  • Here is a basic video on my brand new Kawasaki Mule PRO FXT 1000 Platinum Ranch Edition. Please subscribe as I will have lots of videos coming up on this machine. RECALL UPDATES. A recall has been issued and I go over it in the video. Questions I asked Kawasaki on May 3, 2024.
    1. Is there a fix? NO
    2. Is there a buy back program? NO
    3. Is there anything in place that covers my payments for a machine I can't use? NO
    4. How do I get it on the trailer if I can't start it to bring to dealer when there is a fix? Use a winch or push it. Your dealer may be able to help you by picking it up.
    5. Will warranty cover the machine now if I start it and it catches fire ect? NO
    6. Is there a class action law suit in place? Not that I am aware of.

    Thank you. I purchased the Kawasaki Mule 1000HD. I live in the Virgin Islands and bought it at a Orlando Kawasaki dealer and shipped it here. I have 500 hours in two months and love my Mule. If what you say is true I have a huge problem. There is no warranty here, no dealers and I could not even imagine shipping it back to the dealer. It cost about $3,000. to get it here. I will follow up with you when you find out what the resolve is.

    • @ruthoutdoors
      @ruthoutdoors  Před 2 měsíci

      You should have a warranty. I am guessing there is no dealer in the islands to fix it but I would think Kawi would warranty the part; if a new part is what the fix is. I am not sure how handy you are but these engines don't seem like they are too bad to work on. We oughta be able to figure something out. You have a unique situation. Let's monitor what Kawi says. I am hoping for an update soon. I will keep this thread updated and post another video as soon as I can get more information. I know these things happen, especially with 1st generation motors ect. Giving them a reasonable amount of time is appropriate....but I am not one to sit on my hands either.

If I knew it was on hot restart only, I could drive it and not shut it off until I am done with it for the day. Mine is sitting in the garage at my house and I have also pulled the key. I look every day for an update. I cannot find anything about the recall online. Offroad vehicles are not overseen by the NHTSA, but instead by the CPSC The Consumer Products Safety Commision. When I search on their site for recall information for these Mules, they don't show anything. Aren't all recalls supposed to be reported to them? OK I am a auto mechanic, and my way of thinking is , the combustion is supposed to happen in the cylinders . And the valve timing, controls the intake and exhaust of the fuel into the cylinder and the exhaust out of the cylinder, At no time combustion is supposed to enter the intake side of the engine , that is why they can build the intake side out of plastic, and the exhaust always has to be cast iron or steel pipe, header type material. I am thinking their must be something wrong with the engine design or valve timing . How does it run when it is running. I am thinking about buying one , and I came across this you tube video.

    • @ruthoutdoors
      @ruthoutdoors  Před 22 dny

      Well, that's why I am thinking this is going to be a computer flash and this thing should be good to go. From hear/say it takes 30minutes to fix it, but who knows. I have 24 hours on mine and it's a blast and a work horse. I looked at all the sxs out there and watched countless videos and reviews and I kept coming back to the mule. I purchased a 3 inch lift for mine and I am dying to install it with a little bigger tire. We are waiting on a government agency to approve kawasakis fix which is bull shit. I think you would be impressed with the mule, especially if you do any outdoor work ect. The model I have has self leveling shocks on it which is pretty cool. It''ll come in handy when I load the bed with deer corn.

      @ruthoutdoors  Před 23 dny

      My apologies. I do believe I posted photos in response to a question in one of the videos. The problem is a combustion issue. The "where" is within the intake manifold. So Kawi says. The "why" is what we are all waiting for. Your air intake is where the air comes in feom ambient air. Lift your dump bed and find the air intake. That piece goes to the throttlebody into the intake manifold, which then goes to the cylinder head. Somewhere in there "I'm guessing," is a fuel/air mixture issue. I am not sure. Those first couple pieces should have the same diameter to make the air flow freely. If not, we'll then maybe there is an issue. We don't know until kawasaki says we know. The problem may not exist there, and it may exist in the injectors. Too much fuel? To little fuel? Many variables to consider. When I get a chance I will point to where the issue may exist.- Ryan
