Triple H's match with Booker T at WrestleMania XIX was great, but the ending was hugely deflating.
HHH in 2000 was an absolute badass. HIAC matches, Street Fight, Iron Man match. Dude was a tough S.O.B. Also, his MY TIME theme was awesome.

I have Triple H's "My Time" entrance theme on my Spotify playlist. Nothing wrong with his "The Game" entrance theme that he began using from November 2000 to now, but his "My Time" theme is my favorite AND it was the theme that signaled the beginning of transforming from comedic babyface DX leader to savagely ruthless solo main event heel.

I was in middle school when No Mercy 2007 happened, and like most poor kids in the pre-network era, didn't watch most PPVs live. I remember my mind being pretty thoroughly boggled the night after, as Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross opened Raw desperately scrambling to coherently recap such an incoherent series of events.
I remember watching it when I got back from school on the Monday. I thought it was a brilliant show😅 maybe nostalgia talking

Goin into this, I expected Triple H winning Royal Rumble 2016 to be at the bottom, but I was utterly shocked to find a respectable amount of reigns beneath it.
What he fails to discuss is why it’s high up. He had great title defenses against Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose before mania

If you think about it the reign of terror was long term storytelling for Hunter to make stars out of Randy,Batista, Cena hell even Jeff Hardy in 2008. Now he is the most beloved man in wrestling.
i liked the no mercy fiasco. it made both orton and HHH look bad ass. HHH beats orton for the belt. defends it against umaaga then gets destroyed by orton.
had HHH/Orton at Mania 25 was a "No Holds Barred" match(which it should have been) it would've been better

I mean i think as silly as it was i get the idea of the Triple H's one night reign at no mercy. Randy's Viper gimmick was just starting up. The whole thing was he would wait until someone was weak before putting them down. Having Triple H go through Umaga weakened him enough for Randy to pick the scraps. That was his MO going forward after this.
I don't think it was silly at all. They had to fill time and improvise to cover for Cena's absence. Triple H had 3 great matches and looked like a fearless warrior, whereas Orton looked like an evil opportunistic bastard. It looks good to me
If you think about it, while Edge was elevating & establishing himself as not only The Rated R Superstar, but The Ultimate Opportunist on Smackdown in 2007, Randy Orton began to transform from The Legend Killer to The Viper that same year. It started when Randy kicked Shawn Michaels in the skull on an episode of Raw, leading to a match at Judgment Day. Then, Randy feuded with Rob Van Dam, which led to a match between them at the WWE One Night Stand pay-per-view. It wasn't until feuding with John Cena over the WWE title that Randy Orton really started to become more of The Viper, such as punting John Cena, Sr., John Cena's father, in the skull at ringside. What Edge did to John Cena in 2006, Randy Orton was doing in 2007, but went further than Edge had. Therefore, the birth of The Viper really began in May 2007 after Edge went to Smackdown & Randy Orton kicked Shawn Michaels in the skull. The rest of 2007 was just building upon Randy Orton's Viper character "Evolution(wink wink), through Randy Orton's second WWE title reign known as The Age Of Orton to the formation of The Legacy faction & tyranny throughout late 2008 & all of 2009.
6:40 he had actually beaten Taker the week before in a number one contenders match to face Brock for the WWE championship but on that same episode Brock was recruited by Stephanie to be a SD exclusive champ so since Hunter had won the number one contenders match he was made Champ by default
From 1999 to 2006, I hated Triple H and couldn’t stand seeing him as champion. Looking back on it, I gotta applaud him for doing a good job as a heel 👍
Yerp. I was like 13 in 1999 and hated Triole H.. looking back, he is one of ny all time favs. Especially from 98-02
HHH defended the WWE title in one night more then Reigns does in 6 months.
As a fan of the fed since 2000, I hated Haitch. Now as an adult, I have a great appreciation and respect for the best heel in the business.

I actually liked Triple H's run on RAW as a kid. ((Note I started watching Summerslam 03, so I missed the whole Booker thing.)) as he was my favorite as a kid, so I personally didn't mind him at all lol.

Kurt angle has around 12-13 total world title reigns. That would make for a video close to as long as this one

Now that its done, the reign of terror was indeed the darkest period for a world title. It had its moment every here and there but majority it was talk talk talk in 20 different segments every week.

Most underappreciated wrestler of his time.
Trips last wwe title reign had that match with Dean Ambrose at Roadblock. He’s said he really enjoyed that match and it was the best part of that reign. That dirty deeds and sneaky rope break made my heart jump when it happened

*I would honestly rank Triple H’s last world title run in 2016 dead last. Why? It was extremely pointless because it was just nothing more than a piss poor attempt at trying to get the fans to cheer for Roman which didn’t work and it was not gonna work during that time because the fact that WWE were so relentless with shoving Roman Reigns down our throats. It also didn’t help the fact that their match at WrestleMania 32 was egregiously terrible and in my opinion, it’s possibly the worst WrestleMania main event of all time.*
I liked it, it was short and sweet. It was good to see him as a vicious heel champ again for the last time, it's classic Triple H basically.

I honestly feel like Dean Ambrose was more deserving of becoming champion at the time, considering the fact that he was clearly the hottest babyface at the time but WWE being these stubborn selfish dirtbags they were stuck to their collars with Roman just so he can get all the glory at the expense of holding Ambrose back.
@@mycahjofficial The way things work in wwe isn't some dramatic movie script. Stuff is discussed seriously and it's all about making sure there's building blocks for the future. That's why wwe is in such great health as a company, because Vince books to leave as many breadcrumbs to be picked up for the future. Every decision he makes is based not on necessarily what will be the best angle but how much stuff can be built out of it for the future. Once Reigns got that title he put him straight up with AJ Styles and it turned out to be a good short term title reign. It even brought the very first introduction of the Bloodline for being a thing, in 2016 he was laying the bloodline as a thing that might be able to be something that they could come back later to and now it's one of the most celebrated storylines of all time arguably. Yeah, lol, Vince is an idiot 🙄

I was born the same day that Triple H won his third WWF championship against The Big Show, and I didn't know this until a few years ago, and Triple H was the man that got me into pro wrestling because of his theme song, thus making him my favorite WWF/WWE superstar, coincidence, I think not!
Triple H was unbearable to watch between mid 2002- early 2005.
He was always champion, long boring 20 minute promos. Long, underwhelming matches where he’d bury a WCW guy, Kane or someone like that.
The program was so focused on Triple H that it really wasn’t even Monday Night Raw anymore. It was the Triple H show featuring Evolution, and boy it was a tough period of time to get through 😂
Meanwhile SmackDown had the SmackDown six, Cena, Taker and Brock having bangers

The one thing I learned from this video is that Triple H always wins or loses his titles in the strangest ways.
Its almost never just a singles match for the title.

That 2016 reign is WAY too high. Everyone basically knew he was just a placeholder when he won it. Hardly wrestled, & had 1 decent match with Mox & a forgettable C- tier ppv I forgot the name of.
