    Entirely spring 2018 harvested tea from pure assamica bushes growing in Meng Song village. Meng Song village is northwest from the Nan Nuo mountains and is a very famous tea producing area in Menghai County of Xishuangbanna.
    This is a fruity and sweet (like sugarcane juice) white tea that will improve wonderfully with age. Thick and viscous, it will go many steeps!
    Cha Nong Hao Brand (lit. Tea Farmer Brand 茶农号) is a small project of Ms. Guo, a Yunnan local tea aficionado. She's been involved in the Pu-erh tea world for many years but is finally doing her own small batch pressings of ripe and raw pu-erh teas that she has sourced through her many travels in the tea mountains of Yunnan!
    April 2018 Harvest (pressed in December 2018)
    250 Grams per cake (7 cakes per bamboo leaf tong)

    Hi Scott! These white tea cakes sound so good. You have me wanting to buy this one or a few from YS. 😄 I love the sweetness you described in this one and beautiful wrapper. And glad Lucy was able to enjoy some snacks while drinking a delicious tea. ✨🍵😊

    This looks so yummi. So much tea so little time. I envy you for having to drink plenty all day in a proper setting for professional reasons.

    What beautiful cake! Btw, what water boiler are you using? Does it do exact temperatures?

    • @Yunnansourcing
      @Yunnansourcing  Před 5 lety

      It's a Breville... It does not do various temperatures. There are others out there that do.

    Hey Scott, I was wondering whether or not you think it would be worthwhile to age this tea for a few years. I usually keep all my white tea cakes together in a brown paper bag that I store in a cool, dry, odor-free cabinet in my basement. However, I have no real experience aging tea, so your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

      I do recommend aging this for a few years. You can store like you would pu-erh in the same space with raw pu-erh. Keep humidity 50-65% RH, keep dark.

    Scott-how long have you had THAT Breville? Any problems? I have the OXO gooseneck which is nice however not much capacity.

      I've had it for 3 years... very sturdy and good kettle. It's big and heavy though.
