    I have seen HMS Queen Elizabeth. Great looking ship. Respect to all UK armed forces. Speaking as a former U.S. Naval officer who worked closely with RN and RAF units during my assignment to NATO in the 1970's, they are a very professional force and would gladly serve along side them again. God bless HMS Queen Elizabeth and all those who sail in her.

      Dear Park S. .. your sentiments are duly noted here. But Sir, please don't lose sight of the "larger picture" of the larger & wonderful tribute in this
      song. And personally I believe you are likely not losing sight, and that you DO understand the larger picture.
      And from an American (who has some Welsh blood) .. we are also informed that the singer (Ms. Jenkins) herself has a Welsh background. Yet she sees the larger tribute here too .. and so eloquently has communicated a deeper "intent" of this song by this song's author ... (Sir Cecil Spring Rice) .. a former diplomat to the USA.
      This song has a "duel tribute". That of the Mother Country (eg. England, .. AND later .. Britain, and later UK) .. but more importantly ...
      the great Family of Almighty God's ... and His Coming Kingdom. The latter draws from ALL humanity ... eg.. those who have given their souls OVER .. to the Lord Jesus Christ .. the Son of Almighty God .. (this Earth's Savior). In his latter years, .. it is said that Sir Cecil Spring Rice understood God's Grace (for himself, and for repentant humanity .. (from every "willing tribe") .. and for God's "Coming Kingdom". And he (Sir. Cecil) longed for that righteous (and coming) Kingdom (his ultimate country and homeland). IT seems that Ms. Jenkins herself perhaps knows of these things ? .... for it is said that she TOO is a "Biblical Christian". No ??

      I am an American have been wondering for quite sometime now what is your national anthem I believe it is God Save The Queen. But i do so love this I listen to it often. I know alot about your history in the UK cause our history came from yours. Our original anthem was My Country Tis Of Thee. Look it up. Same toon as God Save the Queen. Then Francis Scott Keys wrote the poem and someone else can't remember the name put the music to it and we now have the national anthem Walla!! We do have our marine hymes and Army and navy stuff can't remember them all. And my dad was a captain in the Army but nothing so strong as that beautiful song. I shall have to look it up to see who wrote it. I always merit the England for her strong History of ruling the world and the history of the Royal family. I admire your queen perhaps there is corruption or not. I love my own privacy.. should never had let that Harry dude marry that American.. Me too, including the verse that’s all too often left out (the one starting with “I heard my country calling away across the sea”), it was the collect hymn just before the vows and I chose it on these grounds:
      - about the concept of making a vow, which is what weddings are about
      - my husband’s family has military ties
      - it has been associated with weddings for the past 40 years owing to it being used at Prince Charles and Diana Spencer’s wedding

    E silenciosamente, alma por alma, a luz dela cintila incessantemente
    E suas estradas são de doçura e todos os seus destinos são a Paz* (placitude*)

    Would that this song should be adopted as a new patriotic anthem of the USA, especially as we recover from the selfishness of the previous administration. “ I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
    Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
    The love that asks no questions, the love that stands the test,
    That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
    The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
    The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.”
    These are words that a crude fool could never utter, but the utterance of them should be a requirement to hold high office in this country.

      Long ago in the sixties you had a President who uttered similar word, Ask not what your Country can do for you but what you can do for your Country. Spoken by President J F Kennedy after taking the Oath of Office. I was in my early teens when I heard this on the radio. I have never heard inspirational words. From across the pond UK

    This song could be applied to any country so i sing it here in America. Patriotism is universal or should be.

    I've been saying forever now that this should be the National Anthem, while God Save the King/Queen should remain the Royal Anthem. It makes so much sense.

    1.
    I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above,
    Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love;
    The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test,
    That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best;
    The love that never falters, the love that pays the price,
    The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
    2.
    .I heard my country calling, away across the sea,
    Across the waste of waters, she calls and calls to me.
    Her sword is girded at her side, her helmet on her head,[6]
    And around her feet are lying the dying and the dead;
    I hear the noise of battle, the thunder of her guns;
    I haste to thee, my mother, a son among thy sons.
    3.
    And there's another country, I've heard of long ago,
    Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know;
    We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
    Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
    And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase,
    And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.
