The C2 OLED has been a literal GAME changer for me since 2022, and honestly hold up insanely well going into 2023. With the C3 around the corner, I gotta mention the C2 can still be the perfect TV for gaming and entertainment

Damn where did you get that Tv white Furniture with the side shelves i love it! :P
@@sylvainh2o IKEA! It’s actually two bookshelves with a tv stand.
I believe it’s called Harlanda
@@MinimalisTech Thanks bro! :)
@@sylvainh2o you’re welcome
Also I was wrong! it’s the Idanas set. harlanda is a couch I was looking at Lmao
@@MinimalisTech Hehe thx for the follow up yeah I was scrolling through couch and was like hmm? Then I found it by searching TV furniture 😂
To answer your question, hell yeah! Absolutely still worth it. It's just a great TV.
What about the B2
If you’re a gamer I’d advice the c2 it’s just one of the best gaming TVs
@@kravez16 thanks for the advice but I already have the TV. And I know how good it really is when comes to gaming.
not bright enough for HDR

I have the 65 inch LG C1 Oled, and you nailed it in this review. I have the Sonos Arc Soundbar, with left and right Sonos ones and the Sonos sub and it is a great setup for gaming and movies and sports. My little 9 year old gets a kick out of the movie theater like sound for Disney movies. I turned it up to 75 or 80 out of 100 and my wife could hear the explosions from call of duty outside. So it’s more than room filling. Overall have to say yet again, i love the channel and reviews you do. I also have a Series X and PS5 and Switch as i run mac and apple products at the house so i do not have access to gaming on PC. Keep up the great content and i wish both you and your family a safe and enjoyable 2023.
Same set up but Sony..gotta love the Sonos set up
@@BaezLife for sure, i am liking the new Sonos speaker they showed, the Era 100 & 300. Bet the 300 sound nice.
C2 blows the C1 away, just like the C1 blew the CX away, and the CX blew the C9 away
@@michael-4k4000 i mostly agree, I wouldn’t say the C2 Blows the C1 away, but it has some improvement to brightness for sure, me and the wife just bought a new house, so i am thinking about selling the 65 C1 and getting a C3 to replace it and a C3 55 for downstairs, if i drop the cash for 2 new C3’s i will stick with them for a good while and not care what comes out for a while, the next upgrade would be if 8K content ever becomes a thing.
Bought 7 weeks ago. LG C2 65inch OLED in early Jan 2023. Best tv ever. Perfect for movies & high quality tv series. Works well in a moderately bright room. Coupled with a good surround sound system (5.1 AV receiver) and you don’t get a better experience. I couldn’t be happier.
42" as pc monitor with 3070. I regularly clap my hands in awe when watching content. I love it. Ive had so many different IPS and VA monitors, but nothing felt perfect. This monitor(tv) does.
Hello. I had the c2 for about a year. If you are looking for a sound bar, I just purchased the LGSP9YA. Very wide and clean sound. And what ever you read about lack of base, not the case. It will shake the walls when it needs to. And it fits perfectly with the television without obstruction as it's "while very big" it's thin. So it tucks under the television. Just make sure you have space on the side as there are side fireing speakers.
I got a 65 inch C2 a couple months ago and I think it’s incredible. The gaming features are perfect with the new consoles. Can’t say enough good about it. It’s bright enough for my pretty bright room.
That good Huh?
Shame about oleds though they only last 3 to 6months before you need a new one I've had 10 so far and is getting way too expensive LGs are just not built to last

“If you don’t sub then you’ll wake up just before your alarm clock “😂

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😐
It's the worst waking up 10 mins before the alarm. You think huh I can still sleep some more but your delightment is instantly shattered when you look at the clock and realize it's time to get up to go in the darkness and cold to your shitty low wage disrespectable job slaving away for other people's business which they only use as a cash generator to fuel their private jet trips to the Maldives with their mistresses.
No, I kid, you should be grateful to wake up and be proud to be able to go to work! 🤡
I always do already
I did as well...😊
Clean, fast, to the point. Nice touches of humor. Well made. Liked and subbed.
Also, torn between this and the sony a80k. I've always loved Sony for their accurate colous, but this review really made me look at the c2 differently.
EDIT: Also appreciate you not showing off the sound. I hate it when reviews do that, when there's no way for the viewer to actually judge it.
For a soundbar, Sonos Arc for sure. Paired the the Sub and, even better, with a set of Ones for rear channels, it’s an amazing system. The fact that everything seamlessly works together so well and is wireless, it can’t be beat IMO. Can be a bit pricey, but you won’t regret the clean sound and easy installation.
I really like my Samsung q950a it’s paired with a b7 though which is still going strong!
doesnt the sonos arc block a lil bit of the bottom of your screen ?
@@asiatimepiececentre33 not in my case as I have my TV mounted on the wall with a bracket that holds the Arc beneath it.
I was going to suggest the sonos beam or arc. Arc is more beefy and offers above the head audio where the beam does not. And once you start with sonos you will probably never go with another speaker for your home. You can add speakers to any room, garage, outdoor patio, etc. and play your streamed audio through them by wifi, all from your phone.
Apple homepods. Two of them.
Great review. Really well laid out and easy to understand. Thanks! Subscribed!
I just bought a 55” LG C2 OLED and picked up a PS5. Definitely worth it!!
Does it look amazing w ps5 games? 👀 i want to buy this tv this week

Hello after nine months do you see any burning issues
Any burning issues?
Got a C1 65" for a crazy good price. Loving it. These tvs are incredible.
I use a 42inch C2 as my main PC monitor. Got it in July for my birthday and OMG it's been wonderful
The 65" LG C2 has been ridiculously good on my Xbox Series X. I don't regret the purchase in the least. It's a massive difference in every way over all of my other 4K TVs including the ones I've purchased the last 2 years.
You do regret something.
You wish you would’ve bought the 77”
65” is good enough.
@@whodontlikeit9356 no it isn’t
@@HateTheIRS I disagree, 65” is pretty standard.
@@HateTheIRS But you don't know how far they are sitting away from their TV. That's what determines whether a TV's size is large enough.
Picking this tv up tomorrow😎
Awesome review ! I got the c1 and feel the same way about it .
I have the C1 77" and I have a Sonos Soundbar and Subwoofer and it sounds amazing. Having the C1 and that sound system makes it feel like I'm watching in a movie theater
I bought a 65 inch C1 in September. Fell in love after a lot of adjustments. Bought a 55inch C2 for my ps5 December 7th and Love it. The C2 does look better maybe because I just lucked out on the tv being very very close to calibration. I paired both TVs with Klipsch cinema 600 5.1 . And Klipsch Cinema 1200 full surround.. These TVs imo are just amazing. I feel like I did spend some serious money but that money was spent well. Which is the goal . You can get get rid of the web os recommendations. There are multiple settings to turn of ads , adjust Home Screen etc. The magic remote actually becomes useful when typing in email credentials etc. I really like your clean minimalist setup👍🏼
I have the C2. Amazing TV's! No regrets. The only thing I hate is the stupid remote. The middle scroll button is a pain in the a**. Worst remote ever but the TV is definitely worth it.
I got a 77” C2 a couple of weeks ago and it is absolutely perfect
I agree. Great video. Get a sonos arc w/ subwoofer and the FIVES as rears. That's my setup. I actually got a 2nd sub but I have neighbors so I just use 1 for now until I get a home. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on LG C3 / LG G3
Thank you for this video 🙏
I got the C1 for Christmas last year. After your review I will be purchasing the C2 this year 👍
I totally understand wanting the 65" screen. I own both a C2 42 and CX 55. The CX was the first OLED that I ever got and while I do love the TV, I would like to have the extra screen real estate. Though until that TV starts giving up the ghost, it isn't going anywhere soon. Plus, it still has the former version of webOS, which was much more minimalist.
Got this last month, still amazing.
Go with a Sonos beam if you want a basic sound bar or go arc if you want an incredible listening experience. Couple it with the sub or even two sonos one speakers for surround and you will have a fantastic setup.
just got the beam(gen 2) with mini sub. Sound is ridiculous and at a much lower price point than the ARC and regular sub. The beam(gen2) also has atmos now. Add 2 ones and this is a $1500 sick home theatre set up. Even adding 2 mini subs still cheaper overall.
Thanks man, just copped three of these for my baby's monitoring system, he looks CRYSTAL CLEAR!
Love my sound bar Samsung Q990B. Base rattles the house and the sound bar volume goes up to 100. The volume is very loud in the 30s for watching tv or playing games. Listening to really loud music I’ve never needed to go above a 55 in volume. It sits in a room that’s 60’x24’ with ceiling being 10’. Been the best sound bar I’ve ever heard.
Just a quick correction 3:40 . Yes the Xbox uses AMD Freesync Premium on the LG C2 however the PS5 does not use Nvidia's Gsync. Since the CPU and GPU in the PS5 are from AMD, I doubt you'll see Nvidia jumping to add this support either. Currently the PS5 uses the VESA adaptive sync tech (with ALLM as you mentioned).
Butter smooth visuals for all of us gamers!
I was looking for this comment in case no one commented. No biggy but should be pointed out. Thanks for posting.
I just set mine up today (65”) and I instantly connected all my consoles to the HDMI and even a framemeister upscaler for the retro ones. Definitely amazed by 120fps on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
Tell me more about this upscaler. I still have Xbox 360, Ps3 and OG Xbox.
@@snowman22ism I wouldn’t recommend it for the consoles you mentioned as they all have HD configurations. It’s mostly designed for older gen consoles that play in 4:3 ratio that would really look terrible on an HD TV. It was designed for for retro consoles to work nearly flawlessly on an HDTV with no input lag. But if you really want to know more it’s called “Framemeister” it was designed in Japan. I got mine for $230 a while back. But they’re now going for astronomical prices as it’s an amazing quality product for what it does. I recommend it for like NES/SNES/SEGA Genesis or CD/Saturn/NEC TurboDuo.
@@SEABASSTHEGREAT Ok.. Thanks... I figured the Xbox might get a little help from it because when I play it on my 55" 4K TV it looks so bad.. A blocky mess.. I got a 32" TV to see if that would help but it only look marginally better. I guess maybe if I play from the other side of the room it will look a little better... maybe... Appreciate you taking the time to explain... Cheers!
@@snowman22ism I mean, it deffo would work with an original Xbox. But it might be too expensive for just that one console. There are cheaper alternatives when it comes to upscalers. And Framemeister caps at 1080p. It’s only downfall in this generation. But it’s such a solid product in everything else it offers. It’s a shame they skyrocketed in price
this was exactly what I was looking for. I need a new tv and especially one that’s perfect for gaming. hopefully, I can get it on sale.
Solid review. Thank you.
I got out of work and went straight to best buy and bought the 42in for my desk. Using it as a gaming monitor. I fucjing love it. Only oled I’ve had was my iPhone and my iPad Pro being mini LED. Now I got these amazing ass colors on this huge ass monitor😋
Hey man I love your setup! Not gonna lie I just got my new TV stand in and definitelyy looked to you (and a few IG gamer accounts) for setup inspiration!!
Just got this tv last week. From a great panasonic plasma of 10years old. I thought it would have made my regular content better. You really need 4k hdr to make this set sing. Beautiful image.
C1 48inch is great for me, I paired it with full 5.1 Bose sound system and it’s perfect for anything that I watch,
You should get the Bose soundbar 600 it will be perfect for you with their 500 subwoofer for the lows. I also have their 700 surround sound speakers. This setup is crazy good for 5.1 Dolby atmos
I also use 2021 Apple TV
The JBL 9.1 sound system is awesome. Even though it's expensive it's worth it. I have the 65 inch C2 and the sound bar fits perfectly under the TV.
Wow how cool are you?! Very cool! Nice Tom DeLonge epi 😎 also I just bought the C3 OLED! Cant wait to set it up!
Thanks for this Famulluy
Tom's guitar on the wall and Edging playing on the TV!
Hey! I recently bought the same tv, mostly for watching tv shows and playing on XBX. Sure looks great! Have you done any calibration of some sort, for movies and tv shows? What is the best picture mode? If yes, do you have any videos on how to do it? :)
Can you walk through the settings you’re using to get that type of picture quality for gaming(PS5) and movies?
I got the cx 55” two years ago. Completely agree, wish I had gone with the 65 😢
What ambient lighting are you using for your tv, I love your setup
Subbed after I saw the Tom DeLonge signature guitar on the wall lol. Good stuff!
I just picked up a 55" C2 floor model on sale. Still more than I was planning to spend but it only took about 45 seconds of watching it in action to know I needed it in my life.
Upgraded from a 46" 1080p LCD set that's probably around 15 years old now, and the difference is just ridiculous. GF and I are couch co-opping Borderlands 3 and it's like a whole different game.
Huuuuuugee upgrade! Nice. What system y’all playing? Borderlands looks wild, it’s on my list to get to
@@MinimalisTech Xbox Series X, so getting the full 4K HDR 120Hz experience on this TV 🥰
Whatever platform you go for, strong recommend for the BL3 Ultimate Edition - comes with an absolute ton of quality DLC content, worth every cent!
I suggest the Sonos Arc and Sub Gen 3 combo. I personally have two full sets of the the Sonos Arc with sub and surrounds. They're awesome and very powerful. However, I have a house and the base does go through the walls. If you're in an apartment then perhaps I'd get a sub mini.
Thank you for the review, I'm excited about this TV now. As for soundbars, I still think does not do a good job as a full stereo.
Just brought myself a LG QNED, May not be an oled but i am really loving it
If you're going to use an apple tv 4k and you're looking for a sound system, you should consider two homepods. It will work wonderfully and it's seems that they're going to fit in the space you have there on each side of the tv.
For the price that two HomePods cost you can get much better sounding speakers my friend. Large diameter speakers are not that expensive nowadays. You can get a pair of studio reference monitors for like 400. And they’re a lot more accurate and will sound a lot better. 360 degree sound is useless if it’s only an one direction setup.
Just bought C2 55'' yesterday, upgraded from a 6 years old LG LED that started to have black tint on whole screen perimeter. Oh boy, what a difference! Didn't try much yet, but everything is so much smoother, even noticeable on movie from streaming service.
Never stop making content, it's quite frankly amazing
I still love this TV. For literally everything.
Hopefully i'll get my 65'' C2 tomorrow in time for the dead space remake thanks for the vid.
You forgot to mention fast pixel response times. That gives it an advantage over qled and gaming.
I have the Sony AT-H5000 sound bar paired with my C2. Sound is incredible.
I know in one of your other videos you mentioned that you'll take the TCL over the C2...do u still feel that way and what are the advantages of the C2 over the TCL, I'm stuck between the two and although I don't mind spending the extra cash over the TCL, I'm just wondering if it worth it or would the C2 be that much of a difference. I'm also a gamer and would like a all around good tv
I bought this a month ago as a Christmas gift to myself. Incredible TV. But damn, I won’t be buying anything else anytime soon 😢
Dude this is exactly like me aswell.
Same
i also make me a present for myself ;-) and i am still very happy with it
I understand that. Everyone I told about it just couldn't fathom spending over $1k on a TV but when it has pretty much everything that you can want, it is worth it.
Been looking at these since last years C1 but didn’t pull the trigger. Copping the 65 this weekend to pair with my ps5 and Xbox 🎉😊
You may consider the Sonos Beam Gen 2 for a small space
I use the C2 42" with a PC. It's very nice and games run quite nicely with the RTX 4080
Is there screen tear yes or no and do you get 120 hurtz with display port? I have a 4090 and looking to use for 4K gaming like single player games
@@yournotdatguypal Use HDMI 2.1 for 4k 120.
No screen tearing that I've noticed.
It does have G-sync via HDMI and works wonderfully. The C2 doesn't have displayport inputs so I'd opt for HDMI - HDMI cable that comes with the TV itself.
Vizio soundbars are one of the best imo. I gift them frequently to friends and family. Just make sure it's the newer surround sound dolby atmos.
I’ve got the 48inch C2 and it’s gotta be the best thing I’ve brought in years. The colours and quality of this tv is absolutely incredible. The ps5 truly comes alive when paired to this. Playing on a monitor won’t do the ps5 justice
I'm glad I saw your comment, just ordered my PS5 (after a long wait) and tomorrow I'll be ordering the C2 55inch - my tech friend wants this telly too for his PS5, and if he tells me it's the mutts nutts then I know it must be good.
Your comment has further cemented for me that I've made the right decision by choosing this t.v.
Thanks.

Watching the prices slowly go down on Amazon and the C3 is only just getting going in terms of stock, so looking forward to the 65inch come down even further, I'm gonna take the gamble that there'll be stock of new c2's for a few more months.
Just got a c2 65' yesterday. I got it at decent price. Any recommendations on led lights for behind the TV?
This was the review I needed. Im sold. Im planning on buying the ps5 soon and I want to upgrade my tv. I have the series x and switch. This tv is perfect. HDMI ports are enough and the quality is perfect all round
How much and which brand of lighting have you got behind the TV?
I'd advise that you look into a good pair of bookshelf speakers instead of a soundbar, the audio quality difference is huge.
I love when piece of technic 1 yr old is already "long term review". Just shows how consumerism is taking over.
Still clicked the video LOL
@@MinimalisTech You should learn what it means long term review. p.s. it's not for 5month old piece of electronic.
I'm going to get the C2 next month. Looking forward to it! I have the PS5, just need an amazing TV to play it on.
You will be more than satisfied with the C2! Its awesome for both gaming and 4k content!
I would wait for c3 buy that one or wait till c2 hopefully becomes cheaper
I'm going to say this again for other people to see.
I bought my first tv ever as this tv. LG OLED c2 and it has not disappointed. I've had it for 2 months now and even watching this video I was appreciating my TV. It is nice and lately I've been playing games way too much. But it's what I enjoy and I have been addicted to games more now because of this tv. Even watching shows has been nice. I just haven't watched enough movies. Planning on it. The colors and brightness is nice. Very colorful and bright. Everything looks so good. And the one of my favorites is that you can connect your Bluetooth earphones or headphones to your TV. I just now connected my earphones to it and I just got a new pair of turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 MAX headphones. That can connect to almost everything. I had the previous but I got my phone to connect to my wifi. Except some stuff came up and decided to not connect my phone and google chrome cast to my tv. But I had a taste of it. You can connect a pair of earphones or headphones to your tv. If you have a PS5 you can swap between both your gaming and straight to your tv. It has been nice. If I could go ahead and connect everything to this TV I know it would be amazing. It feels so luxurious thinking about how I can just connecting it all and always being able to easily access this TV with my phone if I use Google chrome cast. Not sure if I can do it without it. And use voice command to turn it on and use my phone as it's remote. It's insane to think about how at any moment I'm on my phone and I want to watch TV. Say I had earphones in. I can turn on the tv with my phone and with my voice. Disconnect my Bluetooth earphones and connect it to my TV. Then if I want to game I can do that. And depending on your headphones like the turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 MAX then lol you can just connect it to your PS5 after if you can't hear it already. Not sure because haven't gotten to try it yet since I've gotten it today. But I've been dreaming of this moment. Sorry for the long rant
@@urippe im glad you are enjoying the C2! Its a beautiful tv and even to this day it wows me. I recently got a 4k bluray player for it and the movies looks so good! I also got a soundbar with surround sound speakers and it feels like a movie theater. The C2 will keep us satisfied for a long time!
Waiting for a big discount right before Super Bowl !
Could you just a gaming setup video? Would be really helpful so I can set my TV properly
you should get a nice stereo speaker setup. it would fit perfectly to the left and right of the TV and blow a sound bar out of the water in sound quality
Just ordered a 55 inch C2 for my office/hangout room. Now I just need to figure out what cables I need for everything.
Nice video, thanks! How long is the power cable?
You can program apps on the lg remote for numbers. And it's actually bery usefull. 1 click access to spotify, youtube or any other app from tv turned off or anywhere is great.
While our 9yo Panasonic Viera still looks beautiful, it is very hard to play darker video games, and to an extent watch tv content, during the day because we have 11 windows contributing light to the living room, two of which are south-facing and directly across from the tv. Do you think the C2 is bright enough to combat reflections in that environment?
I'm using a Nakamichi 9.2. Sound bar system and it's great! Full surround sound with the dual sub woofers have been awesome for Spiderman Miles Morales and definitely God of War Ragnarok.
I just bought a 55” LG G2 OLED and picked up both PS5 and XBOX Series X Definitely worth it!!
Did you get your TV calibrated or is this straight out the box?
i got C1 and i’ll stay with that tv 3more years c series are great
Very nice Border Collie👍🐈⬛
hello friend can you tell me the model of the rgb tape that you put behind your tv thanks
I grabbed one on sale, using it now as my primary PC monitor (connected to Alienware laptop) + PS5 on the other HDMI port using HDMI 2.1 cables.
1:02 I feel called out. I watch this 10 minutes before my alarm clock will go off.
Any screen burn? Ive been using a C2 for pc for a couple months. As for soundbar I got the Samsung HW-Q950A and its amazing...Expensive but it worked for me since its 11.1.4. Upfire sound is ok. Normal surround is awesome
If you hook up a new Apple TV into the EARC port, get two of the new HomePod 2nd gen, not only will they sound amazing in stereo pair, but also the Apple TV will act as a hub so your consoles will be able to use the HomePods as speakers as well
I see this 42" on sale again now at Costco for $899.99 and it includes a FIVE YEAR warranty. For the risk of burn-in, that's actually insane. Of course, burn-in only occurs with static displays (task bars, etc.) Really considering that as a PC monitor and XBSX TV.
Just picked this up from Bestbuy to pair with my PC, and let me tell you it's more than worth it! I got it as and open box $771 excellent condition with a 5 year warranty no regrets!
I dont think anyone would honor the warranty for burn in
Just like you my friend super busy Dad incredibly hectic life with 4 kids but nothing beats just being able to zone out to 1-2 hours of gaming late at night. However my tv sucks in comparison to the LG C2, and up till recently I hadn’t realised how under-par the performance is on my series x and ps5 on a regular HD tv. Looks like I’m saving up for this puppy to change all that
I recommend the denon 550 heos sound bar. Pair it with a couple denon 150 speakers and a subwoofer and your gaming experience will come to life
I love my LG C2. I have the 42”. I was initially on the hunt for a 32” 4k Oled but i am happy with the C2 42” i just position myself a bit farther.
I just got a 42 for gaming on Wednesday. HOLY CRAP. Epic
Will a Sonos arc fit in front of it? Or would you have to raise the tv a bit higher?
what for tv or monitor u used in this video thanks for reviewing
How far is your couch from the TV? I was thinking of getting a 55" but it looks like the 65" might be the better option for how far away my couch is.
I have a the same tv, and I bought a LG sp8YA sound bar, and it sounds brilliant and it’s not expensive, I’m in Ireland and I got the sound bar for €400 euro of Amazon .
What about burn-in? Do you take any precautions to prevent burn-in or dead pixels?
@0:55 is that the LG C2 at 55 inches? And if it is, what exactly are your dimensions of your desk? I thought editing on something so big would be completely horrible but based on that angle it doesnt seem so bad lol. Thanks for the video. I just use mines for viewing movies/tv but I was looking to actually getting this TV and was wondering if i should wait for the new lineup of TVs to come out before buying. Its currently around 1100 on Amazon.
i just got this tv, hooked it up to my ps5 , started miles morales on 4k hdr 120fps , IT FREAKING AMAZING
I’m getting a 65 C2 soon. I’m setting up a game room, with PS5 & Series X. How far away should I sit?
