- PCB robots are fun. Especially when they are omnidirectional. In this video I have built a three and a four wheeled omnidirectional PCB robot based on an ESP32-S2. It has an OV2640 camera on board which's stream can be viewed via a webserver. As I made a mistake for the four wheeled robot it is not able to drive yet, but new PCBs are already in the lab. Next robots are based on ESP32-S3 and additionally comes with other huge features! Stay tuned!

The pico click control is so satisfying to watch in action! 😊
The response is better than I could imagine beforehand haha 👌🏻
How does it sense when the pico click is turning around the vertical axis? gyroscope accelerometers?
@@mafiosomax7423 I could imagine that it is also using a magnometer, but let's see what the master replies 🙂
@@nkronert Using the earth's magnetic field? If that's strong enough it would be wicked
@@mafiosomax7423 it is strong enough for compases and a magnometer is basically a solid state compass.
this is so incredible. i can't believe one person can do this. this is the work of like a 40 person team at hasbro
You made my day! Thank you 😍
@@makermoekoe I was going to say the same thing. How/Where does one start to know how to make/design PCB boards and stuff like that. I have many plans of doing projects like that but my electrical knowledge is limited. I would appreciate some advice.
@@consig1iere294 You need to start with simple things and move forward as you advance and learn on the way. That's how many do and improve. Start with simple breadboarding stuff and when you feel you are ready, then you can move on to something like KiCad, Altium and similar PCB design software. Many PCB design software titles have good tutorials on CZcams to get things going.
Dont't forget ChatGPT 😂
@@consig1iere294 Forgot to mention EasyEDA as one of the easiest PCB design apps for beginners. I really liked it when I was trying different things. It's great for more or less standard tasks.
That pico click control looked like magic. Amazing work!
It would be really cool if you could tell it focus on something (either manual coords or basic image recognition) and it would handle the rotation by itself to always keep something in frame no matter where it drives around.
Yes, this would indeed be very cool! Should try this for the next PCB version 👌🏻
Your fit, finish and attention to aesthetics are second to none! Thank you for making and making videos
Thank you so much! Glad to hear so 😍
Watching you soldering this board with components is SOO satisfying!
You are a genius, that pico click motion control is just on another level..
😯 Thank you!
when no one knew when would he return... he did.. masterpiece
It was truly a long period without a video 😓 Thank you!

@@makermoekoeI love this piece so much! I really want the code of the car. Is it convenient to share it?
Fantastic! Just a friendly tip from a space engineering student - you don’t need to press the components into the solder paste. The molten solder will do the magic and align them perfectly during reflow. Pressing down could cause some solder paste smearing, which might lead to bridges or misalignment. Keep up!
Great project, the movement is so smooth and responsive, thanks for sharing it with us
Thanks for your feedback! 🥰
@@makermoekoewhat did you graduate with an EE or ME degree?
Awesome to see new projects coming along, Moe!
Keep it up!
Glad to hear - thank you 😍
As a DIY enthusiast, it's really exciting to see your work. thank you!
You're amazing for many reasons. You made us smarter. So much more to say....there is so much to compliment you Sir. People like you should be celebrities NOT the useless movie stars. Thank you so much.
As a maker, I can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge. Absolutely brilliant content!
Extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for sharing!
Wow! Absolutely amazing! So inspiring, I just want to start ordering parts and pull out my soldering iron now!
I love it! Thank you for sharing this piece of "awesomeness" with the rest of us!
Glad to hear! Thanks ☺️
i admire and respect this million time , pico control was so out of world
When you busted out that unique control method i thought that was the coolest thing ever. The configuration 1 seemed the best. It's like playing a Wii game in real life. This is such a good start to a great project. Insane quality. I just subscribed.
you make individual challenge go to another level . 👏
I'm graduating on electronics engineering and dream with being capable of creating projects that are as clean and miniaturized and incredible as your man, you are my inspiration! Thank you so much for actually creating this content and also for sharing the picoclick and the other stuff with us!! You're awesome!
this is so freaking cool!! Love it~~
Muito legal. Acho que esse projeto merece uma câmera 360º
Boah.. Wow! Das ist krass... das kleine Ding da kann in alle Richtungen fahren. Das ist krass.
perfect project!
The prototype sounds so easy. Nice job
Subscribed, great work and showing all the process!
Omniwheel robots are so cool. I did a very compact version on Thingiverse that mounts the motors above the wheels and uses a belt to transfer power. Lots of work still to do but it's been a fun project. SMT soldering is another bucket-list project, you make it look so easy!
Ich bin unfassbar fasziniert und neidisch. Diese das wissen und die Fähigkeiten für sowas zuhaben ist nur beeindruckend. Danke
Wow, vielen Dank 😍😳
This is so cool.
Bro I love your work❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, so cool! I love watching your builds.
Thanks man! 😍
Congratulations on your work and thanks for sharing your work. All the best .
Thank you! 😍
This is so inspiring, thanks for sharing, loved your bot and your smd pcb!!
Thank you 😍🙏🏻
how much weight does it support? I want to ride it
This robot suitable go to mars! Amazing work!
Hi, nice work thank you
Jean-François
This is unimaginable. Really hard work. Moreover you are interested in it and have invested 100% of yourself that's what makes you perfect. Greetings from Hamburg
i love it, the board routing is so pretty
Thank you! I always put a lot of time into the design haha
Exceptional quality of the build. For tracking how much and which direction has the robot moved, can you use the sensor from an optical mouse?
So impressive! Im much more into the mechanical engineering side of things, so the ease with wich you put all this together looks like witchcraft for my. I love how basic - meaning clean and functional - your self-made equipment is. Seriously, I, just in this video - the first of yours I saw - learned about the existence of at least tree manufacturing techniques / use cases for pcb's. I'm blown away.
Btw: you have to put the *mostly assembled* pcb (minus the motors) in your shop. For my own I'd like to make adjustments to the motor size and config. but I'd not like to mess with the soldering or the code. Should be easy enough to hook an Arduino into the analog motor output.
Dude, you make such cool stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! ☺️
that pcb is looking amazing
Awesome job! I love the controller, will love to buy one of those to have fun around, looking forward for the new one. Great job!
Thank you so much! 😋 One day it will be available 👍🏻
Here is a real engineer, awesome work!
Loving it! great job! can't wait until next video!
Thank you so much!
Hey, love the videos! I wanted to try to recreate your GPS tracker you built a little over a year ago and wanted to ask if a material list was available, since the linked websites don't exist anymore? Keep on creating, the projects are amazing!
Respect!!!!!
There is nothing more satisfying than a symmetric pcb
True! For me, PCBs are not only electrical boards, they are a bit of art as well 😀
Amazing 😍😍😍
Good job man, I love how "easy" it is to bring ideas into reality with the 3D Printers and Low cost PCB manufacturer.
Thank you!
Everything turned out better than expected.
😱 Thanks! 😍
this is great for drones 👍👍, great job
13:00 that was insane for me, as a software eng. I just think in how much time a should spand to understand all the protocols a mix the software and everything, the hardware integration and specifications. not just that but the maket as well, to find vendors and all the stuff.. dude, you are amazing, congratulations, I am proud of you just like a mother! 😄
- super projekt, czekam kiedy będzie w sprzedaży
Awesome project! Are you planning to add a negative feedback control using an IMU for the robot's wheel movements, or is there one already in place when you control with the joystick on the app?
What do you mean with robot‘s wheel movements? I have 9-DOF on the robot integrated, but not for every wheel. Actually in this video I‘m not using the IMU at all, will work with it with the new PCBs 👍🏻
sweet. now I'm going to have to find that hot plate build...
Wirklich starkes Projekt 🎉. Tolle Leistung 👍😃
Danke Benni 😍
Genius ! You should make a high scale "karting" version, would be extremely fun to drive!
Excellent work! Adding FPV with lower latency will be great!
Working on it 🙏🏻 Thank you!
Realmente genial y con un esp32 espero probar pronto el esp32 buen trabajo 👍
This is incredible! Amazing work- congrats 🎉 12:17
Thanks 😍
What an amazing project. Any chance you would be willing to offer this as a kit for purchase?
This is really cool man thank you for sharing! Quick question: for the server/robot connection did you use a websocket? If so, are there any websocket client libraries you recommend? Thanks so much!!
Awesome job man!!!
woah thats a really cool project great job!
Thank you ☺️
Wow! Impressive build!

Okay, that PicoCLick controller is a thing I really want to learn how to do, I have a Star Wars droid build planned that it would be very cool for. And oh look! There's a video that appears to be about that. How wonderful!
Glad you found it, if anything’s unclear, then please let me know 😀👍🏻
great stuff thanks for detailed video
