  • All good things have to come to an end at some point and so does the Pike fishing season. The Spring Equinox has come and gone and so it's time to hang up the Pike rods and start thinking about other waters and other species. But before that just one last session to see if we can go out in
    style ?

Congratulations on a good year just the 24lb pike would have made my year nevermind the mind blowing 29lb pike effort rewarded 👍.
If I was a politician I suppose I could spin I have improved my river pb by 2lb. considering what was in the river I was on 25lb+ pike and I haven't seen anything close to that. Seeing a CZcamsr getting fish around that size from one of the swims didn't help. Most of my pike have been scraper doubles so quite disappointing overall.

Thank you your kind remarks, much obliged. Never be disappointed with a double because at the end of the day you can only catch what is in front of you and bigger river fish are rare creatures. Best wishes for your fishing mate 🤞🤞👍

@@amomentintimechannel1315 I possibly go a little distorted in my expectations after a few exceptionally good years.
between 2019/20 My go to Zander canal started producing a few upper double pike. The biggest two going 19lb and 20lb.
The next year a friend recommended to try a drain and I had a unbelievably good run 3 low twenties in a month.
Unfortunately this drain suffered a massive fish kill and almost certainly killed a thirty I knew about.
So this year it was time to really put the effort in targeting river pike my nemesis.
my mate actually had some decent mid doubles on the river this year.
Just a note on your frozen liquidised fish blocks. A lad on the river i was fishing was using it in a feeder and really recommend it.
The slight problem was getting a few pike picking up his feeder and not the bait. He has had some massive pike so It must be doing something right

@@robertdenman153 that's the way with Pike fishing Robert and it is a big part of the fun, "you just never know". Interesting about the frozen fish in a feeder, it did cross my mind that it could happen when I was trying to decide on what string to use on my cage. The thought of playing a large Pike tangled up with the cage lead me down the multi strand camping cord route 😂😂😂😂
