It gave you an erection as well?
Was gonna say, get these boys some cowboy killers
Had to stop watching for this
Understandable if you saw the AI workout where they started out with cardio 😂
😂
I didn't have a 1 RM thruster before this morning. Guaranteed PR!
Appreciated this. Tho I think Dylans mic was attached to his mustache. Unmatched breathing audio quality.
Dude was HUFFIN’
SOTS Press for warm-up...
99% of people: **no chance**
Honestly, this was the type of videos that got me onto this channel in the first place. Thanks
Ok, now I’m much more impressed with Craig Richey’s max thruster! He hit 125 smoothly and then 135 with a tiny jerk after doing the workout!
ZT! thank you for putting this out there so fast fo us dirty little crossfitters haha, thank you Dylan too
did you end up getting it ?
I’ve always found the rebound effect from a cluster to be the best
Great tip on the full hip extension before pressing, I'm going to stay mindful of this! Thanks boys!
Thank you!! I watched this Friday. Did some drills the night and then on Saturday I focused on not using arms until hips extended and hit 270!!! Appreciate you both!
Loving the videos guys, you two are beasts. Dylan is so clean on every lift it's unreal.
Super proud of my score!
23.2A: 76 reps
23.2B: 225 LBS
Unreal video. Thanks guys!
Just started the video with surround sound. Zack is on my left and Dylan is on my right 😂 I FEEL IMMERSED
Thnks a lot! I will do this warm-up for a better performance!
Awesome video. Maybe just me but I didn't know anything about this movement and I'm gonna try it now.
thanks for this. 55yr old crossfitter here (well i go to crossfit, in the end i'm just a hack). after almost dying during the shuttle run/burpee pull up portion, was able to incorporate a little of what you guys said in the thruster and i hit an 80 kg max. that was fun. thanks zack and dylan
This session is just golden knowledge for a beginner like me, served in the most casual way, good stuff.
love the positive attitude much more
those empty barbell sots presses have become a staple for me and my clean and jerk prep!
These are the best zt vids
Bjj school owner here, just wanted to say you're my favorite content creator lately by far. Thanks.
I have never done this 1 rm max thruster before I followed all your cues . I hit 85lbs comfortably when I really thought 65 would be it
Okay what are those clips!? They’re dope!
Ready for the nicky rod video
Big key I found is speed out of the hole. Bar speed focus out of the hole and gliding that bar up.
Wow amazing tip.
if u ever meet clarence or the sika boys again, pls include them in the series
Glad you left in the breathing part at the start
Wish I'd been a follower when this came out. I hit 195- with these tips I could have hit 200+ (lbs)
I’m really enjoying this heavy breathing asmr
Weightlifting has tons of carry over to other sports, not just crossfit, even in the specificity obsessed powerlifting world; if you think Papa Klokov's snatch grip deadlift won't carry over to your conventional then we go to different churches
Snatch grip deads broke my 2 year plateau and took me from 180kg to 210kg in about 3 months time. Just added 10kg per month to my lift like it was nothing.
dig it. i don't like the power clean to thruster technique for this. cluster is the way to go.
I think CFG is allowing a power clean. This is from the workout rules "A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed but not required when the bar is taken from the floor" and "The rep must be completed in one fluid motion from the bottom of the squat. A front squat followed by a jerk is not allowed."
Sure - you can start Fran with a power clean too if that is easier
What are the best beginner programs for Oly lifting
and you can power clean adjust and then go into the thruster
Chris sunbathing in the background, prob listening to 4 audiobooks simultaneously, just absorbing
Need to figure out this audio situation
I’m having a hard time telling these fellas apart.
SAME!😂 For the first 30 seconds, I thought ZT edited a clone of himself in the video!
Are you planning to do a Q&A anytime soon?
I have Zack's voice on the left and Dylan's on the right wtf? ASMR?
hello cool vídeo…. what is the name or brand of those closures / clips..?
You mentioned making sure to use the bigger bumper plates. . . Why?
0:45 don't know why but paused here makes me laugh
So valuable!!! I’m the only CrossFit athlete in my family….everyone else in my family are into Oly🤣 They hate me🤣
Rightfully so
💪
the bench is great. would love to see a flower pot filled with chalk
Dylan breathing like a mammoth
Ok help me understand the difference. Thrusters vs clean and press
What happens if your clean < your 1rm thruster? I got 106kg and could have done more- just my clean may have failed before my thruster.
I can barely do the sotts press let alone the thruster.😢
Push push push got it ;)
source for torokhtiy quote?
Why not use comp plates? What's better about hi-temp?
Cheaper, quieter, more durable for using one plate on its own due to greater surface area, and probably the reason they are recommending them - increased whip because they are wider. Only downside is you can't fit as much weight on the bar which is a big problem for squats and pulls but not so much thrusters and push press etc for all but the strongest.
@@AfferbeckBeats thanks for the explanation. Increased whip is the only reason I could think they might be saying it for this particular application. Just didn't think it would have that much of an effect. In either case, I did use them and PRed my thruster by 12lbs at 197lbs last night after 23.2a. I'm pretty pumped!
I wonder if Boz was listening to Zach when he put the thruster in his top 3???
Also, most crossfitters are well aware that you need to pop the barbell out of your front rack before you start pressing.
great info... about 2 hours too late! kidding. thanks gents.
You can power clean.
what adidas are those?
I love that barbell
I believe it's made by bells of steel
I would like to believe everyone can do a front rack but some just do not have that mobility.
the zt dozer duo might be my all time favorite duo tbh
Why no competition plates? Didn't understand that if you arent bouncing anything off the floor?
Ily2, Telly
The ocean sounds playing in the background make it a little tough to appreciate the info.
Coach say must do 1,000 times, and must to put stank on bar!
asmr
If Ghost Adventures lifted.
I tried this press thing. Fell forward on my face and slammed my knee in the concrete floor. May need work huh?
Dylan breathes like a dragon
Homie sounds like he just finished 23.2a before he put on the mic.
Olympic weightlifting is the skateboarding of the lifting world
Obnoxiously technical & difficult, stupid dangerous and most days you fail more than you make lifts/tricks. Checks out
It’s the inline rollerblading of the lifting world
@@flugrugger1benji585 I think bodybuilding would be Inline roller blading
Why is the man in the all black breathing so hard!!!
For the algo gainz
+2 engagement points
9:05 before I couldn't make it past that breathing...
Gonna need more backward hats next time
Absolutely wack that we’re cutting 3x during the thruster tip in the intro 😵💫 ily btw
Tha bois are color coordinated and my wiener is chaffed. Happy Friday to us
*Me thinking the concussion brain dmg has finally set in when you guys repeat word for word a scene at 40 seconds in and 8 minutes in.
Isnt that 127kg?
thruster? i dont even know her!
Dylan needs some CrossFit lol….why he breathing so damn hard the whole video?
Now we know what Dylan's girlfriend has to listen to.
You guys have to be completely exhausted and your forearms burnt out and your legs tired from running and jumping before your 5 min thruster max 😂
This split audio is weird in headphones, also makes me think of a friend who's deaf in one ear, just something to think about - no hate, only good vibes here!
It's also weird if you watch with phone audio. One voice comes out of the main speaker and sounds fine. The other comes out of the tiny top speaker and is super muddy and distorted. Probably just have both guys in stereo in the future
@@danoeb-g418 Or still have them panned - I do think it's a cool idea - but not hard 100% pan left/right, just slightly more to one side or the other. One more thing I noticed, the heavy breathing, when it's only on the right is much more noticeable and distracting than it would be if it was mixed more.
Good cues, but your buddy definetly needs some conditioning training. Heard of crossfit?
I don't think the standard allows for a power clean.
sure it does.
@@BernhardKohli +1 (it does)
Bro needs to do more cardio. Practice some nose breathing
