- These running shoes quickly became my favorites, but unfortunately they have taken more of a backseat due to one major issue. I'll tell you all about it in this review of the Pulsar Trail Pro 2's.

All the things you love about the shoes dont matter, if you can not run in them!!
I have similar issue (hotspot) with S/Lab Genesis. What had helped me - is cutting one lace holder (the one that closes to fingers) and it solved the issue.
I shared a review of the Trail Pro 2 as well. I found the shoe to be a lot of fun to run in. I, fortunately, didn't have any hot spots or heel/ankle issues. I enjoy the shoe a lot and even considered it for my 100k trail race, but ultimately chose not to use it in my ultra race because the Trail Pro 2 feels a tad top heavy or tipsy. So, I'll be using my trusted TERREX Speed Ultra instead. Great video as always!
Oh really? Did you roll your ankle a lot?
@@JustAnotherRunner I rolled my ankle once which isn't necessarily uncommon, but it does feel a little more unstable compared to other trail shoes (Saucony Ride 15 TR, TERREX Speed Ultra, New Balance Summit Unknown v4).
Speed ultra for 100k?
@@ADyess086 Yep! Might be a little too 'low stack height' of a shoe for some but it worked out great for me! There was also a number of stream crossings and that shoe sheds water very well. Here's the video if you want to check it out: czcams.com/video/ogpTTB5_d7Y/video.html
@@SeeChadRun I was looking at that exact shoe. I’m a huge adidas fan with a full rotation for road shoes. I was very hopeful for their trail shoes but a little hesitant it might be too minimum for me. I’m training for my first ultra (50K)
I had that same hotspot with the sense ride 2/3, can’t remember which. It got so bad I had a callus in that spot for a year afterward!
That's dedication! Running in shoes that rub enough for a callus haha
I had the exact same issues with the roll of the Pulsar Trail Pro original, but it didn't start happening until about mile 200 for me. I wonder if its a design flaw of the plate.
Interesting that it took you that long! I bet you're right about the plate.
Exact same experience. LOVE the shoe but get a hot spot in the exact same spot which is really bad on downhills. I took them out for 13 miles and my toe had purple spots from the weird flex.
such a bummer! Because i love the shoe besides that!
Any guys have experience of this and the slab pulsar.. the slab pulsar for me I'm happy with but not so durable
I wonder how they compare to the hoka zinal 2 which in my opinion is the trail shoe of 2023

@@JustAnotherRunner I was in limbo between these and the ultra glide 2. I’ve watched both your reviews on each. What’s your general preference?
@@ADyess086 Honestly I prefer these shoes but they give me a bit of a hotspot on long dusty runs so I run in these for anything less than 10 and I'll use the ultra glides for longer ones.
@@JustAnotherRunner I appreciate the feedback. So far I love these and have a pair of the original ultra glides I found on steep discount in the mail. I guess I could just keep a similar rotation, perhaps. I, too, own the sense ride 5. Like that shoe for versatile all around.
