- ShareX Tips and Tricks - First Very Important Settings - Must See For Beginners. ShareX is free and open source and super powerful, but the menus are accordingly filled with literally thousands of options and for a beginner it's hard to find the most critical thing because you don't need a lot at the beginning to start, but you have to avoid to make a few mistakes. So here a few tips and tricks. Hope it helps.

@@saturndev Can't really remember. Tried to get used to and find similar efficiency, but never found. There are a few very nice extra features on ShareX, but it has never reached the speed and simplicity of Lightshot. Almost everything needs more interaction to do same thing with ShareX :-((
@@allcheckout as in when you hit print screen it took longer to launch with sharex?
@@saturndev Maybe a bit, but this was not the problem ... I was just missing a way to print, mark and share or save directly without invoking additional functions. That's the main advantage o the lightshot ... just hit the print button and have already all the functions ready .... was a bit missing that and so I went back ...
how do u save vids in different file formats (other than mp4 and gif obviously)?
Sorry ... not using it any more. Switched now to Greenshot

am having an issue which I never had before , now every gif I record the file size is big I don't know this is happening now how to optimize file size in sharex please

IDK ... using Greenshot now ... or maybe you mean the yellow highlights from Bandicam, which is my screen recording software ;-)))

how do i make it so that it starts running when i turn my pc on so that i don't have to launch the app myself
I guess there's an option, but can't tell because I went back to LightShot because it was much easier to use ... (shame on me ... lol)

@@Zephero Yeah ... unfortunately it's still the best tool if you need something easy and fast
Go to Task Manager and find Startup and enable ShareX... if you have an older OS then you can type "msconfig" in your search menu and find startup there and enable ShareX... or you can also search Startup Apps on your search bar and add ShareX there... Hoping it helps...
how do you delete your history?
Sorry don't know. I have moved back to LightShot after some time because I never found a way to make ShareX work as easy and fast as with LightShot.
