    Where I work at we have several of these PRO FXT 1000 LE Mules. They ride great and they drive great. When we first got them, everyone talked about how great they were. People still talk about them 6 months later. They get used and abused daily. We've had very few minor issues. If they actually belonged to an individual instead of everyone driving them, they'd last forever. The extendable bed is awesome. It's nice when you can take your help to the site and then go back and load the bed up with everything you need. I told my wife I'd love to have one to use on our property. It would most likely be the rig of choice for me. They're not that expensive for what you get and they're reliable.

    Almost makes me wish I had a "need" for 1. Appreciate your impressions. Totally agree with your opinions about what to get if you want to go fast vs a work vehicle. Shy of a rancher needing to use 1 of these things as an emergency rig to get help/get someone too help from out in the back 100 acre ranch from accident, chances are, don't really need the excessive speed on a work rig. One that won't give you the stability and confidence to go flat out.

    Great review Alex on new Kawasaki Mule👍100% on hand brake issue n rather having gated gearbox sector. With new Polaris would like see go head to head Kawasaki Mule.
    Update on our 3 year old base Kawasaki Mule with 3 cylinder diesel with over 10,500 on the clock, the Mule is starting get tied n CVT need servicing I believe as starting to slip, hand brake is frustrating as worn out. Plastic, bed, electronic are holding up, only repair is to seat at cost $950 plus $450 seat cover which have brought from the start. We added extra lights to back of bed frame which makes huge difference when reversing in dark. Any advice is get seat cover, extra lights n order parts when purchasing new Mule so having wait long time. Not sure if boss wants replace Mule yet but given Mule operates on dairy working near 24/7 I reckon might need one soon.

    Excellent video Alex. We have a Yamaha Viking. Very comparable to the Mule {_except that sliding bed (which my wife likes the look of). Can hit 55 mph on smooth gravel road with it but it's not made for that. Perfect for our Northern Michigan trails.

    13:49 I love the parking brake. I like being able to start the vehicle and take off, considering the amount I stop and go I don’t want to shift in and out of park everytime. If I need the brake on a hill I can just pull it then. Way easier than shifting Everytime. Also how are you roasting the parking brake? If I try to drive with on, the throttle pulses at about 4 mph telling ne I have it on. You cant go over 4 with it on. Great video btw. I have a 2019 and absolutely love it. I don’t think I need the speed on the farm. This one does everything I need it to.

    I don’t like how that display is the same one that is in my 2013 Teryx4 LE. It doesn’t need a huge 7in Nav display but more available information would be better, like the display in the KRX.

    Let’s get in touch Alex and I can show multiple place in Colorado that you change your mind on having a turbo rzr over that mule. Especially if you don’t own land. It would be useless and you won’t be able to half the trails the rzr. They are not just rock trails either plenty of wide open running at high elevation and mixture of terrain

    Nice looking vehicle. I would want a mule for plowing snow, so I'm guessing the HD would be the way to go

    The reason for a manual parking brake is…..if your on a steep incline and put the trans in park it’s hard to get it back in drive. And sometimes causes damage.

      These mules have a clutch like a snowmobile. There is no park. The machine is able to roll no matter the gear you are in if it is not running so you have to set the parking brake.

      @@d_brown0428 Not sure what you are trying to infer. I didn’t say anything about putting the engine into park. Just stated that the mule doesn’t not have park. It only has high, low, neutral, and reverse. No matter which position you have the shift selector in the machine will roll freely unless you either have the parking brake set or you rev the engine enough to get the CVT belt to engage.

    Finally a decent onboard review! Was this thing able to break the tires loose and get sideways? I know they wont lock the rear diff in 2wd…only 4wd. So that kinda sucks.

      What do you mean it wont lock in 2wd? I have a 2015 pro fxt le model and it will engage the diff lock in 2 or 4 wd. Maybe thats something they changed at some point?

      @@druesmith7961 yeah unfortunately on the new 2024 1000 models, the rear differential lock only actuates in 4wd. It wont do it in 2wd for whatever reason.

      Bout the same maybe less treble so seems like its quieter at speed more of a bass type exhaust note

      I don’t know what’s going on at Yamaha. The Viking is so long in the tooth now. I sold mine and moved on to a cab am defender. Love the defender but the seats were more comfortable in the Viking.

      It's a Wolverine. The Viking might get the 850 twin one day, but it's their entry level UTV and could not handle the 999cc engine without major suspension and chassis updates.

      I agree. Definitely needs adjustable driver seat or pedals. I sat in one last weekend and i cannot reach the pedals. Not everyone is over 6' tall.

    Too much power? Maybe...there's a fire risk recall on the 1000cc 2024 MULE PRO-FXT, PRO-FXRT &PRO-FX with NO FIX. All dealers have been ordered to stop sale.

    Kudos on the video, it was done well and you share a lot of information about the Mule. The only thing I don't understand is why anyone would want one when there are so many other options that perform much better and don't already look 20 years old. Maybe it's the simplicity of it all.......maybe because it's so ugly it's cute?

    Was considering the Mule until I realized that the old 3 cylinder gas engine is made in China. No thanks. Bought a Polaris Ranger instead. Is this new 999cc also made in China?

      ALL Kawasaki engines are assembled in the USA, in Maryville, Missouri.

      John Deere Gator XUV gas models use the identical Chinese Chery 812 3-cylinder engine as the old mule. They make 54HP in the Gator. Seems to be a good engine, but you think there’s nothing more American than buying a John Deere and find out the engine is Chinese after paying top dollar. Shameful in my opinion.
