I spent way too long on this and I think I have a problem.

I can understand why dale is like this, his childhood was terrible so of course a childhood trauma can change someone to the worst or best
Especially when you were imprisoned by a very evil person for years
Also being the son of Doug Dimmadome probably meant he was also spoiled by his father.
@@ECKohnsshockingly quite the opposite, pretty much dumped aside.
Which explains why now as an adult he is such a monster
I thought he’d be somewhat more humble after going through such tormoil.
@@juanamezcua7171Timmy looks like a 40-50 year old man imagine if Vicky returns as your classic evil old lady
Bro got triggered just hearing the word "tickets"
Guess Crash Nebula on Ice still left a scar
It's hard to hate the guy when you remember it was Vicky's fault in the first place we all saw the lemonade episode
Honestly, it's pretty fascinating that Dale was actually in the original *and* has a surprisingly tragic backstory.
Plus, if you look at the release dates of his debut and a new wish, he actually seems to have aged in real time.
Wow. Vicky really ruined Dale's life trapping him in that lemonade den, and the long-term consequences are far and wide for him and Dimmsdale.
Vicky can be the Greater-Scope Villain for the Fairly OddParents: A New Wish because she ruined Dale's life and took away his childhood. I want to see Devin seeking revenge on Vicky and make her pay for what she has done to his dad. If Devin learns the suffering of his father at the hands of Vicky, Devin would his godparent to make Vicky suffer.
I like that last bit. Dale won't look at his son in the eye, unless it's about money
Holy sh they picked up a throw away character and turned them into an actual character
It doesn't justify his behavior, but I think Vicky's sweat shop traumatized him and now he has a warped view of power and guardianship.
Vicky ruined his future
Also Dale acted the way how Doug dimmadone treated him: forgot about his own child just to focus on being a tycoonist
I'm not Dimma-Disowning you.... but I am mighty Dimma-Disappointed Son
Is that Dale Dimmadome? Son of Doug Dimmadome? Owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome!
That’s right!
He looks like the average yt family vlogger "dad"
I didn’t hear a single Dimsdale Dimmadome reference, I am immeasurably dissapointed, and my day is ruined. He coulda introduced himself as Dale Dimmadome, inheritor and CEO of the Dimsdale Dimmadome

I blame Vicky for this one!!! She caused Dale so much trauma and abuse to his life
And to think Timmy turner gave him the last sip of magic lemonade to wish for his dad
He’s a disgrace to the Dimmsdale Dimmadome fourtune.
0:21 working in a factory? More like enslaved. Something tells me he went through intense therapy to block out the truth
There’s something kind of interesting that, despite not being the best father, he’s still by his own standards being a better father to his son than his own father was to him, considering that he’s not working in a basement and is buying his son everything he wants. Part of the reason he doesn’t understand his son’s desire for connections is likely because he never got any himself
Dale only looking his son in the eye when they talk about money or business is an amazing animation detail / character quirk.
It shows that Dale only values his son for how he can benefit from him, and also shows the animators did care about what they were doing.
the show may have been low hanging fruit, but the animators really put their dimmadussy into it
Ok but the first clip of the helicopter falling to the ground and blowing up was actually fucking hilarious lmao
The fact that it has the tag "one-time use helicopter" on the side absolutely kills me
Shows how horrible these people are
Pilot offed himself before spending another second working for this douche
Haven't seen this show but I will say they actually did a pretty good job of translating the original art style to computer animation!
I wish they did better with the main characters curly hair though, I'm guessing they struggled with the texture but her texture would have been better translated into the style with simpler shapes and tight swirling lines
Huh. I never thought that random side character from the episode where they sold Cosmo's magic sweat lemonade would ever be utilized again.
Its all vicky's fault that dale turned out like this...
I actually love how they use Dale in this show! It's very logical that abused kid becomes spoiled like that and his son is a good way of showing modern Bucksoplenty type of kid))
0:21 WAIT WHAT, there actually paying attention to the LORE.
It's actually really interesting that we get Dale's tragic backstory before we see him as an antagonist.
Also, with there being about 20 years between his appearance in the Fairly OddParents and a New Wish, it seems like he aged in real time!
Interesting how the in-universe media features the characters in the old 2D style. It's not even offputting, which is a surprise.
When I see that trash been, all I can think of is Mr. Frog.
man it feels weird having a sequal series being GOOD, used to cartoon network chibiifying stuff
RIP Doug Dimmodome...
YOU MEAN THE OWNER OF THE DOUGSDALE DIMMODOME!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOII😭
@@bananadoppiounderhell7517 thats right, Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimadome
He will be missed 😔
Interesting that Dale’s a main villain
At least he's... with his kid I guess.
He went from one tooth, to having a mouth full of gold teeth….baller
Guess most of those wouldn't be bany teeth he lost so... Good detail
He was trapped down there for seven years???
That means vicky was able to subdue and trap him when she was nine, damn
Sound like her.
Not a huge achievement for Vicky seeing how Dale would've been somewhere between 3 and 6 years old then.
0:16 they acknowledge that one episode really!!! 😂
ppl in the comments gotta remember that vicky isnt soley the responsible one for the way dale turned out, she was a big part of it (7 years, under a lemonade stand, with no sunlight is crazy) but doug didnt go looking for him at all, and he himself isnt much better the dude sold cow milk that mind controlled people just to just in one of his fancy houses he sold and he (admitibly unknowingly) almost cooked everyone in dimmsdale while they were chickens with this type of excitment i cant describe, dale definatly got it from more then one place lmao
Still choose to believe the Pixies might be involved, due to how Business he is.
They would be all "He's just like us." *I agree sir, not like that clown of a guy*
twas that a reference
i would love to see the pixies return.
they're my favorite villains
Disregarding all the claptrap about a second Fairly Odd Parents show, gotta say, I really like the animation style. Doesn’t look that bad compared to that SpongeBob spinoff as Kamp Koral or whatever it was
reminds me of aardman's style for some reason
I hope Timmy and the rest of the old characters get to return too. Hopefully some of them don’t end up like Dale
That's crazy I remember the original episode he was in. I'm old, my kids would have thought nothing of that reference.
tbf that is a neat design to make all the teeth gold and keep one normal instead of the regular way
I think someone called the gold teeth "an extravagant purchase for a worse outcome", since his teeth now just look more rotten
Perhaps he did it as a personal reminder.
Homelander without the super powers but rich
You mean Homelander without powers because Homelander is technically also rich. While he himself is not rich, He’s got all of Vought’s was behind him
Edit: He’s probably close to Fiction 500 levels of rich as Vought is basically Amazon, Disney, Microsoft/Sony, Exxon, Nike, Kelloggs, General Mills, and a bit of McDonald’s all rolled up into one as pretty much whatever you can think of Vought makes or does in their universe
"im disappointed in you son, where is your giant hat" is all I could think about watching this
Dale Dimmadone is basically how Butch Hartman is in real life.
Neat they brought a one off character back and kept continuity up with his backstory. Even making his poor childhood part of his greed.
It took me forever to realize that this character was in the og show. The lemonade episode XD this show has some good continuity!
How interesting that Dale is now passing the torch as the antagonist his father was
People say Vicky ruined his life, but to me it more seems like he's followint what his dad was
An antagonist that focuses on tryong to up his company's profits
Doug was a corporate overlord but he had his good moments. In the special where Timmy goes into a TV Doug spent a good portion of his life to undermining Vicky. Promoting a Song that insulted her made by Chip Skylark and when he points out how evil she is to Timmy’s parents he even says “what did you think that song meant?” He was an active member of Dimmsdale and many events he hosted went towards improving it. Doug was a calculated Business Man but he had a heart. Dale just spent his life of wealth and newfound power to compensate for trauma in his childhood. Vicky still haunts him and influences his beliefs and actions
Dale Dimmadome only appeared in TWO episodes, one was which a cameo in Channel Chasers, in the entire original series, so seeing him in the new show was so outta left field. Not unwelcomed tho!
The ripples of Vicki's evil last longer than her presence through one of her worst victims
Dale has some strong ass genes, because Dev looks exactly like him
First clip in and I immediately think him and Clay Puppington would get along great.
Wonder if he ever married a Dimmadame, or if Devon there is Dimmadopted?
Since they look so similar, I won’t be surprised that he spent money to have himself cloned and raising himself solo
So he's a Dimmadoppleganger
A dimmadouble
7 years in the basement. Not a peep
Vicky made a number on him, wonder what would happen if he meet her now.
Several arresting charges
I have 3 outcomes of what would happen
He would flinch and tremble and ...
1. He'd cower in fear and beg for mercy asking Vicky to not hurt her
2. He'd would feel honored and thanked her making him for what he is
3. Or he would get revenge on her and get even for ruining his life
@@MrDannymations54 leaning heavily on number 3
@@jaykay8426 ok you chose number 3, interesting choice
@@MrDannymations54 to be honest i hope we eventually see vicky and see her essentially become FOP's version of Snake Jailbird from the simpsons since you know that eventually those decades of child abuse would eventually catch up to her (like even if she shows up in like season 3 at the earliest or something)
I prefer the old dale dimmadome, owner of the dimsdale dimmadome
That’s Doug Dimmadome owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome, not Dale Dimmadome as Dale Dimmadome is the son of Doug Dimmadome owner of the Dimsdale Dimmadome.

All right, fine
I dimmadont know what i was saying
I legitimately hope he got his revenge on Vickie.
I mean the Vicky bot could have been HIS invention, after he tricked her into signing away her rights to babysitting for a check. Which he purposely made bounce.
"I'm Mr. Dimmadome, Here's a check for one million dollars, all you have to do is sign here"
*Ooo money, you got a deal. I'll never have to work again!!!*
"Thanks! Oh by the way.... SIKE!!!"
Talk about character development. But even though it was great his wish found his way out of Vicky’s clutches, his father Doug Dimmadome spoiled him and turned him into a elitist creep.
Can't blame his dad, he didn't saw his son for 7 years, he lost his childhood and probably the only way to connect with him was through shallow materialism.
If anything Vicky destroyed their family.
@@southanime As I’ve said, maybe Doug spoiling him rotten led to it as well. I’m not letting Vicky off the hook, either, because maybe her wickedness somehow rubbed off on Dale during his time under Vicky’s captivity and could’ve contributed to it as well. I mean look at what spoiling has done to Angelica in Rugrats and Eric Cartman in South Park.
@@kingbeef66 You're assuming all of this, His father was never shown to be this type of person... in fact he was quite the opposite. It's incredibly odd but the show decides to retcon his persona just to turn him into a monster. It's just shitty writing, but it justifies the message THEY want, so you can ignore it I guess.
This was Vicky’s fault on that part of Dale being awful
Exactly, Vicky and his father Doug Dimmadome.
Wait isnt dale dimmadome the kid who got imprisoned for years in vickys lemonade stand?
That’s what he said with the picture of the olden days
Yep, he reunited with father: Doug dimmadome, owner of the dimsdale dimmadome
The show isn’t the old one or on the same level but it’s better than the last 3 seasons
The animation actually looks really good
Even in the new series Vicky is the cause of so many problems

I love how cartoons tend to make rich kids as antagonistical jerks, except for Richie Rich
Bebe from Doug
Richie Rich isn't a d bag.
thats because rich kids do often turn out to be antagonistic jerks.
you dont become a kind person from growing up spoiled
But having more money donst make You worst until You learn to be that way by You enverioment, as always, is a family to reach they next gen well.
I forgot all about this character
So dale is canon but there are just going to to forget Timmy damn
They didn't forget about him, he's also canon since there were multiple references of him, he's probably in another place.
Timmy is imprisoned after tricking the fairies.
He comited many crimes.
Honestly? Timmy is infamous hall with all the bad godkids they have had . I heard cosmo and Wanda after Timmy went on an extended vacation just to decompress and be better fairys after being stuck with Timmy. Dale is older then Timmy like 13 to Timmy’s 10.
@@chaoticlady_fairy u know what I’ll take that answer
Finally people are sharing clips from this show. I was worried thinking everyone will hate this reboot without even giving a chance. It's so good and it's like a more tame version of the early FOP episodes. I am hopeful that once the show finds its footing it will be as fun and creative as the original
The older I get, the more I realize how warped the standards of wealth is in cartoons.
I don't know how many people have butlers, but unless youre a really busy powerful official or a frail old man, it's almost (comically) unreasonable or impractical for someone to have a butler (though I don't think I should be surprised there are a few over-wealthy jackoffs who has them for nothing).
in some countries its actually common for people to hire help if they can for other countries because its cheap.
This is the first time I've seen any clips from this show, and the first one is f'n great actually.

Same it’s cool af
Oh shit is the lemonade guy
So this isn’t a reboot, just a sequel series?
Yep
“I worked in a factory making lemonade for 7 years.”
That doesn’t make any sense. Vicky was only like, 16. Did she kidnap Dale when she was 9? I know there are cartoons that depict evil child characters, but keeping Dale hostage for 7 years really doesn’t seem like the kind of commitment Vicky would commit to.
Wow you really underestimated insanity
You forgot that at some point Timmy wished for everyone not to growing up so he could have Cosmo and Wanda forever. And it lasted for decades unnoticed...
i mean, not dedicated but i can see vicky forgetting about him
Oh you know she would keep him down there
one would imagine that he would be waaay more humble for the past he's been through
If every self made millionaire was humble their stuff wouldn't be so expensive and their workers wouldn't hate their lives
@@uniquenewyork3325 i love how you call him self-made. You're not wrong to call him that, either. Most of them come from old money and only call themselves that because they broke into a new market.

You would think that that man got therapy after what happened. Ik parents in the OG series were morons more often than not but with his dad's money he could have gotten his trauma (somewhat) sorted out. His dad didn't even really look for him for over 7 years, so i thought that would have made more sense.

Not bad for a reboot. Kept that goofy story writing from the original
If we see doug (as like some force ghost old man or robot with a screen face) im gonna shit my pants

My theory is that they look like that because a lot of the classic characters had a D-shaped head so the adults will also have a D-shaped head just like Timmy

Childhood trauma, you can never predict where the fallout will land. For Dale it was vengeance. Dale had his life ruined by Vicky and when he got money and power he spent his life dramatically overcompensating for the suffering he endured. Power and Money for a kid who had neither.
