time there and I would love to go to Chicago. Other places in the US that I haven't been but would like to visit... Texas (lots of places), Alabama, New Orleans, Boston, Washington DC (LOTS!).

Is there a reason why for sleep aid hypnosis some nights I find it will work yet other nights it doesn’t?
I'm a few days late to this video but as always I HAVE to leave a comment on your videos Alicia. They brighten my day right up :) (it's dark where i am right now funny enough lol). Lets see Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde would be my recommended book. It's a great read especially if like mystery books. A song i'd pick is probably "lose yourself" or "not afraid" by the rap god himself Eminem. His music pumps me right up and reminds that anything is possible if you work hard enough :) Lastly a recommended movie oh god......... there's many so many i enjoy lol ummmm maybe Con-Air honestly i love that movie. That or "The fault in our stars". (yes i'm that kind of person who goes from action to sappy love movies in a snap) it's a great movie though so well made. Great videos as always.

I haven't had a fear that I've been hypnotised for as such. I've had hypnosis for anxiety so that kind of counts I guess. I've definitely spoken in a couple of videos about how I got started with hypnosis but I can't remember which videos exactly (eeeek). I'm sure I'll talk about it again. Or maybe someone can link it... :)
If you contrast the spelling and meaning of 'hypnosis' with 'hyp-Gnosis', in the first case you have the Greek equivalent of 'sleep'. In the second case you have the 'Gnosis' (also Greek) or science of going down into your self or unconscious, equivalent to sleep. So you really don't need drugs to go down into your unconscious mind ! Freud uses a Latin Trinity of EGO = I (or conscious mind), SUPEREGO or moral conscience and ID = thing or 'it' pertaining to the unconscious. It seems the Greeks practised the Gnosis in Aesclepians (forerunners of our hospitals). Asclepios was the God of Greek Medicine ! Sometimes they refer to the constellation of 'Ophiuchus'(the serpent handler) as the 13th sign of the Zodiac, and that 'Ophiuchus' is actually Asklepios, who is symbolized as an old Adept walking with a snake curled around a staff, and is immortalized in the stars ! It was all about connecting to the celestial stars in those days; nowadays, it's about connecting to the Holy Wood'...the Stars created by the Magick Wand of Hollywood !
I love red! Okay, so I have an experimental idea for you... could you do a fascination video with a focus on your lips? Meanwhile, you subtly mouth certain words silently with them and see if they become suggestible? Something that would be reflected in the viewer comments. It is weird, but I think it might work.

I wouldn't choose for the world. I hate the idea of compulsory curricula being imposed on all pupils even just nation wide.
